I am so excited, going to stay at cr for 1 night, i can scratch that off of my bucket list now :) i always stay at one of the values and could only get 5 nights there not the 6ths, so splurged since i will be turning 50 in the my favorite place on earth woo hoo!! anyway can someone tell me if there is an age or weight restriction for the pool slides. I know my son is probably too old, but would still like to do it, and me too LOL.
Thanks
There is no age restriction on using the slide and I have never heard of a weight restriction.

This is the first time I have heard that the Outer Rim is moving.

What a bummer.

Ok, from CR you can walk to MK.::cop: Can you walk to any other resort or park from CR?:smokin: TIA :listen:

For whatever reason the opening was changed to June 7th. As for the ADR's I remember reading for the 1st few weeks they would only be taking guests as walk-ins only, with the ADR's beginning on June 30th. So maybe that's what happening unless I am wrong.

I have an ADR for The Wave on the 16th. ::yes::

You can mono over to gf, poly, ttc. You can walk or mono over to MK and then get buses to non-mono resorts

Thank you! You mentioned where the current grab and go is. Do you mean on the first floor near the check in desk? Or do you mean where the new Contemp snack area near the existing outer rim / chef Mickey’s restaurant?

Thanks,

mj

mj: It's on the 4th floor, next to the existing Outer Rim and across from where the old Concourse Steakhouse was.

Kind of makes you wonder why they would move it just a few feet away? The only reason I can think of is they want to turn that area into a bigger waiting area for guests at Chef Mickey's when they wait to be seated. Plus with the Tempo Grab & Go no longer being there once Chef Mickey's Express opens they will have that huge space and want to fill it with something, so moving the Outer Rim would make the most sesne.

Besides that I would say if you have the chance to make a reservation for either floor you should do it now, because these floors can sell out very fast even if your calling many months away for a reservation.

Last night I booked a standard Atrium Club level for 4 nights in Aug 2009..Hope the prices in 2009 are not more than 10% higher ;)

I don't have atrium prices but last year the garden wing prices increased but it was less than 10 percent (less than a 5 percent increase for the comparable periods). With the economy what it is right now, who knows what the prices will be over a year from now. Disney's costs will undoubtedly rise and while demand overall might be lessened, WDW will also know that these rooms, as CR4L said, "can sell out very fast." So, WDW will increase the prices for the most desirable rooms more than it will for the cheaper rooms figuring the higher priced ones are in the greatest demand.

Still, it is a WDW vacation so it is, after all, priceless.

hey all! i don't know if you guys have heard, but disney and google earth have made a program where you can view all of wdw in 3-d. It is amazing! They have all the parks and the hotels. You just go here and follow the steps: disneyworld.com/3dparks

here is the virtual CR

Hello! Does anyone have experience w/ room service? I am thinking we will enjoy some room service during our July visit. I am especially interested in any info on the white chocolate monorail or any Disney characters. Do you need to preorder them?

We're at the CR right now enjoying our upgraded MK view room. There is nothing like drifting off to sleep watching the castle change colors or having that morning coffee on the balcony. :goodvibes

there is a lot of construction between the tower next door, extensive new landscaping out front and the former Concorse Steakhouse. None of it feels disruptive, though.

Does anyone have any questions?

Where were you upgraded from? What time does the construction start? We like to sleep in a little.
