The New Lizard Lounge

Debbie I know that I have said it before, but "you rock". Well then, it is off to AKL we go. Should I be "concerned" about getting the 6th floor? I have heard that the 6th floor does not provide the best views. Either way, I am just so excited that we got CL. Do you think that DS2 would enjoy the Sunrise Safari? Don't know if this is really "do-able" with three little guys.

Big room wave to all the Lizards and I hope you have a great night. Do you all have any secret "recipe" that will make this counter go any faster.....

Amie

Morning everyone,

Getting ready to leave at the end of the week...we're really excited...got any last minute tips? :bitelip: :bitelip: :bitelip:

I'll post back once we get home...I'm sure I'll be rambling on and on about it. Have a wonderful day everyone! :cheer2:

Queenie, we'll be arriving very late on 12/9 and plan on hanging around the Epcot/MGM area for the whole weekend. Maybe we'll see you guys strolling the Boardwalk. Where did you decide to go for your romantic dinner?

Okay, question for any BC/YC/BWI experts. I want to send something down to the pre-planners. They have been excellent. At Halloween I sent a box of chocolates, but now I'm thinking of maybe something more personal. I saw some cute snowman magnets/ornaments at the Hallmark store with the names on them. I know there's Alana, Angie and Amy. Today I got a follow up e-mail from Lauren who I hadn't worked with before. Does anyone else know if those are the only 4 in the department? I don't want to skip anyone.

Thanks,
Tammi

Tammi,

We also worked with Darlene before our Aug '04 trip.
Can't remember any other names.

Tammi Those seem to be the same people we worked with for our trip three weeks ago. I just went through all of my old emails and I also had replys from "Darlene" and "Melissa". I mostly corresponded with "Alana". Wow, did I really write to them so often? :earseek: :earboy2:

Hope you have a great trip.

Amie

Thanks. I guess it's probably best if I drop Alana an e-mail and ask her how many. I don't want to leave anyone out. Even today they were able to book the Aqua Seas tour for my oldest DD and that's with only a little more than a weeks notice. That will be her gift. The other kids will have a few things under the tree to open. I got the Pal Mickey for DD8, I think she'll like him. I got them each a new pin lanyard also. Now I'm just hoping for good travel weather from New England.

If your two year old loves animals and doesn't mind a long trip, then yes! If waking up early isn't his style, then you might want to either save the trip, or see if they can arrange a sitter. All ages are allowed on the safari.

Will you be doing the sunset safari?

Tammi>> Your plans sound wonderful! I am sure Pal Mickey will be loved. We love him so much we ended up buying him a second time when we lost #1 at MCO! He's like another visitor with us and we hear the park through "his" eyes. Ok, so I am 38... we still love him! :)

Have a wonderful trip, Queenie!

Oh Tammi , your trip sounds so wonderful! You really know how to plan a great time. As our trip gets closer, and things at home and work have been so crazy, I am thinking I just want to park in a lounge chair, order room service and have a masseuse come right to the suite and take all my cares away. DH has been under an enormous amount of stress and is feeling anxious about leaving. DS has his very first swim meet while we are gone and DD13 has "discovered" boys and is making lots of plans with a group of 5 (3 girls and 2 boys). My 75-year-old parents will be in charge. Oh my, I'd better schedule another massage! DH just said today -"Do you think we should go?" YES!!!! I screamed. I have yet to pack but with just the two of us, how hard can it be? Looking forward to BWI CL! ANd I want to check out AKL while we are there - Debbie and johnsonet, you make it sound so fabulous! Have fun, QJ411!

Hi everyone!!
Tammi Your trip really does sound wonderful! I think you're right to ask Alana exaclty who is there! ::yes::
How is everyone doing? I just got back into town from a "destination wedding" :bride: and it was great - a nice surprise since I wasn't even excited about it (b/c I have a Disney trip - or two- on my mind 24/7!) :cool1:
Emailed AKL IPO today re. sending a package ahead of time and a few other questions. I CANNOT wait to get there! :rockband:
Have a good night ::MickeyMo

Thanks Minniesota. The plans have really just fallen into place. I can't believe how much I was stressing over everything just a couple of weeks ago. I have our PS's all set, but otherwise I think we'll be flexible with the parks that we visit. I am considering going a little crazy on Saturday night and go to the MK for Spectromagic. Not too sure I want to deal with those crowds though. Hmmm crowd on one hand, desserts & cordials from the concierge lounge on the other. Yeah, I'm going to do a wait and see for that one.

