LOL, the Poly is really special to us as it was our very first resort we stayed at for our first WDW vacation.
Very special to DS too. But he loves the GF.

And he's stayed at all the other deluxes and concierges, too, but he really loves the GF the most! Loves to take the boat over to the Poly though and eat! ;)

Thank you - very excited for our first stay! I was looking at the photos from the first page of this thread (maybe we'll just take the comforters off the beds ;)) I actually booked a deluxe room, because that was what was available with the disount (outer bldg), so I'd love to see some pictures of those rooms if anyone out there has them. :flower3:

Many people DO take the comforters off the beds, in all the resorts. If that makes the room feel less "girly," go crazy!;)

Here is a link to page 2 of the previous FAQ. Scroll down to posts 25, 26 & 27, to see photos of the SL deluxe room - it will give you an idea of the layout, though the decor is now changed. Keep in mind, the couch no longer is a fold out:

Would anyone mind if I did a little dance? We are one month away from the GF. But, we are less than three weeks away from the start of our trip. As we travel quite a distance, we like to make our trips to the United States 'count'. So, we are spending a week in NYC before Mickey's Place and making a couple of stops post-GF. I hope you don't mind my completely uncoordinated dancing. I'll try not to embarrass everyone, or take up too much time. I just feel the need to let it all out.

:dance3:

Thank you.

You dance divinely, k&a&c'smom. :yay:

Ooh, I wouldn't mind a swim in the Courtyard Pool to cool off from the dancing. Thank you, KCmike.

Oh, I agree with you, followthatmouse !

Wish I was swimming there now! Great pic, KCMike!:thumbsup2

It doesn't matter how tall, intelligent, mature, down to earth he is as an adult. Deep down he'll still be your little boy when he's 90.

Thanks so much for the link - those pictures are great! That extra space will come in handy since we're "merging" two families. I better make sure to request a balcony - it looks like the top floor rooms don't have one. Also, since you've been so helpful:), any suggestions for building requests??

jdd - those photos were of the tower (deluxe) rooms in the Sugar Loaf building, which is all club level. I'm not sure how many deluxe rooms with balconies are in the other buildings. If anyone has some input, chime in!:goodvibes

My favorite outer building is Conch Key, for its proximity to the boat dock, courtyard pool, marina and Gasparilla's. Boca Chica is a close second, and is close to both the boat dock and courtyard pool, with a nice view of the main bldg. If you want to be closer to the main bldg. and both the themed and courtyard pools, I would suggest Big Pine Key. If you like peace and quiet, Sago Cay is a good choice; it is close to the bus stop, Gasparilla's and marina.

followthatmouse - Are you sure you were lookin' at me?!;)

Lulu'sMom - Very sweet of your son!:lovestruc Treasure that moment, they can be few and far between with grown sons.;) I have to say, my oldest DS(25) hugs a lot; the second DS(23) is more reserved, but I know he feels deeply, just can't say it as readily.

IPO did a fantastic job, ADRs are done!

180 days!
