The Mr. the Mrs. and the Dining Plan–Our June 09 Disneymoon -**Naples 4/3/2010**

Wow that was a busy day at Epcot, you guys did so much :) Loving all the pics and yay you did a KP Mission (can't wait to do this next year).

Your Le Cellier meal looked and sounded great, that moose is so cute.

Its fun riding up front of the monorail isn't it, you guys look so cute :)

Your kissy pics in front of Spaceship Earth are so adorable!:cutie:

My husband and I loved Le Cellier on our anniversary trip, but it does tend to get some mixed reviews here. I will definitely go back. Cheese soup - Yummo!

What a nicely filled day at Epcot :-)
I have to agree :)

KP missions are a must! We loved riding up front in the monorail, it is so sad they don't allow it anymore, but I can definitely see why. :sad2:

Thank you! I bought the Disney recipe book while we were there and made the soup, turned out pretty good, but nothing like what they serve you there!

June 24, 2009: Day Four, Part One –Good Morning Mickey Mouse!

Before we knew it, Stitch was on the phone with our wake up call. I set it for 6:15 since our ADR was at 7:00 AM! Now, I am really not crazy, however, I knew with such an early ADR we would be able to make MK rope drop, and that was something I always wanted to see.

At the time it seemed like a great idea.

Very groggily we got out of bed and began getting ready for our early morning with Mickey. It didn’t take very long to wake up since we were heading to the MK today for the entire day!

We were all set to go and when we opened the door to the hallway, we couldn’t believe the USA Today headline which said Michael Jackson had passed away. We remembered what the girl had said at Epcot and couldn’t believe it was actually true. We took the newspaper to read on the monorail.

As we walked to monorail, I couldn’t believe how peaceful everything felt. We were the only ones at the monorail station and barely anyone was walking around the GF. It was sort of eerie since when you think of Disney in the summer, you think crowds.

Once the monorail came, we were the only ones in car, so we read the newspaper to learn more details. Soon, we were at the Contemporary and checking into Chef Mickey’s. We were seated right away since we had one of the first ADRs of the morning. We took the obligatory picture with the plate and followed the CM to our small table for two.

Honestly, it was so early, I wasn’t even hungry, I just wanted to see my favorite characters at this point! Our server came quickly for our drink orders and was happy to see us in our bridal ears. She said that Minnie has been waiting for Mickey to marry her for a long time.

We saw the characters were no where to be seen in our section just yet, so we decided to go get some food. They had a nice selection of breakfast food available. I got some scrambled eggs and Mickey waffles. I was so excited that they were shaped like Mickey!!

Camera341.jpg

Camera335.jpg

It was all very tasty, even though I just nibbled on the food here and there, slowly, I was waking up, it was probably because I saw Goofy coming to our table!

Camera337.jpg

Camera338.jpg

Our server was very good about being around when the characters came to take our pictures.

Right after we said our goodbyes to Goofy, Mickey was ready to greet us! We said good morning to our favorite mouse and our server took our picture.

Camera339.jpg

He kissed my hand and went off to another table.

With no characters in sight, we were able to refill our plates and keep on eating. Our server came out with a surprise from us too.

Camera340.jpg

Nothing like a chocolate cupcake for breakfast!! DH and I blew out the candles together and started picking it apart.

As we were eating our very healthy breakfast, Donald came over for a picture.

Camera342.jpg

I was careful not to insult him, apparently, he gets very offended if you mention his height, which I learned the hard way in 2007.

Minnie was next and was incredibly excited to see our ears.

Camera345.jpg

Camera344.jpg

The picture above is one of my absolute favorite was the entire vacation!

Sometime in between we twirled our napkins and joined in the celebration that happens at Chef Mickey’s.

Pluto, who was our final character to meet, came over next.

Camera346.jpg

So cute!

Camera347.jpg

Looking at the time, I knew we would make rope drop! After we took care of the check, we headed back to the monorail and took it to the MK since I didn’t know where the Contemporary Resort Launch was, although it would have probably been quicker to just walk.

continued in next post...

Soon, we were in front of the train station happily awaiting rope drop. There were quite a few people already there, but we still had about half hour before it began.

