Thinking of switching from BWI to Coronado since more family is now planning on joining us, to make it more affordable. Wondering if 6 in a room 3 adults, 3 kids is possible?

Unless you book a suite at CSR (not even sure if they sleep six, but a regular room does not), the maximum occupancy is 4 plus an infant under the age of three in a crib. The All Star family suites sleep six for about the same cost as a moderate room, and the Ft. Wilderness cabins sleep six. You could also go with two rooms in any of the resorts and request connecting rooms.

If one of your group is under three, some of the Deluxe resorts can sleep five plus an infant. I think you can also have five plus an infant in the AB section of POR.

I'm sure we will just go with two rooms.

:confused3 I can not get Buzz's website to open up for me, can anyone help?

Just booked CSR from 12/16-12/21. Now...must figure out which building to stay in....thanks Buzz for the info from the other day!

Buzz, was this a rollaway bed that you rented? If so, do you have to call to make reservations since the online reservation will not allow you to have 5 in a room? Thanks for the info.
You can only have five in a room at CSR if the 5th is an infant. I had the roll-a-way but there was only 3 of us. I asked for it upon arrival and it cost $16.71 per night.

Here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. (Most convenient location and most preferred)

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool (and is the old smoking optional building).

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. Close to bus stop #2.

Okay, I probably missed this somewhere (I don't want too much info, I want to be surprised when I get there! :lmao:) but....

in "standard" rooms, are there BOTH a fridge and a coffee maker?

Also, does a king bed standard room cost more, or could I request that?

Should I ask for a non-smoking room, or is there a pretty good chance I will get one? (def don't want a room that smells like stale smoke)

Oh..one more...can you use the sea racer part of the package at the marina?

thanks!

yes

if you want a king bed you should book it and it cost more- not sure of what it is now with price changes. I think we paid $10 per night more.

I think WDW resorts are non smoking now. I would request it because I wouldnt want to be in one of the old smoking rooms myself

I dont thingk the sea racer is part of the package - I believe it is an additional charge.

Are the quiet pools meant only for adults? I will have a 1 and 5yr old with me when we stay there.

The quiet pools are not meant only for adults. We took many kids in the quiet pool. The depth is anywhere from 3ft - 5ft. (no kiddie pool there)
Here is a picture of the quiet pool by Casitas 3 and 4

There are NO TOWELS provided at the quiet pools. You have to take the towels from your room. Just call housekeeping to get more towels. They are very good about bringing extras..as many as you want! :thumbsup2

The quiet pool closed at 10pm while we were there (5-12 Aug)...but the Dig Site pool was open til midnight or all night depending on who you talked to. ;) Posted times were just the opposite...said that quiet pools were open til midnight and Dig Site pool closed at 10pm...Oh well, we got to swim and use the hot tub, late into the night.

Is that something new with no towels at the quiet pool? They had them there last year when we stayed at CSR.

As far as I was aware, it always been the policy at CSR that there are towels by the main pool and you have to bring your room towels to the quiet pools.

Unless they changed the sign, the main pool is open from 8am until midnight.

Yes, both a frig and a coffee maker.

Kings cost more. You can request....

There are no smoking rooms at Disney World, anymore.

Just about a week away!!!!

This thread has been so very helpful - can someone repost or direct me to how to override the air conditioner again?

Anything else I need to know before check-in, during check-in?

Cabana 9a is the only building that was a smoking optional building at CSR. As long as you don't get one of those rooms your should be safe.
