Thank you for the links to view views from water view rooms, they are awesome. I really appreciate it and look forward even more to our trip. Cant come soon enough.

Okay...I'm there 19-27...that is a bummer! I wish I had paid closer attention.
The information just came out a few days ago. Seems it was a fairly last-minute addition to the refurbishment schedule.

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I can't seem to find it. Do they provide towels at the main pool? Thanks! Oh, and we just made our last payment on our Disney trip. Woo-hoo! October can't get here fast enough. :)

Yes, towels are provided at the main pool, but not at the quiet pools. Information about the pools is in post is #4. :thumbsup2

All checked in and my room was ready when I arrived. I had requested some specific room numbers, my top four choices being water view kings in Jamaica building 42. And I got one!

Corner room, first floor, beautiful lake view, and obviously refurbed. I took pictures but the WiFi is not cooperating right now for me to upload them! I'll try again in a bit.

These pictures are absolutely beautiful!!! And also awesome view too!! What room # are you in. I might just have to request this one- the view is amazing. Thanks so much for doing this for us!!

i'm very upset about the pool closure. very. very. very. we are traveling with a toddler and this was our main reason for choosing this resort. i called disney and they 'can't do anything' because i went through AAA. so i'm waiting for a call back from my agent. i hope we can move to a different resort and still get free dining. long shot . . . .

Actually, Martinique won't be started until December probably. Aruba is August and September, then Barbados would be October and November.

Bummer. I was hoping at least one of the preferred buildings in Martinique would be done by the middle of December.

During the off season for swimming, the pool hours are 10a-10p. However, during peak swimming season they are 9a-11p.

Both. There is a fence surrounding the main feature pool and once the lifeguards leave the slides are closed and the fence is locked.

Yes.

Correct.

Correct. And once those items are received, you can call Bell Services and have them deliver your items to your room.

Make sure you check out the 1st page of this thread as the answers to your questions are all there. Plus you'll probably get the answers to more questions. :thumbsup2

Thank you! I had tried going through all that amazing information but must have missed these things. You really have done a terrific job putting all this together and maintaining it. Thanks for all you do!

We are considering CBR for our trip next year. Just wondering are you able to request or choose a village or is it just luck of the draw. We have to small children so I don't want to be furthest away form The food court and pool.

TIA
Jessica

I want to be sure not to be far away from the food court and pool as well. It's important to me so I booked a preferred room. When given the opportunity, I always pay to get what is important to me. I generally avoid staying at resorts where I can't pay to be assured a room that meets my needs. I don't like leaving these things to luck.

Heard back from travel agent. Disney is not willing to do anything to 'compensate' us for the loss of the splash pool area. i'm so disappointed. we have a 20 month old and i was so looking forward to spending time with her in the splash area while our son enjoyed the big pool. common' disney - not even a 'we're sorry, here's a $50 credit'. i'm not expecting an upgrade to GF, but some gesture would be nice.

So sad the kids' pool area will be closed. DD was looking forward to it. Is there a height requirement for the big slides in the main pool?

Disney typically doesn't compensate for closed amenities. If the whole pool area is closed they will offer a resort guests can hop to in order to use that pool, and now they have made the rare gesture of giving guests of the Poly water park passes. But again, the whole pool area will be closed, not just part of it.

Disney will tell you no feature is guaranteed to be available. I can kind of see their point. They never have days off where they can work on maintenance. They would literally be paying guests some compensation every day of the year. It stinks when that maintenance happens on your trip (it has happened to me!) but I can see where they are coming from by not offering discounts.
