Thanks k&a&c'smom! Great photo. You complete me!![]()
Did online check in todayand it gave us an option for BPK and BC. Weird why only those 2 choices? I have never even seen choices before on the online check in. We did Boca Chica to hopefully avoid a construction view.
Hi! I am a new poster to this thread and I have been trying to read it all. So I am sorry if this has been asked before. We are hoping to stay at the Grand in June. We have never stayed here before but have visited the resort for dining etc. on several occasions. Will the construction keep us from enjoying our stay? Is there a particular room location to request that is farthest from the construction? We were also interested in the movie on the beach, the water parade, and plan on walking to the Poly for breakfast one morning. Will this still be possible with the construction?
I am loving all these pictures!! I am getting so excited for next week!! Only 8 more days
to wait!!!! I ordered a mini wedding cake for our 40th anniversary, can't wait to see it.
Welcome!Congrats on your first stay at the Grand!
Hopefully, the construction won't be too noticeable in June, but tough to say at this point. We have several posters going between now and then, so if you check in here periodically, you should get a sense of how the construction is affecting the rest of the resort.
If you want to request the furthest building from the construction, that would be Sago Cay. I don't know what catgetory you have booked, but you can request this building for garden view and theme park view (possibly lagoon view).
The movie on the beach is no longer possible, as the beach is under construction, but the movie has been moved to the courtyard pool. No camp fire.
The path to the Poly is still open, and is projected to remain open throughout construction.
HTH!If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Nearly there, so exciting!!![]()
Thank you for the tips. Thats a bummer that there won't be a beach movie or campfire. But we can enjoy the pool movie.I will make sure to keep reading posts for updates!

I am a bit behind, KCMike I loved your photo of the photo of the wooden arbor over the pool area. Such a cool shot. By the way, any news of a possible trip to WDW with your kid's marching band next year?
We got the breakdown for the trip. $1200 per person. They drive by motorcoach all night. First day ocean and check in, 2nd day SeaWorld, 3rd day Universal, 4th day Isle of Adventures, and then drive back home by motorcoach all night. They will also visit medieval times for dinner one night and see blue man group.
We weren't expecting the trip to cost this much. If all of us went that would be a pretty steep investment when we weren't planning on going back or doing a vacation that year. We have until March 23rd to make up our minds.
I'm really not interested in seeing all the above things but I want the kids to be able to go down with their friends and experience the band event.
I'll keep you posted. Thanks for remembering.
PS. The news of snow white's scary adventures makes me sad. Why close it and put in more meet and greets?
Think of me too lulu's momK&a&c'smom, wonderful pictures of the shops! I absolutely love Basin White! The bath bombs, the soy candles, ahhh the wonderful smells.
I was in touch with the GF IPO today, putting in a room request (we like the first floor of SL) and asked for an early checkin if possible. They were really nice, couldn't promise anything but said they would try..
Lulu'smom, your trip is only in a few weeks! You must be getting so excited my friendI am hoping you will get over to the GF at least once. Think of k&a&c'smom and I when you are there! We will be there in spirit!
