Having just come back from Oahu a few months ago, it was fun to see some of the sites that we had just visited.

I read that Daniel Dae Kim has a new job as a t.v. show producer, but what will Grace Park be doing? So often co-stars leave a popular series in pursuit of more $$$$$ but we never hear about them again. Chin and Kono didn't have as much air time as Steve and Danny so I don't understand why they think they should get paid the same.

To spin this thread off in a different direction (sorry!) I read that Emma Stone's male co-stars have been known to take a pay cut to make sure her salary is equal to theirs. She's an academy-award-wining actress. Why shouldn't she be offered a salary equal to her male co-stars to begin with?!

Daniel can easily be replaced. But grace park I'm going to miss her.

How sad. I believe this was going to be the last season anyway. And I never saw Chin and Kono as equal leads with Steve and Danny I think they overstepped on this one and did a real disservice to the show's fans.

Some of the criticism was of the casting of two ethic Korean actors in the lead. Someone of Japanese, Hawaiian, Chinese, or Filipino descent might have been more representative. Can you imaging Jason Momoa on the show?

There was a very good article in the NY Times this weekend about that very subject. Basically, it said that they missed the boat when the show was first cast.

It's too bad that she's still a little young, but I'd love to see Auli'i Carvalho in a guest role.

Steve is almost definitely done after this coming season (his contract will end and he's on record as saying his body has taken a lot of punishment as he does his own stunts). I personally think they should wrap up the show after this coming season anyway. Danny probably wants to exit as well, you'll notice he only appears in about 60 to 70% of the episodes. That's because he doesn't want to spend much time in Hawaii, he's tired of it.
