The NCIS Official Thread

I thought last night's episode was very exciting. I loved Tony in the interregation. Michael Weatherly does such a great job of portraying both sides of Tony. I do figure they will be a part of a rescue, though I don't think the real NCIS is involved in those kind of operations. I can forgive them the embellishments because it's such a fun ride (and Tony's hot):rotfl:

I really don't know much they embellish because the real NCIS is a huge fan of the show and gives the cast real NCIS weapons training. The only complaint I've heard is that the real NCIS are better shots than on tv:lmao:

I liked the show last night. Just wish it had been longer. We knew Ziva was leaving. And i don't care if Gibbs says it was his decision, Ziva knew exactly what would happen when she asked what she did. And a new mission was clearly not the best thing for her. Oh my her face looked bad.

So place your bets kids. Are we starting off in Tel Aviv or the Horn of Africa next season?

Vance I'm on the fence about. We've opened the envie but haven't gotten any answers because Secnav planted it:headache:

OH and I forgot.....

He finished another dang boat:rotfl2:

I swear at the end of this series we better find out how the hell he gets the boats out of the basement:lmao::lmao::lmao:

My wife and I had a discussion about the boats last night ... My assumption is that Gibbs builds boats because he loves building boats. When he's done, he sits back, has a drink, and then disassembles the boat, so his basement is clear to start over -- kind of how Buddhist monks do colored sandpaintings.

My DW and I discovered NCIS about 6 months ago and watched the reruns all winter. I think we might be caught up now although we do seem to find one once-in-a-while that doesn't look familiar. NCIS and The Office are not to be missed for us.
We enjoy all of the characters. I remember Ducky from his days on The Man from U.N.C.L.E, one of my favorite shows as a teenager. He makes a great M.E. And, I enjoy seeing DiNozzo get whacked by Gibbs.
An excellent show.

I'm sure it's been said before, but one of my favorite lines is when asked what Ducky looked like when he was young Gibbs replies "Illya Kuryakin." :rotfl: I guess that gives away my age!

I only recently discovered NCIS in reruns on USA and now I am totally hooked! Don't know how I missed it for so long, too much Law and Order I suppose.

Dh and I kinda figured the whole point was the building of them, but if he disassembles them shouldn't we have seen the wood in the basement?:confused3

He was sweeping a perfectly clear floor when Ducky came down. and i thought I remembered him telling someone that he burnt the last boat. Though I could be worng about that.

Also a huge fan! I started watching the reruns on USA and then caught up to the "real time" episodes on CBS.

Love Tony!! I love the whole chemistry of the team - it's a great show to get lost in for a hour each week - can't wait until next season!

*wonders if I'm the only fanfic writer that has nursed the idea of crossovers between NCIS with Dark Angel and Man from UNCLE*

I don't think the show will start with NCIS initially saving them. I would think it would be a Mossad operation. They usually don't like to share. What I think will happen is these terrorists clearly have something in mind for NCIS and try to carry it out, dragging NCIS into the fray.

Did you all see that NCIS: Los Angeles will air after NCIS on Tuesday nights this fall?

That seems dumb. But so does the idea of a spin off. I hate spin offs, so maybe I'm just bitter. I think they ruin good shows. CSI comes to mind :rolleyes1

I'm antsy for next season.

But.....you have to remember that NCIS is a spinoff of JAG!

I don't like that idea - mainly because I loved the Mentalist after NCIS...now I have to stay up later to watch that on Thursday night  I think they might find that the other NCIS show might do better on a different night, not right after the original.

Oh my heart:lovestruc

Is that what they're calling it? Any night of the week they want to play is fine with me. Where are they putting the Mentalist?

Yes indeedy. And a dang good spinoff it is too. Did ya'll hear that last week episode had almost 17,000,000 viewers? I actually got reminded last night on a USA rerun when they had Patrick Laborteax make an appearance. Can't remember his character's name for the life of me.

Lt. Cmdr. Bud Roberts

There's an episode on CBS tonight (in fact, it's on right now) and it's a good one--the one when they went to Gibbs's hometown & they meet his dad, played by Ralph Waite.

The idea won't let go: so would a crossover fan fic between NCIS, Dark Angel and Man from UNCLE work? The idea is Ducky and Tony meet their counterparts on the other shows (mistaken idenity anyone?)