I'm glad to hear that you're going to check out the AKL. DH and I had a ps for Jiko's and we decided to go over early and see the lodge. It was so romantic and relaxing.

Your kids will be fine and you'll be amazed at how much hand holding you and DH will be doing. Have a wonderful time.

Tammi

Hi,

We're pretty close to booking AKL concierge for an upcoming trip, and had bunk beds once before at a non-concierge AKL room. Does the concierge floor have any rooms with bunk beds?

Many thanks!

The concierge floor encompasses both the sixth floor and also some of the fifth floor. I don't think you will have a problem making sure that you have bunk beds. Please let CRO know and AKL's IPO what your needs are. Being on the fifth floor is no problem at all, infact some people (MOI!) prefer it even though you need to take stairs or an elevator up to the lounge. You've made a great choice!

Well, I think I did good on my CM appreciation gifts. I got the list and I was missing one person, but this is her last week. I went to the mall today and found the Make a Wish ornament. I'm having their names engraved on each one. I thought that regardless of their holiday persuasion, this will still be something that they could have on their desk at work. $2 from each ornament goes to the Make a Wish foundation and it will hopefully remind each of them that they do a wonderful job with creating the magic for us Ornament Picture .

Guys and Gals,

I just came by to say see you later. We leave early Saturday morning for our trip to BWI concierge. Yeah! Unfortunately, I have not packed a single stitch of clothing.

[Mardesia stands in front of the room] "Hello my name is Mardesia, and I am a procrastinator."

If there was a 12 step program for procrastinators I would be the founder and CEO.

The good side is that my sis is coming to my house to watch the kids, so I don't have to pack their stuff, just make sure everything is clean.

I am suppose to be working as we speak to finish a job for Friday. Ask me how far I am on that. No you better not!

I did pay some bills this morning, so that is one task completed. I still have to get traveler's checks and buy some warm maternity tops, on top of the requisite packing.

I must stop browsing the boards and go pack. See you guys later. :thewave:

I am the Queen of the procrastinators, but having this Disney trip coming up gave me the incentive to get most of my other Christmas stuff done. Set a finish date of Thanksgiving, and we're actually about 90% there!
Have a great trip!

TammiMcMan... What a lovely idea for CM gifts -- especially at this time of year!

desiab... You are certainly not alone! ROTFL!!!   I can't even claim a fraction of the progress that steveanddonna has (have?) made on Christmas shopping!

I have been driving Goofy crazy with my on-again, off-again approach toward our trip which is officially scheduled to begin next Thursday! So many factors are making this a complicated venture right now, but as of this morning we're still all (most?) systems go. Kinda wish it were today -- once we're on that plane, there's no turning back!! ;)

Tammi Great idea with the ornaments. A very nice gesture, indeed.

To all the procrastinators I think you need to change your thinking. Procrastinating is not a "personality flaw", rather a "method to the madness". It still gets done, doesn't it? :D

Goofy's Muse I see you live in "Western MA". I went to highschool in Sturbridge and college in Amherst (UMass). Small world. Have a good trip.

I heard from Andrea at AKL IPO and she is going to put all of my room requests into the system. Yah! Our trip is five months away and they are already so great.

Have a good day, all

I know all to well about procrastination! I still don't have the suitcases out of storage (don't laugh, Tammi!) but that is on my "to do" list today! I discovered last night that our spa appointments were on the wrong day but BWI IPO waved its magic wand and all is well! Getting on the plane in the morning will feel so wonderful - heck, just the ride alone will feel like a vacation with no kids to manage. WHat can I say? I'm easy to please!

Goofys Muse I hear you. DD8 came home from school yesterday with a birthday invitation. It's her best friend and of course it's the Saturday we are away. So right now, she's going to miss that and her schools Christmas concert. I know she'll be a little sad about that, but I'm hoping that being in Disney and seeing her sister will make it all right.

My "to do" list is still very long. I keep telling myself that I'm not going to stress over it. I know it will all get done by Christmas. Plus, I have no problems with calling in for reinforcements and handing off chores. I plan on taking full advantage of having oldest DD home from school.

Minniesota What about the dishes?

Have a great day everyone.

Tammi

Morning everyone.

Has Goofy Suse returned from her trip yet? I've been looking forward to hearing all of the details. :flower1:

Have a wonderful day!
