Whew! Is she gone yet? Y'all won't be getting all that outta me. (I'll admit, I don't have the faintest idea what the first one means.)

Well, I did it, I finally DID it. I bought a laptop<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/547.gif' border=0></a>. Only I don't want to say what kind because I'm afraid someone (Ohanafamily) won't like it. I did my best and I think I did OK. I'm really just very glad that it's over. I am so not a techie. The only thing I have to figure out is how to connect to the internet wireless. That part is still confusing me and the guy who sold it to me was just making it worse.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_13_3.gif' border=0></a> I may let DH work that puzzle out on his own.

After that I went to the party store to meet my DSIL, only she didn't show. She sort of stood me up. Not exactly, she did call me. Apparently her son, the space ranger, was not having a "good boy" day and the baby didn't want to get her picture taken, so she needed to go home and de-stress.

Anyway, our babies were born 4 days apart, so we are celebrating their first birthdays together this weekend. On top of that it's also her father's, my DFIL, birthday! So I picked up all the supplies to make it a party!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/300.gif' border=0></a>. I wonder<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_12_3.gif' border=0></a> if DMIL invited Nancy-pants. I need to find that out. Gotta go!

Lainie did not want her picture taken today. I can't be too upset, though. She is usually sooo good for pictures. Josh had a melt-down at the mall. He is a barrel of laughs...NOT! Terrible 2's ain't got nothin' on 4-year-old Josh. Oh, here is the best part of my day...my mom wants a coat from Dillard's (a dept. store). I have been waiting for it to go on sale. Today, there was an ad in the paper for "Customer Appreciation Day", everything in the store 20% off. WOOHOO!!........EXCEPT LADIES' COATS...Guess they don't appreciate me! I can't decide if I should just buy it at full price, or keep waiting it out. I want to be finished shopping.

I need to unwind. Does anyone have a pitcher of margaritas they could spare?

Hi all, I am sneaking off to the boards from a busy day at work....

[color=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/color], I am really not that bad, you asked for my opinions, so I told you my preferences. I also told you that you get lots of free extra stuff at the stores with the consumer models, but the extended waranties are better in the small business versions...that is why I sent you that way. I would love to be able to buy a laptop off the shelf, with all of the extra software, but I need XP pro. so I digress. if you send me the model number (or what type of card it has in it, I can tell you how to set it up...generally, you need to set up the accesspoint/router first, then make sure the laptop in in "Infrastructure" mode. also, you need to make sure the network name is the same on both the accesspoint and the laptop...I will be more than happy to walk you through it...Oh, and...

Back from an exceptional day at work....

First.. on the train ride in , the conductor forgot our car, so my ticket didn't get punch.. so i had a FREE ride into town,

then when I go there, I had won a prise for 3rd qtr sales and got $ 500 cash

Hmm do I buy gifts for the kids??? or AP's for the family at the Disney store with triple Visa rewards points.. Hmmmm

Then.. I was taken out to lunch by a vendor and had a great meal...

and then because I have been having such laptop issues.. like my hard drive keeps crashing..

they finally (after 2 months of trying to ignore the problem ) are going to give me a NEW LAPTOP>>>>YEAH - next week.. so I can do my JOB..

does it have serial or usb ports for the keyboard and mouse.. the reason I am asking is because my soon to be new laptop has usb ports for the mouse and keyboard and i have a really nice keyboard and mouse that is serial that i can give you plus a docker.. since my docker won't work with me new machine...

Sam had her party last night and we survived-barely. One of her friends drove her car into a ditch and dh and I went to see what we could do to help. To make a long story short, she ended up hitting an electrical box and sewer line. AAA couldn't help until public works arrived etc. 4 hours we sat waiting in the snow packed car. What a long night. Poor kid missed the party so she ended up sleeping over. Too distraught to go home. I guess we are parents of the week though!! Good side, she was not hurt and car isn't messed up too badly. Bad side, she gets the bill from public works.

CourtasanSatine DS has a white necklace from shells that the kids are wearing.. maybe it is just the 10 year old crowd too.. I haven't seen any of the guys at work with necklaces... earings lots but not a lot of necklaces.

CourtasanSatine, When I was in College (early 80's) lots of guys wore gold chains. Now it really seems to depend on the guy; but I would say you might be better off with a watch (or maybe a class ring if that is in your budget) Another thing I have seen is a crystal on a lanyard, maybe you can get a matching one. I like Rose Quartz, I have a book somewhere that gives the holistic uses for many of the more common crystals, if I recall Rose Quartz was one that helped share the bond of lovers letting them be more connected when they are apart. I will look for the book when I get home and quote you the paragraph of it's properties. Another one is Amethyst (another variety of Quartz) it supposedly imbues the wearer with sobriety (people used to drink out of Amethystine Goblets so they wouldn't get drunk). In today’s society, an Earring might also be something he might like (not me or any children I would ever have....). I also haven't seen the new KP Christmas story yet (I am sure TIVO recorded it...)