Camera353.jpg

While we waited, we saw this guy roaming around.

Soon, Photopass photogs were out and about, so of course, we utilized them!

And finally, as we inched closer to the left tunnel, it was time for Rope Drop! Our first one ever!!

I absolutely loved Rope Drop! It was worth the early morning!! It seriously gave me goosebumps as they opened up my favorite place in the entire world. I hope in the future we can see Rope Drops at the other parks!

As they opened up the Magic Kingdom, we were all corralled in, DH and I were headed straight for Splash Mountain fastpasses to use later on in the day. I was so impressed at how organized Rope Drop is. With all those people I was expected running and pushing and shoving, but Disney has it down to such an art, I was in awe! As we walked down Main Street and then through Liberty Square, another set of CMs was waiting in frontierland to see us to Splash. I think even Brer Bear joined us! We got our fastpasses with a great return time and started toward Adventureland to go on the classic Disney attraction, Jungle Cruise.

On the way though, of course we stopped for a photo in front of my favorite Disney ride!

We made it to Jungle Cruise, and were happy to see it was basically a walk on with a 5 minute wait posted, I doubt we even waited that long!

Once we got on, we were instructed to sit on the sacrificial altar. Soon we were off on our adventurous cruise.

Our trusty cruise captain

Camera380.jpg

Camera379.jpg

Camera383.jpg

Camera388.jpg

The jokes, of course, were corny, just how we love them on the Jungle Cruise. Since were right near Pirates of the Caribbean, we decided to pay Capt. Jack a visit, again with absolutely NO wait! With Pirates, it doesn’t matter how many times I ride it, I always find new things I had never noticed before. It is truly Disney magic/

After our run in with Pirates, we noticed it was time for our Splash Mountain fast pass, which meant we could now get a new one, of course we chose Thunder Mountain.

I get so giddy on Splash Mountain, I love the soundtrack and the entire ride as a whole! I was so excited to be riding it! I believe on this go round we were in the back row and at the final drop, we didn’t get too wet.we know where to sit if you want to get nailed with water!

We decided to head to Haunted Mansion next. On the way there, we saw Frontier Donald and we just had to meet him! We don’t normally wait in character lines, but we were having such a successful day and it was our honeymoon!!

We noticed the skies looked like they were getting a gray, and the CM announced that if it began to rain, Donald would have to leave, but would return later, we were pretty close to the front of the line by now, so I hoped the rain would just hold off for a couple minutes more!

It started to drizzle and I started to panic...we had already waited a good 15 minutes to meet him, but low and behold, Donald held out the rain to take some pictures with us! I swear it was the ears because after us, he went inside as the rain started to pick up!

Image074.jpg

Image076.jpg

Image078.jpg

We headed to Haunted Mansion which had about a 20 minute wait posted, since it was raining, a lot of people headed into the line for shelter, us being already wet for Splash, really didn’t notice it. Soon we were in the Haunted Mansion, this DH’s favorite ride at Disney. Again, this is one of those rides that never gets old, no matter how many times you ride it, and I always find new things on this one too.

Luckily, once we were off of HM, the rain had stopped and sun was beginning to peak out again. It was time to ride Thunder Mountain, so we headed back to Frontierland to ride the wildest ride in the wilderness.

As always, it was great, but it did make me miss Space Mountain on this trip.

Since we could get another FP, we headed to Fantasyland for a Peter Pan FP because we all know how frustrating that line can be! Our return time was for a little later in the afternoon.

Seeing that we had accomplished so much in such a short amount of time, we decided to head back to Main Street to take some pictures and do some shopping before heading back to GF for a quick lunch and break.

On our way, I noticed the Sword in the Stone for the first time ever. A nice lady offered to take our picture.

Camera398.jpg

Next, we stopped in the back of the castle to take some pictures with Cinderella’s fountain which is where we got engaged.

Camera401.jpg

Camera400.jpg

Camera399.jpg

Showing that I now have 2 rings on that finger!

