Mm, I see what you're saying but we always say 'hi' and give a nice welcome (and the necessary warnings! lol!!!)
It's a funny time of say for them too, not busy chatting hour like in the UK. I'm sure they're nice. Just would have been nice to have one 'hi' or something.

Indeed we do, but you have to post to get that welcome. I reckon some people would be scared off by 300+ pages (cumulative across both threads) put together by about 10 / 15 or so posters, where about 6 of those probably contributed 250 or so of those pages. I know I would

That's not to say we should stop these threads - they're lots of fun. They do, however, have a negative vibe IMO to completely new people, although there are loads of other threads on this board which don't give that vibe so the board is new person friendly overall.
