Dannielle, what a thoughtful question!

You could call reservations to see if this is something that could be supplied (if the CM doesn't know ask them to call special needs while you hold)or maybe pick up an inexpensive one at home and just take it along. You could slip it under the sheet or request an extra sheet (all sheets are flat) and through that over the pad.

The beds do have a mattress pad, but it looks to be cotton.

Have a great trip!! :)

There is no actual direct resort number any longer. All calls go to a call center (even from your room when you touch 407easily admit it is not actually the front desk. S/he will add requests to the reservation (have a friend who works in the call center).

So, the only way to make a request is on your reservation and some guests will fax the resort 4 days prior to arrival.

When at the resort, the best way to speak with the front desk is to go in person.

Have a great trip!!
Not true. I just called direct at 407- 934-6000 and got the front desk.

Hi on the pad question, we actually travel with one of the "chucks" that they use in hospitals. It is the fabric liner that they put on top of the sheets when you are in the hospital. It makes so much sense because you dont have to change the sheets when it gets soiled just the chuck. I got a couple when I came home from the hospital after giving birth. I was having some issues let's say lol and the nurse sent me home with two.

They are great because they are washable and they travel well. When I stopped using them for myself I didnt throw them out. So they were in the closet when my oldest started toilet training and was having some issues at night. I have used them for both kids now and they have been God sent. I just lay them on top of the sheets and if they have an accident I just throw it in the wash without having to change the entire bed.

I purchased a couple more at a local medical supply company however you probably can get a cloth chuck new right on ebay or another auction site pretty cheap.

Like I said they have had so many uses for us. We even have taken them in the car and put them under the kids bottoms on long trips. My kids seem to fall asleep when we take long rides and we were having accidents in the car so we started using the chucks to travel instead of making the kids wear diapers and sending mixed messages to them.

Hope this helps. Sorry it was so long winded...

Sorry, but it is highly unlikely it was the front desk - they will answer Front Desk and lead you to believe it is the front desk, but all calls go to a call center now. It has been this way for years, it is not some sort of secret. :goodvibes

Glad the pool is open!!! We will be there in three weeks! Hope it is starting to be a bit warmer by then!!

I read in another thread that the bus stops first at West Depot to pick people up. Now I'm confused :confused3 because I thought it stopped first at the Main one. Is this a recent change or has it always been like this. Can someone explain how the busses work in POR?

When we were there in Sept. the west depot was the first pick up.

The busses seemed, to me, to change periodically. I noticed this mostly on dropoffs.

Now the bus Usually in the Morining stops at PORQ frist, then genrealy comes around to the Main stop at por.I know that If one stop has more people they will dricet buses to those locations frist because by the time the bus gets to them on a normal pick up pattren there going to be to full.

Can you request a microwave?? (most hotels we've gone to have them for a small fee/day). And are trundle beds in the Mansion section also???? Very excited 1st trip to PORS :cool1:

 There are microwaves available for guest use in the food court, but not available for the rooms.

Only the AB rooms have a trundle.

Have a great trip!!!!

Where is the best building to ask for? We will have our car so that won't be a problem. I want to be able to see beautiful things from our window. We have never been to this resort. Always a Value. I want this to be a great trip since it might be awhile until we go back. Well I'm saying that now lol

I would probably request building 5 or 6 for a nice view...no chance of a parking lot view...and what the heck,,,request a corner room as well! We've always had a corner room at every moderate (very spoiled). Some think all the corner rooms are Kings, but not true!

It is such a pretty resort - have a wonderful trip!!

p.s. At check-in let them know it is your first stay, how excited you are, and could they please find you a room with a pretty view. The CM's can be so helpful if they understand what you'd like. :)

I asked WDW reservations and they said there are trundle beds in the Mansions section also :confused3 . If we have to stay at AB what would be a good choice for convenience to pool, food court, and bus. Thank you so much
