The most annoying or aggravating thing you see at WDW.....get your flames ready!

This past Sept. we went to MK and were waiting to see Philharmagic in the holding 'pen' as we called it.
As the doors auto opened a group of kids (teens I think) started shoving and rushing to get through the doors! Seriously , I love the show too, but I don't think it's worth turning the waiting line into a mosh pit. Especially as we are holding onto two little boys hands and carrying a baby and the brats are slamming into people to be 'first' in.


I also understand about the using the handicapped potty. I have what is considered an 'invisible' disease (I have arthritis) and I have both hips replaced. I have to use a higher toilet because I cannot bend down with my fake hips. So I guess what I'm saying is it might be hard to tell who should be using the bigger potty and who shouldn't be. But I understand the vexation of it!
But again, it's Disney, so any annoyances didn't last long!

I try not to let other's "bad" behavior get me down at WDW. (Although this involves closing my eyes and counting to 10 alot. ) However, on my last trip with my 21 year old daughter it was difficult to maintain a good attitude when her foot was run over by a middle-aged women on an ECV. Now, I have no judgement about this person's weight or disability; but seriously, I was pretty upset that she backed up (without looking) into us. We were on a non-commando, girls only, shopping/eating trip. This happened on the sidewalk of a shopping area at MGM. The kicker is she ran over my daughter's foot and stopped. On her foot. You would think my daughter's screaming and my shouting would have quickly resolved the situation. But literally, it took this person a good minute of looking confusedly at us for her to roll off my daughter's foot. And she was apparently with a large group of people (on foot) who could and should of assisted her. I seriously wanted to get my DD medical attention and report the incompetent driver to a CM. But my DD insisted nothing was broken (her foot did end up purple, black and blue) and didn't want to this to spoil our trip. So she ended up limping a few days, and I'm still annoyed about this incident.

The woman (and her family) never even said "I'm sorry."

Don't let people unable to drive ECV's safely have access to them.

This has to be the same lady that "parked" on my foot!! She did not even apologize. She was in a hurry to get to Tinkerbell's Treasures where she parked her ECV and walked right in without a care in the world!!

Alright, flame if you wish but there are so many adults that come to WDW without kids and act so annoyed with all the kids "acting up"....or what I call having a great time!! If you get bumped into, or hit with a sword please try and control your anger and remember WDW is FOR KIDS!! So what if a 3 year old hits you with his light up sword?? Move on!-I highly doubt that he meant it!! If a child keeps bumping into you in line, please keep your feet to yourself and do not step on the said child's toes....on purpose...to teach him a lesson.

I've solved this problem in the past, when the polite approach fails, by taking a half step backward that places my bony heel directly on the offending party's toes. A quick, 'Excuse me', and that's the end of it.

I agree we were in line last August and this brat just kept swinging on the ropes and going around the poles holding up the ropes, once twice OK it's hot, it's boring but the whole line. He kept hitting my bag and knocking it off my shoulder , bumping my own 8 yr old who was standing in his spot, SO I simply traded spots with my DD who plays catcher on a softball team. When she stands still you aren't moving her! Next time around womp! he went back about 3 steps, tried it again same thing and she just stood there talking to us not even reacting, needless to say he didn't try it a third time.

One thing that annoys me the most at WDW are disrespectful people who see Push and think it is alright to beat up on him! It is so rude and mean. I know he is just a trash can but that is still a character. I am not going to go up to a costumed character and beat up on them. Another thing that annoys me is people who are in line and let their whole family get in with them while half way through the line. I dont mind like one or two people getting in but like seven people cutting in just makes me mad. Sorry if i offened anyone.

OK, my turn to chime in. I've read most of this thread, and i think some have just gone off on some posts, by misinterpreting what was written. BUT, that is the idea of this, to express opinions. (its what makes us all unique). I don't think this thread was started to point fingers at anyone in particular, just get out there a point of -if you see yourself doing this, then please stop-

My pet pieves, are

-people that won't and don't follow the rules. They think that it doesn't apply to them.
-I to have seen (and know a few) that have used wheel chairs, and they didn't need them. I find that appalling.
-children that are left to do as they please, and parents that don't care, or pretend they don't see what they are doing, is wrong, inappropriate or rude.
-the usage of cell phones or talking. (now if you NEED to take that call, please go outside, or excuse yourself if your in a crowed area, (show). I know I would. Its rude. (to the woman who's husband is in Iraq, I applaude your spouse, and your stamina (I was a marine wife too).
-people that won't give up a seat on bus. (I do, cause its the right thing to do) to those that have had to stand with a child on thier sholder, please please ask someone to allow you to sit. (sometimes others aren't paying any attention, and they don't realize you NEED relief, not an excuse just a polite reason i'm giving to them) heck I would.

