OK, first I have to say, I love this show, don't miss it, watch most of the reruns on USA (I've seen them a few times and skip the ones that I am not as fond of), so don't flame me too much over this. Why do they write Tony being so mean and sometimes downright cruel to McGee? I know most of this in in earlier episodes, but it seems just so unprofessional. I know it is fiction and all, that but as I watch some of the times between the two of them it makes me not like Tony. Sometimes.

I can't wait for next week - Tuesday is my favorite night on TV...I get to watch like 4 hours straight of NCIS and then the hotty Simon Baker on the Mentalist. The spin off looked good from the coming ep...what we got to see. I will definitely watch.

"Legend (Part 1)" - The body of a Marine leads Gibbs and McGee to the NCIS OSP division in Los Angeles, where a murder investigation quickly climbs to a matter of national security in which the two offices must work together to resolve. Meanwhile, Tony begins to snoop into Ziva's personal life, on NCIS, Tuesday, April 28 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
I SO agree with this! The writers have no problem with making Tony look the fool, but if Tony so much as raises an eyebrow in Ziva's direction, he gets slammed. It was particularly bad in the "Kate years." She was getting downright "witchy" (rhymes with) toward the end. I actually wasn't too upset to see her killed off!I don't really think he is mean, someone on another forum pointed out that Tony went to prep school and was a frat boy. I think hazing is sort of natural to him and it is mostly done with affection. I think he takes less personal shots at McGee than he has gotten from McGee. I thought that Tony was more supportive of McGee when he shot the officer than Mcgee was to Tony when he was framed for murder. Though I actually like them both.
Then again ... if you're dealing with dead bodies every day, you've gotta cope somehow. Ziva does it by running and working out and doing martial arts. Abby bowls with nuns and does all the other weird stuff Abby does. Gibbs builds boats in his basement. McGee is an elf lord online. Tony plays practical jokes and is the court jester. Everyone copes in their own way.I've got to weigh in on this. I really liked David Weatherly's character in Dark Angel and maybe that's a little of why I have trouble with his character on NCIS. It shows what a good actor he is; the two characters are polar opposites. But the real thing is, I don't know, I guess I don't expect a person in his field to be so, goofy, sometimes. I get the boys will be boys bit, but sometimes it is hard to take him seriously. I don't recall the name of the episode, but it was when he was covering for Gibbs as team leader, that you really got to see his serious side.
That's "Bait." Love that episode! (Especially when Tony hangs up on Director Shepard and throws the phone.)One of my favorite episodes is one where a teenager has a bomb strapped to his chest, he's taken a class full of kids hostage. Gibbs goes into the classroom & pretends that Tony's in charge, and Tony has to make the decision whether or not to let the snipers try to shoot the kid. Great moment.
