We're going back to the GF in July and I was wondering whether anyone knew how far in advance you could reserve the cabanas and who did you reserve them through. We're not staying concierge so I can't do it through that department. Anyone remember? Thanks.

Cabanas??? What is this? Oh shoot..... more to learn. And that Ivy Trellis hair looks so cute for the big girls!! My dd is 9 and I think she would like that! Maybe bbb too though... oh decisions decisions........

Last year GF started letting you reserve (for a price) the cabanas by the beach pool, full and half day. We've done that many times at HRH and really liked it. I wanted to do it for our first day and last day. That way we don't feel "homeless" before or after check out. BTW dds went to BBB last year and loved it so much that I booked them again for the summer. Another thing that they loved, loved, loved was the my first facial at the GF spa. They did the facial, the kids manicure and pedicure and really made a day out of it. BTW - April GF July? We're still booked at GF for the second week of our summer trip unless AP rates come out for Poly only.

hello all gf fans.

i finally got to experience the gf this past december. it was a last minute trip and we got a last minute room (big pine, first floor, partial view of pool) and yet i still loved it. my son agrees. this is now his most favorite place in the world. the boardwalk, contemporary and the wilderness lodge all failed to leave the kind of impression the gf did. my 3.5 year old was impressed.:thumbsup2

that said it has totally changed my opinion on how i will plan my husband's first wdw trip. i was going to go for a split stay with the boardwalk. plus i really had my heart set on the royal palm club, but now i don't know. i actually liked being outside the main building. the walk in the morning was a plus in my book. and i've decided that i would prefer a magic kingdom view over the rpc. and now for my question for all you experts. my dream room would be a one bedroom suite w/ a magic kingdom view. does this exist? are all suites in the main building? i know you can pay for a magic kingdom view room, but does the same go for suites?

thanks for your help.

elaine88,

There are suites in all of the lodge buildings, but not all of them will have views of the MK. I know there is a suite facing the MK in the Conch Key Building (near the dock). I suggest you phone CRO and tell them what you are looking for. You should also ask if the suites in the lodges have concierge access.

There are suites in the Conch Key and Sago Cay with fabulous MK views.

hey everyone! I just started my TR on the weddings and honeymoons board. I will put the link on here when I get a chance, or you can head over there and check it out!

Twilight Refreshers are from 5:00 - 7:00 pm and Cordials and Desserts are from 8:00 - 10:00 pm.

The Cape Coral Suite is in an outerlying building, with a MK view.

We are just so wowed by the service that we got at BWI concierge level that we're thinking about doing that instead of GF. The GF is great, but the BWI staff just blew the RPC staff out of the water. Plus we like the seafood snacks like crab cakes better than that Middle Eastern stuff they've been serving at the GF. I don't eat meat, but if I did, it surely wouldn't be gray meat on a skewer. Brrrr...

Cheers! :)
