I give it two-thumbs-up! Jodie Foster was great. They had some good twists that I didn't expect! I definitely recommend it. I read somewhere that there is a "glaring" plot hole, but after seeing it I sure don't know what the plot hole is!

A good exciting thriller...I wont say anything else as I don't want to give it away!

Edited: Actually I did think of the plot hole. I don't think it's major, but it did seem like a plot hole to me. Oh well it's still a great movie I think! If you want to know PM me.

I saw it too. I wonder if you think the glaring plot hole is the same as what I think.

Spoiler:

The hmmmmm hmmm hmm and how they were in the hmmhmm. They were there, why?

I liked this movie too.
Plot hole? What plot hole???

Cathy

Thanks for the mini review and not giving too much away! When there's something I really want to see, I try to avoid mention of it because I want to go in as a blank slate.

Love Jodie Foster!

My GF and I saw it Friday night and thought it was very good!!

Plot hole??? PM sent.

We just saw it last night. I thought it was really good but had a cheesy ending. Totally unbelievable ending but I like Jody Foster so I liked the movie overall.

It seems like the critics are divided on this. Some like it, some didn't. I love thrillers and loved "Panic Room."

Ok a lot of people have PM'ed me about the "plot hole" so I'll just post what I think it is.

SPOILER (highlight to read): Ok in the beginning of the movie there are some men looking through her window at night. Well, I *believe* (but I'll have to watch again) it is the Arab men that were on the plane. Well, why were they looking through her window? And why were they on the same plane as her? Maybe I missed something...it just seemed kind of strange. They seemed to be giving her REALLY weird looks to. END SPOILER

OK, I am just not seeing what you thought was so great about this movie. Jodie Foster is a great actress, but it did have holes and it wasn't all that unpredictable. I'm wondering why she even did this film and if maybe it was chopped to bits in the editing. People do like it though. Some in our theater actually clapped at the end, huh? :confused3 No one I was with thought this film was even recommending even as a video rental. 2 hours of life - gone.

I have not seen the movie, but I read the synopsis on themoviespoiler.com. I'm going to comment on what free4life said in the spoiler. Highlight to read.....

On themoviespoiler, the person who "reviewed" it said that one of the guys looking through the window was the US Marshall guy on the plane. I don't know if he's right, since I haven't seen it, but that might help you out a bit.

Free,
That is the exact plot hole we were wondering about it.
All I can think of is (highlight to read spoiler):
That Carson somehow arranged for them to go there to look for something. They saw someone look at them and ran back to their hotel. But what was weird was that Carson had mentioned that her suspecting them to be terrorists seemed like a nice surprise. Very odd. I'm surprised this wasn't caught in the test screenings. /end

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie, but after seeing it I have to say I didn't care for it as much as I thought I would.

How do you post an invisible message (where you have to highlight to read it?). That is really cool!

This is my take on that part of the plot. Highlight below to see.

The men that were looking out the window were in a Hilton. He showed her his hotel receipt on the plane. They just happened to be staying there and getting on the same plane. She thought they had something to do with her DD disappearing but they didn't. It was just a coincidence.

just saw this movie yesterday and i liked it, but there were a bunch of things that just made me go 'um, what?'

highlight for some spoilerish stuff:

first, why didn't she show the teddy bear to the captain or the crew? wouldnt that have made her story a bit more plausable? two, how did they manager to get the daughters boarding pass out of jodie fosters pocket? i mean it was folded and everything. i doubt i'd fold one pass and put it in my pocket and take the other one and put it in my carry on bag

I loved the movie! Great suspense, no nudity, very little language, fun to watch.

A couple of spoilerish-type comments:

I expected the passengers to erupt in applause as Jodie left with her daughter, just like they applauded the Marshall when he walked her back to her seat. Also, I loved the look on the Therapist's face as Jodie walked by! /end

I saw it today and I enjoyed it very much. I really like Jodie Foster and anything with Sean Bean is worth watching. People try to hard to pick movies apart. I just watch them for the enjoyment. So everything isn't neatly wrapped up. So what?

My guess is that this movie probably started out with a different idea and possibly the studio didn't like the idea...?? Who knows. Either way, with holes and all, I thought it was a fun movie.
