Thanks Buzz, I was not sure if this was going to be open we are staying 4/27 to 5/5.
La Tienda is moving to a new spot but not sure if they will be closing it prior to the move or not. Panchitos will be open though and sells the same items.

Buzz....you mention that the Hess is just a short walk from CSR. Do you or anyone else know what their prices are like for beer etc., in comparison to just purchasing at CSR ?

I don't think it was me that mentioned the Hess station. CSR sells beer and wine at teh resort.

We just booked our trip yesterday for CSR, for August 17 to August 25. We were fortunate to get the AAA rate for a waterview room, no standard rooms available with the AAA rate. We are a party of 5 with two rooms.

I requested to be in the Cabana section, non smoking room with a preference for building 8A. I have two boys who are excited about the Dig Site. I am really looking forward to staying at CSR.

Thank you Buzz for this thread and your web site. I have gained so much knowledge from reading both. The pictures that you and others have provided made this an easy sell to my DH and my mom. Thank you again.

I am unsure where to find the info but I would be shocked if you found availability..I have been trying to get a package there for that week for almost 2 months now. It has been booked SOLID for my dates (specifically 8/26-9/2 but I got it for 8/24-8/26)... So bummed I have to move resorts after being there 2 days!

Strange I got CSR for 8/26 to 9/4 with free DDP when I called on the first day it was offered to Visa Card holders.

My family will be visiting CSR for the first time 9/15-9/22. We have a 1 year old and will need a crib/pack-n-play. Do we have to request this prior to arriving, or are they located in the closet, like AKL. Also, is there a fee to rent one? We stayed at ASSp last year and were not charged anything for the use of a pack-n-play. Thanks for your help.

I believe there is a fee for a crib of $15.00 but I'm not 100% sure.

I am excited to say that I have made my king room, free dining reservation official yesterday! I am looking forward to staying at CSR for the very first time! Couple questions though, I would appreciate it so much...

  • Do all king rooms have roll-in showers?

  • Is it possible to order a birthday cake through this resort?

  • Your opinions on CSR in-room dining, please...

Thank you, and I can't wait for September!

I was never charged for the Pack-n-Play, however, if you request a crib there is a charge and very limited availability.

All rooms with roll in showers are kings but I don't know if all Kings have roll in showers.:confused3

Yes you can order a birthday cake but it must be done at least 24 hours in advance.

Room service is actually very good.

Do all king rooms have roll-in showers? no
Is it possible to order a birthday cake through this resort? yes, CSR has their own bakery
Your opinions on CSR in-room dining, please. expensive but good
