The Mother/Daughter Polynesian Surprise **NEW 5/1 I'm back!

Now I'm going to have to put on my thinking cap to see if I can think of some of these words (words that contain bad words) and work 'em in, accidental-like.

Won't work. Try another meaning for "not yet discovered" Not in like a million years.

Hint: Its in the name of one of the tours I took in November

Oh, okay...got it. I think I heard that there's an anti-Disney website that uses that name or something? I was having trouble because I thought that maybe there was a bad word I hadn't learned.

Today I finally made the call to arrange the horseback riding at TriCircle-D ranch for the Feb trip. The CM was less than magical. She was obviously spanish (had a thick accent) and kept getting distracted. I'm sorry, but that is not how you treat people on the phone. She would randomly start speaking spanish to her co-worker IN MID-SENTENCE! It was ludicrous. All I wanted was to arrange my trail ride! And when it came down to picking a time for the ride, I wasn't sure what the arranged times were. So I asked, "What times do you have?" She replied "Well I don't know what's available. I'm gonna have to check." "Okay, well I don't know what times the trail rides go. Can you please tell me?" Did I not make myself clear? :furious: This call was starting to go really sour. I was regretting even picking up the phone. I then asked if there were any passholder discounts. Then she gets all defensive like I was miffed at the fact she didn't ask me if I was a passholder. I thought I was being polite  Whatever. After exchanging form of payment and obtaining my confirmation number, I realized that she hadn't even told me how much it was. Glad I asked. :upsidedow Once I said goodbye, I hear her going on with her co-worker in spanish. This is Disney who I called, right??? :faint:

Putting that exasperating phone call behind me, let's look at the plans for our first day in Feb, shall we?

But before I do that, I just want to be sure I'm not confusing anyone with these trips: Feb vs. April. I would like to share with you my plans for Feb so it's going to be another diversion from my original April PTR (rather the original point of this thread :rolleyes1 dum dee dum...) So I hope nobody minds. If you're still reading this, you obviously don't mind so I'll just carry on!

Here's what our first day is looking like:

I'm currently in a fridge swap so we'll have a free fridge during our stay at Pop. :thumbsup2 Still need to make arrangements for that. I'm not sure what time and when we'll be picking up the fridge.

I figure I'll be starving by the time I get there so lunch at the Everything Pop will be necessary. This will be even better now that we're on the dining plan. All expenses paid :thumbsup2 Well, sort of (stupid gratuities  ) I know we're going to end up with too much food and more credits than we can juggle. Surely we'll find something to put those snack credits to good use. Does Goofy's Candy Co. take snack credits for that make-your-own-snack?

And since I enjoyed it so much in November, I've added in another dinner at Tokyo Dining. I will try and remember that less is more at this place and to actually read the sushi descriptions before getting another mouthful of wasabi mayonnaise :crazy2:

I'm really excited for Beaches & Cream. They don't take ADRs here (I think) but we'll just be going for a gigantic hot fudge sundae. That is really what I'm craving. Haven't decided if we'll sit in or take-out. They don't accept TIW for take-out but will the discount make up the difference for gratuity just to have our ice cream served to us? Does that even make sense? You know what I mean... Will have to give this one more thought....

The plan is to have my head on a pillow by 10:30pm. I'm going to have a really REALLY early start (2am). I might not even sleep the night prior. Especially if all this silly "limited carry-on" and heightened security measures at the airport keeps up. It really takes the "fun" out of travel. I might not even take a carry-on and just try to squeeze the essentials into my TravelMate. By the sounds of it, airlines still aren't allowing rolling carry-ons (the one's on wheels) but it's hard to tell. They provide the dimensions but don't have it pictured. Here, read this and you'll see what I mean.

I hate to say this but America is one of the toughest countries to get in to!!! Not to say that that's a bad thing. Just....props to Homeland Security....

I'll probably get ME to take care of my bags. I refuse to wait an extra 45 minutes for my bags after I get off the plane. Once I land, I want to get to Disney! Period. I probably won't need my luggage right away anyways. Bubba wants me to bring an extra giant suitcase with me again for her to fill up with stuff. I see another lugguge struggle in the works. :rotfl:

1 month from today, I'll be with Bubba again!

bingo

Day 1's looking good. Good idea to spend some time in Innoventions. My kids (and I) would like to do that, but games are not my wife's thing, so she'll indulge us for a little while and then be ready to try something different. We'll see.

Yes, you'll be exhausted, but on a Disney high, so I imagine you'll have no trouble staying up until 10:30 and then falling asleep in about 2 minutes.

Too bad Judy doesn't like it. At least she's kind enough to put up with it for a little while. I have never had the chance to fully explore Innoventions. We either get there as it's closing or are too busy with other things at Epcot. There's just too much to see!

You're probably right. In November, I had a very busy first day and was able to make it through to midnight. Then again, I didn't have to wake up at 2am. The Disney high will prevail I'm sure.

You know what's weird? You might find this a bit creepy but I dreamt last night that we met in Disney. I met you and the whole family. I said that your voice sounded like it belonged in radio broadcasting :confused3 I think the DIS is getting to my head

There's a thing about Velcro in Innoventions. It's a hoot. Check it out!

I'll take a note of that and let you know what I discover. I'm sure there's lots I've missed out all these years!

Yes, and I have a face for radio broadcasting too. You're going enough times this year I don't know why mid-June can't be another?

So like Glenn, do you have a Rush kind of voice or ???

:lmao:

Jen, the plans look great! I think you may want to skip Illluminations if you really are serious about getting your head on a pillow by 10:30 AND get a sundae at B&C. We're hittin' that place up hard too. So many choices, so little stomach room!!

You must have really, really liked Tokyo, that's where I left off today with your TR.

I sent DH off today with an extra box of stuff to the US. He wasn't super happy, but may save us about $100 or more in the end. Gotta use every pound/ kilo they'll give you. ;)

I don't know how you'd describe my voice, but words like "velvety" come to mind. :rotfl2:

OK, this is the 2nd time I've had to pull out the "spare me" phrase today already. :lmao:

Does Judy capitalize on it and take you to all her presentations?? :rotfl2: Hawaii, here we come??:lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: It's so much fun to write something like that and then see the response!

No, Judy doesn't take me to her presentations, but I've been known to add some commentary when she's held them at home. :rolleyes1

Seriously! You do have "the look". Now I just need to hear the voice and baby, you're on your way to HOLLYWOOD! :rotfl2:

And don't push your luck about June! Although.... :scratchin Oh great now look what you've done! I've gone thinking again!

So like Glenn, do you have a Rush kind of voice or ???

:lmao:

Is this the band Rush we're talking about or another Rush I'm not familiar with?

You make a very good point about Illuminations. I'll probably do better skipping the excitement of the fireworks and crowds. Just stick with enjoying some ice cream with a leisurely walk around the boardwalk.

I really did. The service, food, everything was great :cloud9: You're almost done my TR already :scared1:

Amen to that! Hey, he's a guy. He can handle it.

Is it a Harrison Ford velvety or more of a Sean Connery kind of velvety? :rotfl:

Yup, I been reading a couple of installments a night, and have been highly entertained. Glenn, it'll take me a bit longer to get yours all the way read through. Lots there! :thumbsup2 both are giving a ton of entertainment!! and to think it's all free!

I can only imagine what you might throw in. Something like suggestions on just HOW to use the paring knives? Expert advice on the "fluted pans"? :rotfl2:

The chatter between the posts is what it's all about! It provides hours of entertainment.
