The New Chat Thread!

Mm, I see what you're saying but we always say 'hi' and give a nice welcome (and the necessary warnings! lol!!!)

It's a funny time of say for them too, not busy chatting hour like in the UK. I'm sure they're nice. Just would have been nice to have one 'hi' or something.

Woe is me!! ;)

Indeed we do, but you have to post to get that welcome. I reckon some people would be scared off by 300+ pages (cumulative across both threads) put together by about 10 / 15 or so posters, where about 6 of those probably contributed 250 or so of those pages. I know I would :rotfl:

That's not to say we should stop these threads - they're lots of fun. They do, however, have a negative vibe IMO to completely new people, although there are loads of other threads on this board which don't give that vibe so the board is new person friendly overall.

Anyhoo. Its finally my bed time! Yaaaaay!!

Nighty night!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Yes - see what you're saying - if I hadnt come in at the beginning it might have been off putting but as long as we make sure everone knows they're welcome - there have been a few different people posting on here/other OT thread in last few days.
Its also making sure we post on other threads as well and dont just stick to these chatty ones

3k :scared1:
I think mine was about £20 in the good old days :rotfl:

I'm sure I read somewhere that the rule of thumb is roughly 2x your monthly salary.

Personally I don't like that idea - I think the rule of thumb would be "As much or little as the perfect ring costs".

You see its not up to me. I have to point out ones I like while he keeps a non reacty face.

He wont get one though until he can get the best one he wants.....I wouldn't be allowed to choose it. Apparently he has grand engagement plans.

3k isnt too bad for a ring, my mum has a pink diamond one that I love soooo much that she hardly ever wears...jsut wish she'd let me inherit it now!!! lol.

I wanted Robert to choose it, but he insisted I picked it because of the fact I have to wear it forever...........

3k is very bad for a ring!!!!! Mine was a fraction of that and I think its more beautiful than a lot of the more expensive ones....!

We were at Uni so had no money.

To be honest I very rarely wear my engagement ring now and havent for yrs.

My wedding ring didnt cost much more either but I had to get a new one a few yrs ago as I lost it - I was devastated.
I wasnt that bothered about getting another but Mr Small World insisted he wanted to get me one

Well I think thats about all I can manage tonight.
Im going to bed very soon

Just thought I would say hello. I would join in with your chat more regularly but it is usually quite late at night before I get on the computer & everyone has retired for the night already! I don't get a chance during the day because I am too busy with the kids, housework & cooking.

I'm glad you all enjoyed your tigger party. Be sure to check out my tigger photos I posted on the 'tigger' thread. Pity I wasn't about earlier to join in.

Night Mr Stitch - thanks. You sleep well too

I think everyone else has disappeared - have they gone in search of the tag fairy or onto the wedding board

Im just making a drink so will be about for the next few minutes otherwise I'll be back later on tomorrow