Everyone’s favorite Fairy Godmother was out taking pictures. And once again, luck was on our side! We were the last ones allowed to get in line the CM was not allowing anyone else. We didn’t wait too long, and it was so cute to see a little baby, must have been no older than 6 months old, take a pictures with the Fairy Godmother holding her! I can’t wait to have those kinds of pictures with our own family one day.

Finally, it was our turn, and we could tell Godmother was ready to get to out of that costume because she quickly posed for a picture, and she was off. Not very great interaction, but I am sure she was standing there for a while and that metallic costume must get hot!

Finally, making it to Main Street we literally hit up every Photopass photographer on Main Street and noticed that some were much better or more fun than others.

Enjoy what I like to call our Main Street photoshoot.

In between the multitude of pictures were going in and out of stores doing some shopping, I think I bought some postcards to send to family and a few cute Mickey espresso cup.

We were pretty hungry after all those pictures, so we decided to go back to the GF, grab a bite to eat at Gasparillas (the food court at the GF) and take a short nap before returning to the MK for the evening.
Continued in next post...

We boat launched back to the GF, and it felt so good to sit! The ability to be able to break in the afternoon, during the hottest part of the day, is pure heaven! It does a number for your endurance and energy.

Gasparillas was pretty empty, I think we both got and Italian sandwich, which was yummy! There were tables setup outside, so we enjoyed our lunch with a view.

Camera407.jpg

This. Is. The. Life.

Camera409.jpg

Some friends decided to join us.

Camera412.jpg

With bellies full, we headed back up to our room for our afternoon siesta! It was about 2:00 by the time we fell asleep and we didn’t wake up until 5:00...apparently, our Epcot day, and our early morning with Mickey had worn us out!

We woke up feeling refreshed and ready for the evening ahead. We headed down to the lobby for some quick concierge snacks to hold us over before dinner.

Camera414.jpg

DELICIOUS!!

And soon we were back aboard the monorail heading back to the MK! Tonight the MK had EMH until 2:00 AM, so we had a long evening ahead of us.

With our 3 hour nap, it honestly felt like a new day!

Welcome Back!

Image133.jpg

Image134.jpg

We walked over to Splash Mountain to get some more fastpasses and hoped they were available, and they were.

I now wanted to head over to Toon Town since I had never been on that side of the park before. I was excited to see Mickey and Minnie’s houses. We took the train from Frontierland over to Toon Town.

All aboard!

With Mickey and Minnie’s off our list, we headed to the Barnstormer, where it seemed we were the only two people there without children, we didn’t care though, Disney, even Toon Town is for people of all ages!

Camera459.jpg

Camera434.jpg

Camera435.jpg

We waited about 30 minutes before we boarded, luckily we got front row.

Camera438.jpg

Camera437.jpg

And in the time it took to take those two pictures, the ride was over! We were cracking up at how short it was. It was still a great time because we couldn’t stop laughing!

We headed to Tomorrowland next, grabbed some FPs for Buzz and made our way through Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan.

Camera461.jpg

I made a quick mental note to ride Dumbo sometime on this trip!

Arriving at Peter Pan, of course the standby line was at 70 minutes or something ridiculous like that, made me mighty happy that we had FPs. We then skipped along the way to ride Small World, always something new to see in there!

After SM, we went to Philharmagic which we barely waited for. We took our seats, put on our glasses and started to enjoy the show. It was near the end of the show, when the screen went black, the lights went out, and the emergency lights went off. They made an announcement about technical difficulties and we were all escorted out of the theater. During the short time we were in the theater, we noticed the ground was drenched from a rain storm. We concluded that lightening maybe caused the technical difficulty and wondered how many other rides, if any, were affected.

After that interesting rendition of Philharmagic, we marched our behinds to Frontierland for FPs for Thunder Mountain, and then went off to ride Buzz.

During Buzz, we experienced technical difficulties too, and I believe our final score didn’t show up, it just kept blinking 9’s. MK was definitely having some problems!

Camera463.jpg

Feeling hungry, we decided on some Cosmic Rays for dinner since it was close by. It was here we were surprised by some pixie dust!

Author's Note:*****I notice our clothes are wet in those pictures, and now that I think about it, we must have rode Splash Mountain and gotten a FastPass when we returned...it was such a long day and it was 6 months ago so I am allowed to forget some details, right??*****

To Be Continued....

