Are you looking for pictures of the views, or the rooms themselves? (Since the rehab, all the rooms pretty much look the same, unless you've booked a deluxe, lodge tower room, or suite of some kind.)

I'm afraid I don't have any pics of the hallways. The GV room I stayed in back in '05 was a dormer room in Conch Key with the old decor, so it won't look the same as what you'll see today. However, here are some pics of the view:

The other times I've been scheduled for a GV stay, I received amazing upgrades from the GF staff. It's certainly not the norm, but it can happen.

How do you get to a dormer room ? it looks like there is no way an elevator can go up there

There are dormer rooms on the upper floor of each outer lodge building - they are a request only, and should be available in garden, lagoon, theme park view, and in SL. The elevator goes to them just like every other floor. They just look more set into the eaves of the building - you have a cathedral ceiling that can make it seem a bit more airy, although I think technically the square footage is a bit smaller because of the angles of the room. The balconies are solid, too, and you must be standing to see over them.

I think I am truely a strange bird. I loved AKL and hated WL. I loved BWI and YC and hated BC (noisy loud and bad CS we had room issues). I loved CR and have never tried GF or Poly (no hot tub). After reading all of this thread I am beginning to think I will have a new love GF It seems right up my ally. However a Basin store right in my hotel could be dangerous to the bank account.

Princesses, when we were there I had them make me two bath bomb baskets for my kids...they loved them!

I think kids love bath bombs!!! I love them just sitting in my bathroom...they make the whole bath smell so lovely.

I miss that place!!! (GF AND BASIN White ) And the fun GALS I was with!!! It was the BEST vacation ever....I get all smiley and laugh when I think about those fun times we had. I can't wait for our next GF Gal trip together.

We had the lady in Basin White make some gift baskets for some wonderful GF CMs that treated us like royalty! (well they ALL did...but we couldn't afford to make so many gift baskets! so we had to choose a few select CMs ) We did all Pink Sugar!! I think that is a favorite. But I think Lemon Sugar is a big Basin White favorite too.

I agree..I love Basin products! I got most of my things at Basin this trip though, not Basin White! I wanted to try a shampoo bar but didnt love the scents in White so I got the Moroccan Mud at DTD...I like it! My kids like it, too! I also got them some Mickey Bath Bombs and they cracked up laughing at the site of it!

I miss all you guys! I wish it could happen more often than annually!

Melissa...my daughter uses them and likes them...and Siobhan just posted right above you that she and her kids like them too.

My daughter has blond hair and swims all summer..and they have a really nice one that gets the chlorine build up out.....

Siobhan...we should try for an October weekend getaway!

Tinkaroo Congratulations!! A new generation to turn into GF fans....also beautiful pics...

IWISHFORDISNEY I am a long time CR fan too....like so many others vacationed there with my own parents...BUT once you stay at the GF...it really is incredible...cant wait to hear your review after your stay...

Basin is addiciting...its great that there is a store in the GF...we shopped at that one and the one at DTD last trip...good thing there arent any in the parks...

I love that if you order from Basin White the package comes from the GF...

The GF really has many nice shops...so many of the other resorts have blended things together and dont have individual shops any more... made them kind of like a small emporium...

We're off tomorrow. We get in fairly late so we're staying at the Airport Hyatt tomorrow night and we'll head to the GF first thing Friday morning.
