Does anyone care to share any pictures they may have of their MK view from their room? Would love to see :flower3:

Hi, I looked and looked and cannot find a picture from our GF main building balcony. ???? I could have sworn I took several. It seems sometimes my pics get "lost". I KNOW there are some missing now that I took a good look.

Found some new ones for my signature, though. ;) Girls only trip after our family Thanksgiving trip.

okay those beautiful smiling faces beat a MK view anyday! What adorable girls!

Traci, THANKS so much. When I look at them I smile. :flower: They light up my life, really.

Your children are adorable, too!! :sunny:

I am miffed about those missing pics, though!!! I KNOW I took them. On our August trip, we were in the room on the end and had a perfect view of the monorail track & monorails cruising from the station at the GF to the MK, and also straight out across the lake at the castle!!! ugh! Sometimes, I think my camera must be full, but it just lets me think I am taking the pics. I hate hate hate my pentax digital. I had an awesome Fuji, but bought the Pentax as it was really super small & pocket size.

Thanks for the sweet words,

Cass, I have a family of 5, so I cannot book the concierge deluxe rooms as they either have 2 queens or a king - no daybed.

If you just booked main building concierge, you most likely have a regular room and they have 2 queens and a daybed. You have to ask specifically for concierge deluxe and it costs just a bit extra a night.

I would rather have the 2 queens/daybed, so I guess I should just stay put.

What are the upgrades in the deluxe room from the regular RPC concierge rooms?

me again....
We are not AAA members. Can you still get discounts at the GF? What are the codes I see from time to time on threads? :confused3 momma confused

Hi Tammi, out trip is for 2 moms & two DDs (13) I was hoping for queens & a daybed. Would deluxe offer this?
No. The deluxes offer 2 daybeds only. That's why there is a maximum occupancy limit of 4 guests.

What are the upgrades in the deluxe room from the regular RPC concierge rooms?
The only difference is floor space. The deluxes are slightly larger. I posted a link to my homepage a few posts ago, if you want to follow it, I have all the room layouts for the GF.

Lives4Disney, the deluxe views are of the courtyard garden. You can most likely see the MK from your balcony by looking off to the left. Even for the extra space, I wouldn't give up my request for a standard concierge with a direct MK view. Traci, I know I have some pictures from one of our trips. I'll have to try and find them and scan them in. Just picture looking out your sliding glass door and having the castle framed right in the middle. It was that incredible.

ohh Tammi you know from our conversations I would love to have that view! Did you actually watch the castle changing colors while you went to sleep?? ahhhhhhh

Thanks tammi, I think I got it straight now, I was confused thinking the deluxe rooms would hold more people, not less people.

I should stick with what I have. I requested a MK view, I know thats only a request :wizard:

I've been catching up on the posts and noticed a few questions on the SL and their concierge service. If anyone is interested, there's a link to my SL trip report in my siggy, which has lots of pictures that I took of the rooms and daily food offerings. :)

Triplefigs, I'm so glad to finally see a picture of your triplets! They're all so adorable!

Sounds like a lot of wonderful trips being planned. <sigh> Hopefully after this baby comes, I'll be able to think about planning a trip, too! :cool1:

Thanks, Steph! You're so close now for the baby. How fun. I love looking at your SL pictures. DH and I have been trying to remember what the name of the chicken skewers were. You had them on your site- Tandoori Chicken! Those were delicious.

Anybody know where there are pictures of the Deluxe concierge rooms in RPC? I looked at the ones that Janet2K has on her site. Are there any more to look at?

Thanks.

BTW, where has Janet been lately? Anyone hear from her?

Hi, confused momma! Yes there are room only codes that you can have applied to your reservation - or you can wait and book when the codes come out. Check the codes thread for updates and info. I am not sure when you are planning to go, so that may make a difference as to whether you have codes available for your use, but I think over the past year they have had codes for almost all dates. If you are going during a busier season, you have to stay on top of the code thing and use it right away as they only allow so many rooms to be discounted. No suites are discounted. I am an annual pass holder so we get the AP discount on our room reservation - another thing to think about.

Happy planning!!

Okay, that was awesome :goodvibes

Your page is so well done with the rollovers etc... great job :sunny:

I am craving a cheese platter now :teeth:

Hi all, I have read through MANY of the previous posts here, and still need some advice. I would like to surprise my groom to be with a honeymoon at GF concierge. We have both spoke of it for so long. What services are included at this level and is it worth the splurge? Which room/view should I request? Should I send a basket or flowers to the room for our arrival? And finally, are there discounts for this room type (we are DVC, AAA and annual passholders). Sorry for all the questions, my mind is mush from all of the wedding plans.

Are there any bad room views? From looking at the map there are no rooms that overlook a parking lot, are there? I Booked a standard / garden view (The least expensive view) Will I be disappointed? We wont be in the room much excepts morning. Just thought this is where I could save some money:)
Also are there non smoking buildings? Are there mixed smoking and non smoking?
Thanks I know you will have the answers

Concierge services include all your pre-planning needs. They'll assist you with ADR's, help you plan a romantic dinner for two, maybe some rose petals on the bed, you name it. When you arrive, it's private check-in, a beautiful, romantic lounge that offers some snacking foods throughout the day and wine, beer and cordials in the evening. The Disney Florist does a wonderful job with flower arrangements by the way. My DH sent me a dozen roses for a recent anniversary and the vase was etched with Minnie & Mickey. The concierge staff bubble wrapped the vase and packed it for me when we checked out.

As to the honeymoon suites, there are actually 2 styles. The first is the standard honeymoon suite. These are all located on the private 2nd floor ~ Clarendon level. All rooms have a king bed, little seating area, a jacuzzi tub and beautiful castle views from your balcony. The other style of honeymoon suite is the turret. There are 6 of these in total and they are located on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floor. If you've seen pictures of the GF, you can easily spot them because of the 8 palladium windows that bow out. These rooms are very big, but offer no balcony. We stayed in 4031, which had incredible views from the Wedding Chapel right around to the castle. There was a 4 poster king bed, full seating area with couch and chairs, eating table, wet bar, walk in closet, no jacuzzi, but a bathtub big enough for two. You can book a honeymoon suite and request which style you'd like with the pre-planning department. There's no guarantee on which of the two styles you'd get though.

Amhgbh, there are some views that might have you looking towards another building, but no chance of parking lot or anything less desirable. I think Big Pine Key has a smoking floor, hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong. If you'd like a non-smoking room, I would request the Sago Cay building and ask for the marina side. These rooms have water views, but are priced as a garden.
