My fiance and I will be at CSR for our honeymoon(04/30-05/06). I noticed that Fracisco's will be closed during that time. Is there any other nite spots for cocktails at CSR or will we have to vist PI.

The new Laguna bar is due to be open by then. Otherwise you will have to hit PI.

I will be traveling with 2 disabled ECV users. I am asking for connecting rooms, as we will have 7 in our party. Connecting rooms will make my life much easier as will being on a ground floor. Do you think it's better to put this in my room request whenever I make my reservation, or to ask for the Accessible reservationist when I call to make my reservations. Not sure if one has any pull over another. I understand these are requests and not guarantees, but I do want to cover all my bases. AND, I will be calling during the hustle and bustle of the FDP tomorrow morning, and I don't want to miss out on CSR!!! Suggestions? Thanks.:thumbsup2
I don't have any experience with this but I would think that the accessible reservationist would be your best bet.

Buzz (or anyone else too!!)- in all your wisdom of CSR, of the 124 rooms that have king beds, how many are waterview? how many are non-smoking waterview? I ask because I could not book a king bed this week for my Sept trip.

Instead I booked a waterview (same price as king bed room) in hopes that either when I get there I can ask for a king bed & since I've already paid that price if they have one they'll give me one OR wondering what are the chances that we'll get a king bed in our booked waterview room?

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a king bed to become available online for my dates & will jump on it, but in the meantime, I was just wondering. For what it's worth, I don't really care about the view, just the king bed.

Thanks!
Jen

hi everyone!
we were orginally booked for CBR but when my DS7 saw CSR's pool it reminded him of the indiana jones movie temple of doom which is his all time favorite movie. of course he begged to stay at CSR for the pool/playground.(we switched after hearing CBR was tiny).hopefully we will be able to tear him away from the pool for some park time too!

He will love it! The slide is great!

Of the 124 rooms that have king beds, how many are waterview? That's a question I can't answer.

How many are non-smoking waterview? Only building 9a is smoking optional so I would guess a majority of the king rooms are non-smoking.

IMO it is not worth it since you do not have a balcony.

I would call versus checking on-line. They maybe able to tell you more. Then I would follow allearsnet regarding faxing a request.

Thanks Buzz!! I'll have my TA keep checking w/Disney!! I agree, the waterview is not "worth" it but my logic is that I paid the same price as a king bed, maybe one will be available to me when I check in!! :0)

pixiedust: good luck! I hope you get one.

Does anyone know how to find out if there is a convention scheduled the week I would like to book CSR? We are trying for the last week of August with free dining. I can't imagine this would be a good time for a conference, but you never know.

I am unsure where to find the info but I would be shocked if you found availability..I have been trying to get a package there for that week for almost 2 months now. It has been booked SOLID for my dates (specifically 8/26-9/2 but I got it for 8/24-8/26)... So bummed I have to move resorts after being there 2 days!

for those of you who want to book CSR but have had trouble, we were scheduled to stay at CBR from 12/9 - 12/14 but wanted to stay at CSR. at the time we booked, i was told CSR was not available. i called back today to see if we could switch to a moderate other then CBR and was told CSR was available for our dates at the AAA rate we were booked for at CBR!!! My suggestion is to call every day to see if there is availability - you may get just as lucky as we did and find an opening!!! :cool1: :woohoo:

Keep in mind that the CSR is sometimes used as an overflow hotel for other conferences. I attended an event at Gaylord Palms in March, CSR and AKL were overflow hotels with shuttle bus service to/from GP.

They also release rooms back to the general public once the "book by" date passes. It helps to keep trying.

Can you get a Beer or Wine delivery, or is there a Hess in walking distance to CSR?

You can purchase it right at CSR. In the stores and from the room service menu.
