Buzz,

I was wondering if there is a website that lists all the different conferences and conventions going on at CSR...would love to know who will be there when we are (Sept 22-28, 2007 and possibly again in December 2008).

Thanks for your awesome website and this FAQ! It's really great and informative - plus my DS4 loves the pics of the pool!

Thanks!
There is not one site but here is a link to all the ones I find or others told me about.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the canopy boat rentals at CSR. I had planned on signing us up for the fishing excursion but found out the ones at CSR are two people only so the girls aren't wild about that -- they wanted to do something with Daddy.

If I rent the canopy boat for two hours can DH fish while I relax and the girls hang out with him? Or is fishing without a guide strictly forbidden? Just curious. Looking at things to do...

Paula, I did the same thing! But in a different cabana (waterview, connecting, specific cabana).

:rotfl:

Now all I have to do is find flights for 2 adults and 3 teenagers, do you think we could put the teenagers in the cargo hold if we promised to put them in crates?

Better yet, throw them in a golf bag carrier- wont be able to tell the difference-

p.s. Padding may be needed!;) :lmao:

If I had to guess....(and it's totally a guess) I'd say that the lake at CSR is too small for fishing. I would guess that the bass fishing excursions are on a different lake...maybe Bay Lake by CR and Ft Wilderness. I never saw anyone fishing on the lake at CSR. It looked to me like you had to motor around in a counter-clockwise manner. This is purely from observation. We did not rent a boat or ask anyone about it.

Oh no, the fishing happens on the CSR lake. It is stock with bass. I've just never personally done it. but I have watched others. I just don't know if you can rent that 6 passenger boat or if it comes with a CM driver. But the bass fishing happens on Lago Dorado.

We rented the Boston Whaler last year and my DH drove it (no CM driver). We didn't fish, though, so I can't answer any questions about that.

Just came back yesterday from our 16th trip to CSR, and yes, we did fish. Brought our own poles and fished from the grassy bank. Caught and released numerous Bass! Had two members of the CSR staff stop by while we were fishing and asked if we caught anything. They just wanted to make sure we were returning the fish to the lake....:)

This may sound like a weird question, but if you have a room by the ice-machines can you hear people using them?:confused3
The ice and soda machines are by the elevators and the way the buildings are set up, no doors face the hallway where the elevators are located. I've never heard them.

Subscribing . . .

. . . just found out hubby has a conference for April 2008 at CSR. I'm so excited to stay here for the first time - and someone else is paying the bill :cool1:

Thanks for all the great info and pictures on this thread and on the website.

Is there any extra charge for fishing if you bring your own equipment and don't rent a boat?
I've seen people fishing from the bank but I'm not sure where they got the pool. Can't hurt to try. Just watch out for the small gator.

I cannot wait to be at Coronado springs.. only 13 more days. I love this thread. It gets me all excited. Thanks for Buzz for all your hard work on it!

They have a fishing guide tour thing through BASS at CSR. The problem is that unlike the other resorts, they use a Nitro and it only seats two people --one guide and the person fishing; I think it was $235 the two morning trips and $200 for an afternoon one. That wouldn't have been an issue if it were a bigger boat like the other resorts have; but it would ust be him allowed. We really wanted something where the four of us could go out but only DH actually fishes.

Well maybe I should just rent a boat for an hour to play and we can just hang out on the bank with DH while he fishes. I didn't realize you could fish on the bank, thought it had to be at the little dock or in a boat. Thanks:goodvibes
