What kind of weather should I expect in the Hollywood area?

I visited Disneyland and Universal back in April and was caught off-guard by how cold it was despite it being around 70 degrees. In a couple weeks, I’ll be spending a few days in the Hollywood area; I don’t want to pack nothing but shorts again if it ends up being cold.

So early October, probably hot but weather is weather.
Not sure why you wouldn’t expect it to be a little cooler in April but packing a light jumper/jacket and a pair of pants/jeans sorts that issue out.

I mean, I didn’t expect to be shivering the way I was; it felt colder than my home in New York. Luckily, I did bring a jacket.

If you go to weather underground you can see the historical weather for Los Angeles. That should help.