UP NEXt: Our Surprise Pixie Dust at Cosmic Rays & SpectroMagic....

June 24, 2009: Day Four, Part Two – Pixie Dust & Evening Fun!!

Cosmic Rays wasn’t very busy, Justin and I took a moment to decide what we wanted, I think we ended up splitting a Chicken finger meal. We found that on the Dining Plan, we were able to split many CS meals since you get a dessert and can get fuller.
We ordered our food and a CM came up to us to ask us all about our wedding and how our honeymoon has been. We thought it was completely random because she came out of nowhere.

She went into some speech about celebrations at the WDW Resort and asked us if we would like to be Sonny’s (The furry alien who plays music in the restaurant) Family of the Day. Of course, we agreed.

She led us over to a roped off booth and told us that she would wait on us. She brought us extra ketchup, napkins, and our food that we ordered. When we were finished she came and cleaned up our table, and gave us a Magical Moment Certificate, she also took our picture.

Camera464.jpg

It was such a fun moment to have that kind of service in a counter service restaurant!

After our lovely dinner , we thanked the CM, and headed to the castle to get a spot for SpectroMagic.

Image137.jpg

We ended up finding a spot to stand on the right side of the castle, there were people everywhere and if we weren’t careful, we would have definitely stepped on someone! It was JAMMED packed and the show wasn’t set to start for about another 30 minutes or so.

Feeling bored, I told DH to take pictures of the castle changing colors.

First, Green.
Camera465.jpg

Then, light blue.
Camera468.jpg

Then, pink.

After my favorite parade we waited where we were for Wishes to start!

We have no pictures of Wishes because we like to take it all in! We had a great view of the fireworks, and I am pretty sure I cried, as always.

After Wishes, we rode Carousel of Progress. I love this ride and actually have memories of it from when I was 4 years old! We had a great group of people on this ride, they were singing along the entire time. Someone in the middle of the ride walked out of the theater, which we all think set off some kind of security glitch on the ride because it didn’t go on to the next scene although we heard the audio. Eventually it fixed itself, but it was just another “off” moment in MK’s day.

Afterwards, I think we rode Haunted Mansion again. Along the way, near Dumbo, I found a cage, and I think DH was happy to put me in it.
Camera533.jpg

We walked over to Thunder Mountain, it was about park closing time and the start of EMH! The line was pretty long, so we tried our luck and showed our FPs. The CM said technically we wouldn’t use them, but he said since we were celebrating we could go around to the handicap entrance to use of FP!

When we arrived, we were on the other side of the platform with a few other families. It was fun being on the other side. We got to ride and I think this ride is so much better at night!

We walked over to Splash Mountain which we waited barely 10 minutes for. We were really enjoying EMH! I think we were toward the back again, but we got to Splash 3 times on this day, and we were mighty happy about that!

After, we walked over Pirates and had another great group of people who were cheering throughout the ride, we decided that EMH brings out the Disney fanatics because we found ourselves cheering and singing along as well, at least I was, DH doesn’t sing, and actually, I shouldn’t either, it isn’t pretty!

Starting to feel the effects of a JAM PACKED Magic Kingdom day which began at 6:15, we decided to call it a night but not before getting a Dole Whip Float in Adventureland. If you have never tried one, you must! They are heaven!

We found a bench to enjoy our float and take in a wonderful day.

Literally dragging our feet, we walked toward Main Street, but not before taking 1 more pictures for the night.
Image138.jpg

I was literally ready to fall asleep on the boat launch back to the GF. It was nice falling asleep that night knowing that tomorrow was our break day filled with swimming, shopping at DTD, parasailing, and a late dinner at Cali Grill!

UP NEXT: Does this count as a “break” day??

great from start to finish, glad to see you did not have to many problems with people in june, thats when our trip is and hopefully we wont have that many people either.

Theres always one that wants to ruin it for others, least it didn't get too ugly. Apart from that though it looks like you had a lovely evening, some great pics :)

Subscribing just caught up on your tr and it is fantastic.

Great updates - looking forward to hearing about your relaxing (non-park) day!
