I agree. In WDW, we've never stayed club level, we're never at the resort enough to take advantage of all the services (food! ) Whenever we go on other vacations, especially tropical resorts we always stay club level. Those vacations where you just plan your day around food, sun, pool games and that can't be missed poolside bingo!

I am booked for one night at RPC in December. It will be the first night of our stay before we move over to the BCV for the rest of the week and is a special surprise for my mom. Does anyone have suggestions of how to make the most of our time at the GF? We will be arriving fairly early (11:30 AM) and have not made any park plans for that day. Congrats!! 1 night is better than none!! i am trying to get in for 2 nights in Sept....! STAY at GF the time you're there!! Enjoy it!

About the CABANA BOY ......we lounged around the pool a couple times and there was always cabana boys and girls coming around taking drink orders.

Panthergirl...I just got back from a great magical RPC stay. Due to the large park crowds we spent a lot of resort time. The beach, the pool, we didn't rent a boat but we've had fun other times doing that, hanging out in the lounge area listening to the live piano and band music. We spent a lot of time visiting with our conciege CM friends. They are great and love to meet guests.

Enjoy! RPC is a wonderful treat.

We'll be in a GV room (requested Marina view) do they have DVD players in the room? Need to advise the babysitter so they know whether to bring one or not.

I believe DVD players are only provided in the club level rooms. I have no idea if there are any that could be had by request, but to be safe, I'd have the babysitter provide one if possible.

Hey, my cabana boy didn't bring me drinks!! (Maybe because he was only about 18) The fridge was stocked with non-alcoholic stuff and the bar is right there, so I didn't mind walking for my margarita... I think the cabana is one of the nicer (and relatively inexpensive) indulgences over there!!

the cabanas are the main pool with the water slide and waterfall
there are none at the quiet pool

OK - a rumour i've just read on the rumours board is that the GF is banning children from certain parts of the hotel. Now I know that V+A have an age restriction but is something else happening too?

NOt sure my holiday in Aug will be any good - three weeks at GF with 2 children!!!
