After being on hold for over 90 minutes this morning with my cell phone battery on the last line I was given an AP discount on my reservation. At first she said she could not add it to my reservations because I had a special needs request and she would have to talk to them. After being on hold and my batter draining even more she came back and told me that they could not do it now but I would be put on a waiting list. I asked if they were offering AP discounts at CSR and she said yes. I said I would take a chance and would like to book that now because I really wanted the discount. She said she had to call back to the "Special Needs" department to get them to cancel my reservation in order to give me the discount. After more nail biting as my cell phone battery got lower and lower she came back on the line and said that they were able to apply the discount to my reservation. YAHOO! My netsavings this morning on our 9 nights is $288.72 after figuring in the cost of an AP vs a 10 day MYW no hop no expiration.

The next milestone in the saga will be the general public discount codes. I will have to crunch the numbers at that time to see what will work out better. I really did want the 10 day no hopper no expiration. I already have a day left on an old pass so we would only use 4 days and would have 6 days left over for something in the future. I know I can go back to WDW through June of 2006 but that was not in my plans.

Pretty happy about todays outcome.

does anyone know....

there is a lake at CSR right? do they offer water activities? such as boat rental etc??

Check out Buzz's great unofficial website (see previous page). Small motor boats and pedalloes available, plus I've seen pics of canoes.

Can't wait til Sunday - first trip to the world!

Buzz,

I probably will be purchasing the Disney Dining Experience card for our June trip. We are staying at CSR for the first time and are very excited. I have calculated breakfast costing around the same amount at Maya Grill and Peppers Market once I take the 20% discount at Maya Grill. My question, will it be faster to eat at Maya Grill or Peppers Market in the morning? If we are able to enter both at 7:00 am which one do you think I will be able to get out of first? I know I’m asking a lot but I am trying to figure out if we can be at the bus stop around 7:55 in order to get to the parks early. Maybe I will have to bring Pop Tarts instead or we will have to grab something inside the parks on the run. I am trying to start the day out with a good meal. Any insight that you can provide would be appreciated.

Also, in passing I had mentioned to the CM when I made my reservation that my husband had a permanent disability and had mobility issues. She suggested that we request a special needs room. Would you know if those are located in all parts of the parks. My husband is not in a chair but does find it difficult to walk and stand for long periods of time. This ought to be fun, I wish he would allow himself the use of a chair, I think it would make for a much better trip for ALL of us if you get my drift.

Can anyone tell me what buildings are closest to the quiet pools, and as a plus, if they are close to anything else like the digsite or el centro?

The quiet pools are located by Casita 4, Rancho 7b and Cabana 9a. 7b is not to far from the Dig Site or bus stop #4. 9a is a short walk to the Dig Site and the main building and in between bus stop #4 and #1. casita 4 is close to bus stop #2 and not to far from the Dig Site.

Hi Buzz :sad2: . Just had to write. I have been planning a trip for a group of 11, 6 adults, 5 nephews. We had ressies as CSR. DH and I visited the resort last year, went to the quiet pool (ya, I know no pool hopping and we did not go to the big one), and wandered the resort. Loved it. Well, our ressies got messed up. We will not be at CSR, we ended up being upgraded to AKL, so can't complain, got it for less that CSR. The rest of the group is thrilled, we are excited too, but still disappointed about losing the CSR. Well, that gives me a reason to plan a trip for next year!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your site is great. Looking forward to my future trip to CSR. :wave2:

okay, I'm sold!!!!! I have now decided on CSR vice POR just because of this. These are awesome pictures and lots of good info on what to expect, etc. Thanks so much to everyone!

are refrigerators now standard in all rooms at CSR? I'd love to stay in the Cabanas from what I've read, but am wondering it it's noisy from the Dig Site...at least at night I like it quiet..... so I can get my beauty sleep!

We stayed in 9b and heard nothing from the Dig Site. Being Feb it was pretty quiet though :goodvibes
There was a fridge in the room - as I understand it they are in all rooms now.
