Hi I currently have 2 rooms booked at POP but am thinking of switching us all to one room at POR I really want to stay there and the rest of the family doesn't care either way.
so can someone tell me would I be able to fit a twin sized air mattress in the AB room that has a trundle???
I would rather sleep by myself than share a full sized bed with dh.

It would be tight and you would have to put it away every day as there isn't room to keep it up. You would also have to be creative as to where you put it.

I was thinking of deflating it and putting it under the bed? would that work? I just watched some videos and I REALLY want to stay there!

IIRC, there is no "under the bed". The beds have wood slats to the floor.
There are places against the walls that you could lean it though.

We will be there in two more days!:banana:

Alligator Bayou rooms do have a fair bit of space under the beds (it's where the trundle bed stows away). However Magnolia Bend rooms do not, the beds are on wooden bases.

It is getting closer and closer for us.
I cannot wait!!
First time staying at POR and I am looking forward to it!

I am booked for POR 8-3 through 8-11. Requested Magnolia Bend, it is myself, DH DD princess:6 and ddprincess:1. My concern is a place to put a pack in play in the room. I would prefer to put somewhere out of way as she goes to bed early and sleeps later than the rest of us. And naps mid day. Where have you put your pack and play?

TIA

I'd suggest putting the pack'n'play in the vanity/wash area, as there is a curtain which can be used to seperate this area from the rest of the room, which would allow your little DD to sleep more easily while other people use the main bedroom area.

Was wondering which building is the best to stay in. We are there 12-11 to 12-18 with a party of 8 in 3 rooms. We were looking at the Magnolia building. Any suggestions would be great!!

We are a family of 5 staying at the PO Riverside in August. I am afraid the trundle bed will be too small, and am planning on bringing an air mattress. We already have a good eddie bauer queen size air mattress that we know is good and comfortable. Will the queen size mattress fit in the place where the trundle bed goes? Or should we go out and buy a new twin size mattress?

Thanks

A queen size mattress will not fit where the trundle goes. The trundle is twin size and slides out from under the bed between the bed and the door. The trundle is small but not really smaller than a twin mattress. My DS-17 slept on it last year. He's 5-10. He actually wanted it. :rotfl:

The trundle bed matress is 70" x 30" if that helps (I measured one).

Ah, but how thick are the trundle bed mattresses? :goodvibes

Just kidding. You are the master of details about Port Orleans Riverside and let me assure you, I and many others on here appreciate every bit of info you provide.

We brought a twin inflatable mattress and it fit fine (very little room to spare, though) between the bed and door. During the day, we propped the mattress against the wall.

I believe that the last time POR had room refurbs was in 2005. We stayed at POR last summer and the rooms were showing wear and tear. We are thinking of another POR stay in 2011 and am hoping that by then the room will have been updated. Does anyone know if POR is slated for room rehabs any time soon?
