Mr. Disney - spiders crawl all over these forums (and will pick up email addresses) Might want to edit those or edit them out so they don't get spamified. :earseek:

Isn't it silly sometimes what we will pay for and what we won't.

The laundry question cracks me up - I purposefully plan in laundry time to get AWAY from DH and the kids! I don't care how nice the hotel is, Laundry Time is down time for me!!! :rolleyes1

Thanks for the tip, MickeyMac. I had quoted them in my reply to him, so I edited my post.

Thanks! Do they assist with both RPC and SL? Should I "mention" you or will I get terrible service if I do? :rotfl:

And the answer is... Travis does remember you, Mister Disney!

Another FYI, here is some info he sent me: "It would be my pleasure to assist you , I do need to let you know that we work as a team but we understand that some guest want a certain contact person. With [Mister Disney] he was a Platinum Plan guest and they do get one planner which was me."

Hopefully, I was not a "nightmare" guest for him

Has anyone used in room childcare in RPC? This trip I will have a 3 year old and he can't go to The Neverland Club.

Do the Concierge CMs have favorite sitters that are familiar with the lounge? Is there a hour minimum?

Thanks,

Lori

Oh good question! I've sent my itinerary back and requested the same thing for one night. We will be at the RPC too. I'd love to hear if anyone has used Kids Nite Out at the GF.

HI
I am going to be staying at the Grand Floridian in August. I booked a ap discount room with standard view. Do you think I have a good chance at getting a upgrade or room with a view if I ask. It is my second time staying there however the last time was 15 years ago. You seem extremly knowledable.
Thanks for the info :flower:

Greetings, everyone. I'm here at the Grand Floridian and typing this message from the concierge lounge in the main building. Believe me, I'd rather be at the pool, but my son isn't feeling too well right now and our room isn't ready just yet so I decided to stay with him for a bit as he fills himself up with fluids. My daughter should be done with the Grand Adventures in Cooking Class in about 20 minutes, so I will be heading downstairs to pick her up soon. I've got our swimsuits in a tote bag, so if my son gives us the okay, she and I will hit the pool (hooray!) until it's time for her to attend the Wonderland Tea Party. After that, our room should be ready.

I do want to note that when I dropped my daughter off at the Mouseketeer Clubhouse this morning, I noticed a large flat panel screen on the wall, and also four smaller flat panel screens (for Sony Playstation 2's, no doubt). I will try to get a few photos of the kids' club so that you folks can see what it looks like now.

Wow, you are actually there? I am so jealous :guilty:
I just returned from there about 2 weeks ago. And I miss it so :earsboy:

Janet2K - Hope your son feels better soon. I will be there in about 2 weeks with my 3 kids and I am PRAYING no one gets sick. (No hurricanes, either for that matter!)

That is so great that you are on the DIS while at the GF. My two girls will be trying the Alice Tea Party for the first time. Could you please let me know how your daughter enjoys it?

My younger one is all gung ho, but my older daughter is vision impaired (they are aware) and she is a bit nervous - just a bit- about being away from me. I am sure she will be having so much fun she will get over that quickly, but if I had some details of the party I could tell her, I know that would help.

THANKS so much!! Enjoy your stay!! :flower:

Couple of quick questions:

First, repeating what was aked earlier...Any recommendations for in-room babysitting at the GF RPC, or should we just ask for a recommendation from the RPC CMs?

Secondly, what is the smoking room / non-smoking room situation in the RPC? Is it all smoking optional, can you request non-smoking, how does that work?

Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Janet  ,

I'm so envious that you're at RPC as we speak. Thanks for letting us enjoy your vacation along with you. I hope you have a great trip and that your son feels better real soon. OH, I can hear the GF orchestra playing right now.

Lori

We have a standard GV in September. Without GF concierge, will someone let us print our boarding pass for Southwest since you can't check in with SW at the resorts? FI freaks if he can't get an A pass and I'd prefer not to spend my last full day at the airport!!
