YAY! for the refillable mugs! That makes all of us very happy:cool1: . Thank you for finding out the scoop.

I have a question - do the rooms have ceiling fans? DH thinks;) he needs a fan to sleep.

TIA!

WOOHOO! Going to add your new pics to the updated info on the 1st page, Denise. Thanks again!

I do not remember a ceiling fan in our Tower Room. We bring a white noise machine for background noise (we always sleep with a ceiling fan on at home).

Just making ADRs for May and the CSR told me the Concourse Steakhouse will be open till 5/31 now. Reservations were easy to get. I'm guessing b/c they were supposed to closed by then, they weren't any reservations on the books already....just wanted to report that. :thumbsup2

I guess this means the Concourse Steakhouse will be closing June 1st.

I have updated the 1st page with the new info on the CSH.

What happening across the room where you check in at the main lobby. Also, the old area where you used to get breakfast, what going on there?

Does anyone have any new photo's?

Thanks,

MJ

The only thing I can think of for the lobby is that they might be rebuilding the Contemporary Grounds as a full service coffee house. The area where the Food & Fun Center use to be is being turned into the Wave, which is going to be the restaurant that replaces the Concourse Steakhouse.

They hadn't yet started the coffee house as of a few days ago. The project has stalled a lot, I was told it has to do with Joffreys.

Also was told that there was a meeting about maybe putting Chef Mickeys on 1st floor. Didn't sound like most were interested in doing that, but no way to know what Disney will do.

That I don't ever see happening. Since they are putting the Wave in the old Food & Fun Center location, where would they have room for Chef Mickey's?

Chef Mickeys is fun to see from the monorail too!:wizard:

We are staying at CR for the first time in Sept with a theme park view room. Should I put in a room request for a higher floor? Is there any need to do that?

Thanks!

I would and ask for the end closest to the MK.

Not sure what time the rental station opens, probably around 9:00. We rented the mice boats in Nov while we stayed at GF. The prices were around the area of $26 for 1/2 hour and about $40 for an hour. There were plenty of boats available and have to be 12 and older to drive. We love them.:)
