Hey everyone! Sorry, I'm still new to the DIS and I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but am hoping to get your expert advice...

DiFi and I are planning on Disneymooning in July 2009. We're doing a split stay and currently have reservations for 3 nights at CR Garden Wing - Standard (first 3 nights will be @ SoG). We were thinking about trying to do the Wishes Cruise one night. My question is this: if you had to choose, would you stay 3 nights MK view or 3 nights Garden Wing + Wishes cruise? :confused3 I priced it out and there's not too much price difference between the two options.

We're traveling far and probably won't be back to the World for at least 7 years so I want to make the most of this trip.

I appreciate any advice! Thanks! :goodvibes

I would pick the 3 nights with the Magic Kingdom view because it's the best possible view you can get in all of WDW and since you would be on your honeymoon, why not make it special with the Magic Kingdom view.

I have to agree. If it were me, I would go with MK view over a wishes cruise /standard room. There are so many romantic things to do in WDW already. I'm not dissing wishes cruises but (and I enjoy the garden wing) a standard view room (even on your honeymoon) in July could be a view of the parking lot. If there is a chance might upset you, then go for the MK view. Just make sure the resort knows you are on your honeymoon.

I agree too! Stick w/ the MK view. Just think, watch the fw from your bed....see the castle slowing changes colors as you relax in your room! Ohh how sweet it is!

I've done the Illuminations Cruise and it is amazing to be in the boat so close to the FW....but I would trade for a tower MK view for 3 nights in a heart beat!!!!

Best wishes!

CR Resort Fan, jcb & ms. ojo, Thanks for your advice! :worship: You confirmed what I was thinking. Called today & switched my ressies to the MK view. Woohoo!! :yay:

Another question - when do the 2009 rates come out? Around August, right? The CM I spoke with told me the 2009 rates wouldn't be confirmed until December/January. Any ideas?

You're welcome and have a great time staying there. :thumbsup2

I don't remember when but I think someone mentioned the 2009 rates might come out around June or July. So hopefully someone else can confirm when the exact month is.

does anyone know or what to take a guess at an estimated completion date for Kingdom Towers?

we ate at Cali Grille last week and it was fab! I have to the tower is coming along, great pics Mass.

When we went back to the CR last night, they had the entire area between the guard tower and entrance to the CR completely blocked off and tons of bulldozers. It was a pretty big area. I couldn't find anyone who knew what was going on. It would be from the side entrance (where the busses load) towards the front (MK) almost to the edge of the parking lot.

Denise thanks for that update. :thumbsup2
