Getting married at disney and staying as the CSR. I want to request a room which is close to where the limo will pick me up from- so that i dont have to walk for miles in my dress!! Any ideas by the way this thread has been so useful and the web site really makes me think we made the right choice cant wait.
Cabana 9b or casita 1 are the closest buildings to the front lobby. But the road and parking lots go around CSR so even if you were in the back of the resort, the someone could meet the limo in the front and use their key card to get him to drive around back to get close to any of the buildings.

Good luck and have a great time!!!

First time staying in anything but a Deluxe and FW Cabins. Snobby sentence, but we really are excited about CSR. Nice feedback about the pool and food. My main concern is transportation to MK. Have had some horrible experiences (read 45 min to hour) to get from AKL to MK so will I have the same problem here? I don't mind driving if need be, but wanted some feedback first.

Like recommendation of cheapo place to eat breakfast (toast, cereal, oj) and nicer place for dinner (maybe tacos for kids?). I've got the Disney Dining card so would like to use this.

**Also, paying $125/nt with Florida Resident Discount. I thought 8/17-8/20 was value, but was told Value doesn't begin till 8/24-10/4. So is this a respectable rate for CSR? Much better than GF at $300+/nt! ::yes::

Hi there! Does anyone have any idea how much a taxi to CR from CSR would cost? We have CM & Concourse reservations and I would like to cab it. Also if anyone has the cost of a 6 pack of beer at La Tienda that would be greatly appreciated as well.
Lovin this thread! :woohoo:

The Maya Grill breakfast buffet is the best around for the price of $13.95. The Pepper Market has great options for lunch and dinner.

CSR has the best transportation around. Its a short 5 min ride to all parks except MK which is about 9 mins. And because it is a convention resort, the buses are usually less crowded.

It cost me 5.50 plus tip from the Yacht Club via a cab, maybe closer to $10-12 from CR. The beer wasn't that expensive, I think bottled water was more.

I'm sure the roadways will be well marked, but...when driving to the parks do you turn left or right when leaving CSR?

Ok, I'm a compulsive planner. I admit it! :rotfl:

You turn right to go to Blizzard Beach and Animal Kingdom and left for everything else.

ps - I recommend using the buses for everything except DtD late night and ADR's at other resorts.

While speaking of transportation, I was thinking of an ADR at Boma after a day at AK. How hard will it be to get back to the CSR w/o a car? We have 3 kids 7, 5, & 2. I am assuming from your last reply that I should just skip it but I am hoping there is something I am missing and we can make it a reality.

My DH and I were staying @ CBR last year and we had breakfast @ Boma. We took the bus to AK then got on the AKL bus from there. The buses for AKL are at the front of the resort so you don't have to waist much time walking to and from.

Smoking at Csr ....
what area?
There are ashtrays all over but the only building that is smoking optional is cabana 9a.

Even non-smoking buildings have ashtrays by the elevators.

You can smoke at the pool and there are areas at the main building. There are also ashtrays at points along the path around the lake.

Taking a bus from AKL to AK then to CSR will work and really isn't too much of a hassle but remember that AK closes early (around 6 or 7) and the busses run for about an hour after closing. If your dinner runs after that time frame you will have to take a bus to another park and then to CSR which adds a lot of time to the mix. My suggestion is to take a cab. Not expensive and much less time consuming. And will allow you to enjoy your meal and the many things to see at AKL.

We are staying at CSR in August and are on the (free :cool1: ) dining plan. We do plan to eat at least 2 lunches at the Pepper Market. We are also planning on getting the refillable mugs. My question is...if someones seats you and gets your drinks, etc. will they be taking my mug to fill it. I think I do that myself, right? Just needed to know....you know when it gets this close and the rest of the planning is done, this is the kind of  stuff you start to obsess about! :rotfl2: . Can't wait! Thanks!

The CM's fill your mugs but you can do it yourself if you prefer. They leave the tops on the table while they fill them.

Thanks for all the replys. Does anyone know if the cab will move kids w/o car seats? I know it is not far but I would never do this at home and not sure if a cab will even take the kids. :confused3

I'llbe staying at CSR for 2 nights before switching to the AKL..I can't wat to try their food
