I'm sure by the time fall free dining comes up there will be lots of rehabbed rooms available. We don't need room for 5 but prefer *** theme of Jamaica buildings plus need to cross that beautiful bridge to food court

Can't wait to check in September 25 thru October 4. It will be our first time at CBR!

So I'm not the only one with a " bridge addiction". Lol! :)

Nope, me too!!

Not too surprising, I suppose, that I'm not that unique.:rotfl2:

Watch this space: our mid-Nov 2015 trip may just turn into a March-April 2015 trip. Got some good flights on points, just need to convince DW! Wish me luck... ;)

Two questions:
1. We are traveling with a group playing in a tournament at ESPN WWOS do y'all know if group check in takes place at the front desk or is there somewhere else for groups to check in. (Last time when we went we stayed at Coronado Springs and there was a separate checkin area for groups that I didn't know about - just trying to avoid being lost with 40 people again!!)

2. Do y'all know if groups are usually put into certain buildings?

Trying to do my research ahead of time so at least one person will know where everything is!!

There is no separate check in for groups. CSR is a convention resort so they have a separate check in area for large groups. Some of the conventions at CSR can have a couple hundred people.

They will try to put you all together, but it could be anywhere withing the resort.

stnet, what are the days your group will be at CBR? what type of team? (inquiring minds want to know;) )

they usually try to put the groups together, for their sake as well as the other guests.

you should have a contact person within your grou[p with all the check info you need. (where you need to go and what to do, etc.)

We are a soccer team and will be there from July 13-July 20. The event hotel choices were CBR or Pop and then several offsite hotels. Right now the tournament has 198 teams signed up. When we stayed at Coronado they had the teams scattered all over the resort which really surprised me. I am the contact person within our group and the one everyone looks to for answers!! Just trying to think of the issues we had last time and come up with answers 1st!! Speaking of would anyone know where the buses that are going to transport us to WWOS will pick us up. That was a huge disaster last time with us going from the back of Coronado Resort all the way to the front only to eventually find out we had to go all the way to the back again!!

We have been at the resort twice when there were baseball teams there. Each time, they were in the Barbados village. We saw the buses picking them up in the Barbados parking lot. I don't know if this is the only section of the resort that they stay in but they were there both times we saw them.

Awesome information!! Thank you so much!!

hmm I would think there would be a contact person at disney you could talk to.. group events?

We have to book through Anthony Travel and unfortunately they don't really know much - the whole FP+ thing will definitely be a learning experience this go round. For instance there know how to guide still has FP- information in it!! I have been to Disney a ton so not totally in the dark but there are always things that come up!! Luckily I can usually get on here and get the answers I need :thumbsup2!! Last trip no one at the resort or Anthony Travel could tell us where the buses would be picking us up to take us to WWOS which was really frustrating. Then when we finally found them they weren't running yet and we almost didn't make our game time!! We had to beg and plead with the drivers to call and get permission to start running the buses early - after that though everything else went really smooth.

Oh, so you do already have rooms. That's good, you can just modify as needed! That's what I figure. A room with a Murphy bed in preferred would be worth the small extra cost since the next option up for families of 5 is a LOT more. Values unfortunately don't work for our family.

I priced value when booking this trip and by the time I upgraded our dining, staying value was around $500 cheaper. I thought about it long and hard, but didn't want to regret staying value to save $500 on the trip so I went ahead and went with CBR. Don't get me wrong I would LOVE to save 500! In fact being able to go down to one room for 4 days would save me around 600-800(even at a prefered rates plus an extra adult fee for rooms fitting 5)...that would be amazing!

Super excited to maybe get a refurbed room, but we are headed down for Thanksgiving this year and Im wondering if refurb will effect our enjoyment of CBR? For those who were there recently, did you notice the refurb that much?

We were there for two weeks and were in Jamaica 43 while they were working on Jamaica 41. We were not affected at all by the refurb even though we walked by the construction area on our way to the bus stops. The only noise that we heard were of saws when we were in that area. Other than that? Nothing. I honestly would not worry about being affected by the refurb (other than hoping that you get a new room, of course;))
