Lives4Dusney, all I can say is WOW!
I love how that room looks and that patio is great!!!
I think i would like to stay there at some point. How relaxing to be on that patio and see the castle and hear the sounds of the train that circles the park.

Hmm I see the links to the floor plans aren't showing up in my post above.

Was that wrong of me to post? I figured since the link to those plans was at the beginning of the thread it would be alright.
Anyone know if that was wrong or maybe the link is just down?

Sorry to interupt the thread.

We're visiting the GF in the summer for 3 weeks.

We've only booked basic rooms, but are now thinking un upgrade might be nice but our Travel Agent can't do that. Do you know if it's possible to upgrade the room upon arrival (and pay the difference) or even better if they will upgrade in advance even though it was originally sorted by a Travel Agent?

Hope that makes sense? :confused3

Thanks.

If the rooms are available you shoudl be able to upgrade. If they arent your TA should keep checking several times a day for you and then you could ask if its available at check in.

What are you looking to upgrade to ?

Well - there are four of us : me, DW, DS (9 nearly 10) and DS (2 turning 3 when we're there). It's the children that are making me think we might need more space for the three weeks?

Do any of you know the approx cost of various upgrades?

Hi Kev!!!! I am not sure but why can't your TA upgrade you? You can booked online even and get the upgrade so the TA can't upgrade doesn't make sense to me? Did they give you a reason why they couldn't upgrade you?

If you are wanting to upgrade during the summer months, remember that is peak season for Disney. Chances are the GF will be booked at 95%. I seriously seriously doubt they will have rooms to upgrade you for the entire 3 weeks. Your best bet is to try and upgrade NOW while there is still rooms available.

Were you looking at a dormer or suite? Not sure what you are thinking of upgrading to? What are the dates your going?

TA can't upgrade as all there room allocations from the UK have been taken - I don't understand either.

We're arriving July 31st.

A guess a suite would be the better bet?

Thanks for the replies guys, but I think we wont be able to afford it. Just checked the prices from the US site and the cost of a suite is more than double to price we're paying for the three weeks standard room from the Uk deal we got!

I'm sure the room will be great anyway!!

Maybe the suites are all booked up? Not sure how far out they fill up. I am also not sure about the whole UK rooms thingy. It might be worth it for you to give Disney a call and see if there is another way around the TA?

If you really want a suite you need to book it way in advance.
I would start making phone calls ASAP to get it set up.

We had a regular room with 2 adults and 3 kids. The boys slept in the same bed together (queen) and the little girl slept on the sofa sleeper. We did just fine. My kids' ages are 13,10 and 6. sure the boys would have liked to have had their own bed BUT... they were so beat at the end of the day I had a tough time getting them undressed let alone arguing in the bed :rotfl:

Hi, guys!:wave2: OMG...there are new smilie guys!!!:p :hyper:

Very OT...but I am on a shoe quest:offtopic: :confused3 ....I like flip flops because they're comfy and cute. ;) I have worn Teva Mush and other Teva flip flop styles Olawahu etc all day in the parks and been very happy.....but now I was looking at the Havaianas....anybody wear these to the parks all day? They have some fun colors.:thumbsup2

Kev Kendall
, I think you'll be fine in the standard room. I guess my only issue with such a NICE long stay would be where to put all the stuff I'd bring....The new GF rooms do not have much in the way of drawer space for unpacking. We bring a bag per person and we really don't unpack, but those bags in the room take up space. I heard that you can unpack and have bell svc store your empty luggage for you, but I just can't bring myself to unpack....for a 3 wk say I would! Enjoy!!!:goodvibes

Channing, Havianas, while very cute, hurt my feet when wearing all day whereas Teva Mush do not ... That's just me!

Also OT, has anyone been on an Adventure by Disney trop? Did you like it? PM me as to not take up space the GF thread. Thanks!

THanks!! I just ordered a mish mash of stuff to see what is good. I don't know if it will even be warm enough the middle of March to wear flip flops. I just like them best.

Channing :goodvibes

I don't know how you girls can stand flips!!! I HATE THEM SOOO BAD!!!!!:crazy2:

I would rather wear heels to Disney than flips!!!! :sad2:

Channing, we want pics of the new clothes when they come in!!!:cheer2:
I am always on the look out for new clothes for summer :p

I didn't know they would hold your luggage for you?!?!
SHOOT that would have been HELPFUL to know a few weeks ago :mic:

I am hoping luggage won't be TOO bad with just Savannah and I :lmao:
Of course the costumes have to come with us :scared: :sad2:

You know it will be bad. Don't even hope. ;) You'll still need a stretch limo, too.

OK, I will post pics. I am kinda nervous... I paid big bucks for that sassy Minnie Mouse pirate outfit and that seller has remained mum on WHEN it will be completed, Every email question I send I feel like I am having a one sided conversation:rotfl2: You know about measurements, sizes etc, colors, etc... ...she's one that told me after I bought it that it could take up to FOUR WEEKS to complete:sad: .....give me a break. :rolleyes2 I will be so miffed if that is the case. I think even I could LEARN to sew in that time.:rotfl: It was my most expensive thing and I need it.::yes:: I will be soooo bummed if the stuff looks crappy.:faint: I can just see it now.

Channing, did you look at their ratings? When getting custom made stuff I always check the ratings. I know its not 100% accurate but you will get an idea.
I have bought loads of custom made stuff on ebay ...not usually disney stuff... and have never had trouble. I will say that 3-4 weeks is the average for a custom made outfit. That is why I was doing my orders NOW and not waiting until 3 weeks before we leave :rotfl: :sad2:

Good luck and I can't wait to see as that pirate outfit was adorable!

SL question....

Do you get turndown service every night in SL? Is this a MAYBE you might get it or a for sure 100% you will have it kind of thing?

Is it considered proper manners to grab a coke or drink on your way out to the parks and take it with you? Or do they frown on this? We are not talking about me bringing a cooler in my backpack and loading up :rotfl: but I was thinking we could grab a drink on our way out :confused3

Same thing about taking stuff to your room? If Savannah grabbed a dessert on our way to our room, is it considered good form for her to take it to the room with us? I am not talking about bringing a tray from the grill and loading the tray up here :rotfl: but again I wasn't sure on the proper manners about this?

What do you gals do and has anyone ended up in Disney jail for taking a coke to their room? :lmao:

They do turndown every nights.

I take few and throw the cokes in my fridge so when I get back at night and the lodge is closed I have some cold drinks.

I also grab one when I go out and throw one in my bag.

Sometimes when the lounge is packed I take the breakfast up the room. No one has every said anything to me.
