Sorry, Tess, but I'm with everyone else. That kitty chose his home; you can't get rid of him now, especially since you've almost named him. Have him neutered - our males have never sprayed since neutering, and they have wonderful temperaments, too. BTW, have you read The Cat Who Came For Christmas?
We had a neutered male cat (which had to be put to sleep btw and broke our hearts) and he still sprayed. Honestly, we never had a problem with our baby Muffin Cat until a year or so after a move to a new home. He began to spray and piddle out of the blue. We tried everything to modify his behavior, but finally couldn't have him destroying our home. We had that cat for 10 years!
Our problem with a new one is we already have a cat and she is not very flexible. As I said, she's spayed so no issue there--she was also a stray who adopted us. In fact, our two cats who have passed on (Muffin and another female who lived to be 19), were also strays. What the heck, we must be stray cat magnets! LOL
I have read
The Cat Who Came for Christmas--you had to pull the book card didn't you!
Well Liz, Debbie, & Donna--you'll be happy to know that Buster, er-um, I mean the kitten w/no name is now perched in my husband's lap purring up a storm as they watch the UT/MU of Ohio game! We've prepared a place for him in the downstairs bathroom w/litter box AND food/water. Why do I get the feeling I'll be seeing the vet tomorrow!

Then again, I do have a friend who offered to take him (she's a sucker for gray cats) IF he was still here on Monday. . .that's just a few days away! We'll see how it goes with our Precious cat before we make a decision--right now, she's a hissing, growling, pacing fool.
