I HAVE BEEN READING CONFLICTING VIEWS ABOUT THIS TYPE OF ROOM, ONE SAID THAT BECAUSE OF THE EXTRA SITIING AREA, YOU DON'T HAVE A BALCONY. ANYONE WHO HAS STAYED IN THIS TYPE OF ROOM, PLEASE ADVISE. ALSO IF YOU STAYED IN THIS ROOM, WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST, ROOM #, OR LOCATION .

THANK YOU FOR YOU HELP.

We stayed in a great room in 8/00 and I forgot to write it down. I was hoping someone here might help. It is in building 5, sago cay on the end. Perfect view of Castle and lagoon. Any guesses?

mm - sent you a PM.

Lodge towers on floors 2-4 have a balcony, ones on floor 5 do not.

Sago Cay Lagoon (MK) View end rooms are #5145 (1st floor), #5245 (2nd floor), #5345 (third floor), and #5445 (4th floor).

Hi

I would like to take my daughters for a manicure, pedicure or some sort of spa feature while in Disney.

Is the GF the best place to go for this? I found some info on Disney Institute. They have a minnie spa package that looks pretty good. Has anyone does this before? Would you recommend one place over the other or will they love it at either.

One more thing - we are staying at Wilderness Lodge. Are both the DI and the GF close by?

Thanks for any input!

Hey guys just back from GF on Nov. 2. Spent the week with my family and it was fabulous. Any questions? I can't get to work until Monday to answer but would be happy to next week. We stayed at Sago Cay room 5020. It was amazing!!!

Thanks so much for such an exhaustive post regarding the GF!!! I love to 'dream' of staying there one day. Maybe I can convince dh to bring me for our 15th anniversary!? :D

Anyway, FYI, the Garden View Lounge does take PS for the afternoon tea. I realize the original post was well over a year ago, so this may be a recent change. At any rate, dd#1 (10) and I have a 2pm PS for high tea :D on Dec 15th. We are going to get dressed up and go....just us big girls! :D

Thanks again!

Just got back Nov. 4. Had a great stay in Conch Key, I could lay in bed and see the castle. We had a blast.

OK, I'm thinking about this too much. We've decided at the last minute to go this December and knowing that the resort will be decked out for Christmas, would it be better to go with a lagoon view room or a garden (resort) view room? Cost is not an issue.

Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

Can you get a tower room in sugar loaf? If so how do you get the cm to put your request in, some cms dont know what I'm talking about or they tell me only tower rooms at the contemporary.

If you can get a tower room, do you have to request a balcony at that time? I know some dont have one. or wait and fax them?

thank you for your help

If you book a lodge tower room, you will not be able to request to be in Sugar Loaf Key. You can only be in Sago Cay, Conch Key, Boca Chica, or Big Pine Key. Sugar Loaf is lodge concierge rooms and suites only.

Hey California Dreaming sorry I have not gotten back to you sooner. We had a wonderful stay. We had specifically asked for a first floor room and they gave us one with a view of the monorail. Which my kids thought was great. The weather couldn not have been better. It was a surprise for my husband so he was amazed by the hotel. We had always wanted to stay there. I have to say it was the best experience we've ever had and we are totally spoiled. THe maid service excellent, and the only thing we found is that by the pool sometimes when people would leave there lunch leftover it took forever to get it cleaned up. People never seemed to throw there own trash away but the resort was spotless the pool area extremely well kept it was my kids favorite. It was awesome to see the monorail pass by while we were swimming (this is in the newer pool area with the slide and waterfall). If we can we want to go next year but DH needs to buy a truck so we'll see. But needless to say we have already started putting away our pennies.

I am in sugar loaf, how can I request that type of room ? when cms dont know what I'm talking about

Hi Joelle!

When you receive your questionaire (you receive a planning questionaire about 45 days prior to arrival) from the Concierge, there will be a section for room requests. You can request the Lodge Tower room. Or, just call/email them directly (the numbers and email address should be listed in your info packet). The Concierge staff will definately know what you are talking about when you make the request.

You may want to also call CRO and have them note the request on your reservation. There are only a few of them in that building so availability is limited. But, they'll try their best for you.
Happy Planning! :)

what room would you suggest for the sugar loaf conc -lagoon view-obviously partial to the mk

thanks
