It was so nice to run the race with @GuinnessRunner and we got to finish with @Novatrix and @marty3d !

That was probably the lady that was in the TTC parking lot. She definitely had the volume on her speakers turned up.

Did anyone else get confused coming out of the castle where the photographers were? I was staring into the little tents they sit in and they were empty? Confused the heck out of me and then when I got closer I noticed they were sitting on the ground a few feet to the right of the tents.

It was great to run into @3princesandaprincess and DH and spend some time with them on the course this morning.

Huge thanks to @garneska for catching me outside of TTC. We were running the same intervals and it was great to have conversation to distract from the slog of the last half of the half! It really made the time go by faster.

It was so fun meeting up with so many disboards people on the course!

It was great spending some time with @Z-Knight just out of Magic Kingdom, and then @marty3d, @The Expert and @GuinnessRunner all the way to the finish line!

I had a much better experience at the half this year than last even though it was still congested and slow moving at times. Photo etiquette was even worse in MK though. Bonus to seeing @nancipants!!! Gave me some extra pep.

returning the favor to @camaker, in 2023 he picked me up and this year I picked him up. Also met @3princesandaprincess. Was a great way to pass time. I am also not wrecked.

We made it to Epcot and are at France. Should be in Epcot most of the day. Glad to NOT be running tomorrow.

Finished! My back wasn’t an issue (a couple of warning twinges when I ran down hills) but my feet and ankles/lower calfs (calves?) are pretty tired. Ran with @pluto377 for a few miles and also with @Mr_Incr3dible who waited to me in the finish area.

The lines for pictures were crazy this year. The castle took almost 10min. I stopped for 0 characters because the lines were all at least 5min long.

I think they’re going to expedite the start tomorrow, so now I have to decide if I want to spend more time standing when the corrals push forward unnecessarily early (and be in the front), or have 15min less cushion on the balloon ladies (and start in the back.)

I was tracking a bunch of people and noticed a lot of them were stopped at the same spot for a long time. Assuming that was the castle.

Eating a delicious chicken stir fry in the land pavilion. And to all the other gluten free folks out there (or fam with gf) I know @3princesandaprincess and @Baloo in MI do, apparently all the stir fries at seasons are already gluten free! Fastest I’ve ever gotten an allergy order!

Slowest half ever by a lot but I got most of the photo stops (didn’t bother with castle - I’ll get it later as medal photo, or Spaceship Earth - probably will get it tomorrow) and skipped a few long lines in the middle to make up some time. Paid off, the later character stops were super efficient and lines weren’t bad.

Resting up and then on to the marathon! I’ll pop into MK for a little bit just to have something to do. I actually liked the monorail, will likely stick with VGF again next year. No issues, popping out after security at Epcot was nice.

That was a fun half (other than the lines). Had a chance to run with @Z-Knight for a few miles after MK. Saw @nancipants at TTC - thanks for coming out to cheer! Then caught up to @Novatrix @The Expert and @GuinnessRunner and finished together!

To chime in on the food debate. I’m giving a thumbs up to Fritos and Plastic Cheese and the PB&J waffles weren’t bad - and I don’t like strawberry.

Got a little rest and heading to DHS now. Look forward to seeing people at the meetup in the morning.

I wonder if the lines were affected by the theme - they had a lot of “couples” out and some who are rare.

I got a few high fives early on, but it was dark and chaotic so I don’t know if they were people from here or not. I hope so!!

I’m so glad I came out. It was a lot of fun! But now I’m on the couch and planning to have minimal movement and speech for the rest of the day. At least I’m very tired so going to bed early should be easy!

Saturday tradition- get favorite cookie from Riviera. They don’t have single cookies out, just boxes, and I don’t want to pay for nor eat more cookies. The system lets me mobile order one cookie, and when I pick up my bag inside is the box Anyone at Pop or AoA want a cookie? Please

I thought it was pretty good course today. A little congested at first but it opened up after a little bit. Agree with others whose ankles hurt. Those on ramps and slanted roads are killer. I am thankful it there was more lighting on the road past Poly and to GF this year. The only really dark area was coming out of MK where they were playing I Will Always Love You.

After cleaning up, headed back to Epcot. It is pretty packed, but to be expected. Riding a few rides and grabbing some food, then it’s back to the room to rest and watch the NFL playoffs. If you see a black and white 49ers hat and HM shirt, say hi!
