Ok so Barbados 11 and 12 are done. Any idea if other buildings are completed? (In the barbados village) ... Looking good for the end of November.

They were working on buildings 13 and 15 the whole time we were there, just left last night

I can't believe that we have only one week to go! We leave early next Saturday morning after Trick or Treating on Friday night, so I'm getting the packing started today. I'll be sure to do my CBR duty and report back on the changes. Although I may not risk "Disney jail" like Mickeystoontown was willing to do for us all last spring! I'm finalizing my planning. We have TH breakfast at 9:30 next Sunday morning. We'll be taking the rental car to AK because we have dinner at AKL that night. Does anyone on the thread know how long it takes to drive to AK from CBR? We also have CM and Ohana on our two resort/rest days later in the week. Has anyone made the drive to either one of those from CBR? How much time should I leave? WE ARE SO EXCITED IN THIS HOUSE RIGHT NOW!!!

It took us about 10 - 15 minutes to get to Animal Kingdom as well as Magic Kingdom. Have a fabulous trip!

I know it has been asked but I am not sure if there have been any changes-are the washers and dryers still operating on quarters? We leave in 12 days and I am trying to go through the change bucket to get what we need for pressed pennies and laundry.

I am a couple days from online check in. Should i request a specific building or just a village? I am going right after Christmas day and know they will be busy and am worried if I request a specific building I may not even get the village I want. Could I expect a complimentary upgrade to a king room because it is our 25th anniversary or will they be too busy to even hope?

The children's splash/play area looks really cool. Is there a max height? My 6 year old nephew has autism and is still drawn to younger children's play areas. He is 48" tall though. Would he be able to play on this?

I suppose there is always a chance (being around Christmas there might be more families increasing the chance for one), but anniversaries do not guaranty anything. My parents went to CBR for their 25th anniversary trip and were not upgraded (their bed at home is a queen, so NABD). Another case of "book the category you will be happy in because there are no guaranteed upgrades".

The laundries are still change based. $2 for wash, $2 for dryer, and $1 for detergent or fabric softener. There are change machines that take $1, $5, and $10 bills.

The max height is 48", and they will measure anyone they think is close.

On our last trip my daughter was under 48" and my son was taller than 48" and they let both of them play there with no problems, but it was a very quiet time when we were there. Sometimes my kids were the only ones in that area and at the most there were under 10 kids at one time. It most likely will depend on how busy it is and the life guard on duty.
