Here is a link of some pics, they are near the bottom of the page.

Yes...the pics at the bottom of this website shows better seats than the picture on the rate and review section of All Ears. Channing's website is AWESOME!!! Thanks so much Alicnwondrin, I feel much better about it now. Most people do not even think about what kind of seat you sit in but to a "Pooh sized" person it could be an embarrassing thing so I know my DH will feel better about it.

Thanks also to Wishesqueen, Maxie86 and Mandymommy4 for helping me out. This board is great and all of you guys are getting me really excited for my first stay at the Grand. :cheer2:  :cool1: :yay:

BCV23 - :wave2: I'm glad you are having a good time, 60 seems a lot better than our 11 degrees this morning!:scared1:

We love Cali Grill, too, have a wonderful dinner! :sunny:

Loralie

no prob! There are plenty of great places to get GF info!
I will have to find some more pics of gaspies and add them to this thread at the beginning as well.

Having second thoughts on RPC i think i made my decision down to either RPC or Poly LV Club level. I would of made it RPC or sugar loaf but the sugar loaf looks very cramped. Can anyone give me a comparission between RPC and Poly Club Level:confused3 :confused3

loralie Here is a pic of Gasparilla's indoor seating area from this past August.

And here is a pic of the outdoor seating - taken from our room - also this summer.

BCV Its ok about Citricos the menu...but thanks for thinking of my request during your trip...:goodvibes I actually got the current one on Lives4Disneys new GF site...I love the CG...enjoy your dinner and I hope the weather warms up...

Maxie Thanks for the invite..I'm packing my bags...and my super spandex bathing suit...:rotfl: You know how I love those cananas...:lovestruc

IWISH I really like the GF Cafe for breakfast too...no park commandos here either...one of the nicest things about being at a monorail resort is being able to resort hop easily for meals...You might want to think about making ADRs for those breakfasts too...:confused3

Loralie I know what seating you were thinking about inside Gasparillas...they used to have tables with those chairs attached...they would slide from side to side...I didnt even realize that they changed them and I was there not too long ago...

Johnsonet Thanks for posting the pics of the new seating...if given a choice I much prefer the outdoor seating at Gaspys...birds and all...

Polynesian Alex SL is not really cramped...it is just a lounge for grabbing a quick bite...kind of like a small bistro...not for lounging like RPC and Poly...(although one floor of the Poly lounge is lots of small tables for dining..there is another floor for lounging there...depends on what you are looking for...I am an SL fan...like the easy access of the lounge from the pool area...also for current pics of the SL lounge Praline3001 post a bunch on the GF picture thread...

The best aspect of Poly Club Level is the castle view from the lounge, which you would also have from your room. However, Poly lounge is very noisy, and I prefer the food, service, and overall lounge atmosphere at GF RPC.

If you have a standard RPC room, be sure to request a castle view. A few rooms have beautiful views of the marina with the castle perfectly in the background!

I would stay with RPC over anything else, and request the castle view from your room.

Just wondering how many people eat breakfast at Gaspies or do you have breakfast at the GF Cafe? The prices seem reasonable at GF Cafe if it isnt too time consuming.

I love going to GF Cafe lately... especially for breakfast. When my daughter was little, I used to go to GG early in the a.m. and get milk, cereal, hot chocolate, etc. before we hit the parks early. But now we take it a lot easier... Still go to GG for snacks but not so much for meals.

Like Maxie86, we do both. Many mornings, I'll send the kids down to Gasparilla's to grab some quick breakfast and bring it back to the room. A couple of mornings, we'll do GF Cafe, or head over to Kona Cafe at the Poly. We love both GF Cafe and Kona for breakfast, so we usually leave some time for that - but, if you're park commandos, the breakfast items at Gasparilla's are decent.

This is us too :thumbsup2 If we're staying CL we have b'fast in the lounge a lot of the time but after a couple of days in a row I want some FOOD! ;)

BCV23 Glad you had another great lunch at GF Cafe. THANK YOU SO MUCH for finding out that Garden View Lounge info for me! I appreciate it  Have a wonderful evening and enjoy CG! Have a champagne cocktail for me :wizard: Looking forward to hearing about Citrico's too...

We love the breakfast spread at the RPC too , but after 2 or 3 days I something else besides carbs :lmao:

The GF Cafe has a really nice breakfast and the buffet at 1900 Park Fare is great too :thumbsup2
We're wanting to try The Wave in May , the menu sounds great.

Lately , we go to Gasparilla for snacks but not really for meals.

Melissa - I agree about the lounge for breakfast! It's delicious and we love it, but by the 3rd day, we all want some eggs and bacon!!

We will go usually once to Gaspies for breakfast. I love their Bacon ,Egg and Cheese Croissant! So good , although calorie laden of course! Oh well - it's vacation!
We usually do GF Cafe once, although the kids are perfectly happy with their eggs, Mickey waffles from Gaspies.
We like to do Kona once for breakfast too! Love their Macadamia nut bread and Fruit platter! :)

There's no such thing as a calorie on vacation :rotfl: :rotfl:
I need to try that Bacon , Egg and Cheese Croissant at Gasparilla , everything is better on a croissant :lovestruc

We're staying 7 nights in May.
7 nights is long enough to have fun at the parks and enjoy the hotel and the lounge :thumbsup2

In October 2007 we took a quick 4 night trip and that WAS NOT enough time at all :sad2:

Yes after a few days I am sick of the lounge bfast as well. I LOVE the eggs benedict at the gf cafe!!

Alex I am sure no matter where you stay you will have fun. SL and RPCs main difference is space and atmosphere. I love the Cms at SL robert is great and so is Suzanne. The food is all the same. There is more space at the RPC but at least you are at the GF. Just make a great plan to get the most out of your stay.
