We are staying Dec 12-19, 2014 and I'm worried about reno during that time. This is our first time at CBR, we normally stay at POR. :-)

I wouldn't be too worried. They should have the majority of the rooms done by then so your odds of getting a new room should be pretty good. :thumbsup2

Please add us! We are staying 9/27 - 10/09! So excited! This is our first stay at CBR. I've stayed at POR a few times and Pop so it will be fun to explore a new resort! Especially with free dining!

Roll Call......Sept 19-28!

Just added a hammock in the backyard this weekend.....need to start practicing getting in & out of these things for September. And might I add, all the while with a drink in the hand!! Lol

What would be the best way to visit AoA while we're there? Looks like it neighbors CBR to the south - should we just cab it?

Probably so, it's a healthy walk. Or you could catch an AoA bus from any Disney Park or Downtown Disney, then cab it home to CBR. AoA is fun!!! I personally think they have the best QS dining in their food court.

I would not be worried about the refurb disturbing your stay. I had a friend who was there a week before me and then we stayed two weeks. Neither of us were affected by the work that was going on. The only time I was construction workers was when I went to that building trying to see what was going on and when we walked past the area where they had their equipment set up. (and the work area was behind a tall walled off area)

Thank you! I've heard good things about their food court - our Halloween party night will be a resort day until party time and since AoA is so close I thought maybe we'd do breakfast/brunch their then head back to CBR to swim until party time!

First time posting. We'll be visiting 11/8-11/16. Looking forward to our first CBR stay. Little apprehensive at first but I've enjoyed reading the positive posts. Can someone help me out and point me to the "list"? I see vacation dates are added to it but I'm not sure how I see it.

Check out page 1 of this thread. You will find lots of great information, pictures & the roll call.

I know that this could change with the refurb, but is the hair dryer that's in the rooms at CBR the kind that is attached to the wall or is it "free" so that it can be plugged in anywhere? At CSR, they had a regular size hair dryer that hung from a bag in the closet area. Thanks in advance!

They are the ones that are wall-mounted. As you said, this may change after the refurb.

We've done Dance the World twice (we own a dance school) and it is fantastic! World Class Vacations is excellent. Your rooming sheets are turned in by October so you will have a res number before 180 days. You will have 3 things that are required on days of the trip: there's s 2 hour practice on the first night of the trip (the kids are bused there with the studio owners), the day of the parade, the dancers get on the buses 2 hours before parade step-off (count on about 4-5 hours for the parade stuff) and then the Hollywood studios performance will be about 2-3 hrs of your time. We do a DTD disney performance instead of DHS but you have to audition etc and it's extra $$. It's a wonderful trip and the dancers get to be backstage at MK! I can answer questions if you have more :)

Thanks! I'm not sure how our studio is booking it. When we had the parent meeting, they mentioned that they had done this only 4 times in the past 20 years (this past year was our first year of showtroop, though my girls have been there since they were each 3, they just couldn't join showtroop until age 5), and that they've danced in DTD, near the American Adventure in Epcot, and on stage in Tomorrowland. They said that they won't know until much closer to time the exact location we'll be dancing in, and that we could have only 20 minutes, or we could have an hour, or some other time limit. So I'm thinking we're not going to actually be in a parade? I have no clue.

more information is supposed to be coming out in August. Right now the current showtroop (which includes my oldest daughter) is gearing up for Nationals in July so it is pretty busy at the studio. I'm not going to bug them about Disney until August when I get that info packet...though I'm just dying to know how it is all going to work out. I'm don't do the park commando style of touring, but I'm a big planner. I like to be able to plan our days, our TS meals, and any extra activities we might want to do. This upcoming trip will be my first experience with FP+, so I know I will want to plan that out as best I can so that my family will have the best use of it. After all, I have 5 and 6 year old girls. I'm gonna NEED that Anna/Elsa FP+ reservation! LOL.

Although I am a year out from our trip, I am thinking this is where I'll book myself and my kids. The upcoming queens beds and decor sealed it for me. Planning on booking a preferred room (hoping they are completed by next June/July). I was looking at the map and I see the buildings that are considered preferred. I also saw a building that was called Promenade. I don't believe I've seen anyone mention it. Just curious as to what it is. I also can't find the photos of the renovated rooms (maybe just a model) and wanted to see them again if anyone can link me.

Thanks so much! Really looking forward to next summer!!! :goodvibes

If you mean June/July 2015, then all the refurb work should be complete then.

Promenade is not a building, that indicates the walkway, some of which is a boardwalk. :)

Trinidad North and Martinique 24, 25, and 26 are preferred rooms. For pictures and discussion of the refurb start reading this thread from page 23. There are pics and quite a lot of discussion.