Not much bothers me at WDW.

However, we just returned from a 16 day trip yesterday and I have to say that I saw more irresponsible stroller use than I have ever seen.

I have children so don't think that I don't know what it's like to push a stroller all day, but please look where you are going and slow down.

There was a family with 3 strollers who all walked side by side and really fast. My little girl was hit on Main Street (she's 7), I was hit as they were all taking a turn too fast and I got pushed against a building and then we were assaulted by the same family 3 hours later in Frontierland!

My husband and I started referring to them as the "Stroller Mafia"!

For me it would be people walking over my child's stroller with my child in it!!!!! I have had people trip over my stroller and fall on my kid!! Like we are just a problem with a stroller!!!! Thank goodness they are old enough now that they don't need a stroller, geesh!!

I know how you feel,when we were visiting MGM in March and 2 teenage girls out of nowhere jumped over our stroller with DD's in it,the second girl almost tripped.If she had she would've fallen right on top of them.

Nope, Disney is NOT just for kids! Unless you mean kids from 1 to 110. Walt designed Disney so that families could enjoy rides together, not just the kids. And yes, I would be upset if a 3 year old hit me with his sword. Why were his parents letting him swing it around in a busy park? But I would smile and be over it if the hitting was followed by an apology. If the parents just shrug their sholders, or don't apologize, then I would angry.

Just a side note to all those saying children should give up their seats to adults on a bus. I remember a while back during a post like this someone saying it might be DANGEROUS for a kid to stand on the bus as they don't have the agility to catch themselves if they are going to fall. Just saying ...

As for what bothers me ... maybe I'm oblivious but I really try not to let anything bother me (aside from my ex falling asleep at a parade -- but that's another story).

I will get annoyed cause it is not the kids fault but the PARENTS. take responsibility for your kids and don't look the other way. Tell your kid to stop. I would never step on a kids foot but if it continued I would certainly say something to the mother or father.

As for you not going to disney when the kids are older is ok, less people in the park then, but it sounds like you certainly are putting down the adults who go. It is a theme park for all ages and if you don't like it then go to Maui now. nobody is forcing you to go to disney.

First off those swords arent meant to swing around in the general public. Those are considered weapons and they do hurt when you get hit with it, even by a young child. Disney isnt the children's personal paradise. That misconception is why two posts were made and numerous trip reports of the lack of manners that young children are displaying while there parents let them run wild. No one is saying children shouldnt have a good time, hell have a blast, but follow the rules too, this isnt animal house.

I had my knee replaced at the end of January, so I'm still getting used to it. It really helps to have the grab bars to lower myself onto the toilet. So if you see someone who looks perfectly healthy, it could be someone like me who had surgery and needs help to lower herself down. Some of the regular toilets are pretty darn low.

Handicapped bathrooms are not like handicapped parking spaces. Parking spaces are meant to be occupied for a longer period of time, especially in Disney!
They are especially handy for parents with small children who don't want siad children to be wandering the bathroom on their own. Anyone can use the handicapped stall. They are just there with the needed accessories for handicapped use.
I need to have the grab bars when I use the facilities, but the handicapped stall does not need a handicapped placard. For heaven's sake, those of us who need to use the handicapped stall can wait a little bit longer if necessary. We sure wouldn't want anybody to complain that we just waltzed right in and didn't stand in line like everybody else had to!
BTW, have you noticed that the handicapped stalls are usually the furthest from the entrance to the bathroom?

I agree with that. Which is why we usually waited for the next bus so we could sit. Even in the cramped area, I had my son (80 pounds at the time) sit on my lap to give a seat to someone else. There were times he INSISTED on standing (in fact he wanted me to take his seat usually) and I would sit on the aisle and hold on to him as best I could.
My thing is, if we wait for the next bus so we can sit or if I choose to allow my child to have a seat that's my business. I don't need dirty looks. If someone who absolutely could not handle standing, probably should not enter a standing room only bus. If I can wait for the next bus, they can too. If it is that big of a deal, they can always grab a taxi or rent a car. (I know that sounds really mean, and it isn't meant that way, I promise)

My biggest Pet Peeve,,,,what ever happen to Please----Thank You----No Thank You-----Yes Please -----letting your elder or older person or pregnant women sit down on the bus -monorail (hello kids are young they can stand or sit on your lap ---and yes I have made mine do this !)-----The word Excuse me when you mistakenly walk infront of someone-----holding doors for one another ---everyday common courtesy and politeness ----not just at Disney but everywhere------not all people's children but for the most part these are the lessons lost in our society ----AS far as I am concerned your child can throw the biggets temper tantrum in the world but for crying outloud they need to have Manors----and yes this goes for some adults also----not sorry if I offended anyone I miss the properness of manors

I have to giggle everytime I hear that Disney is for kids! I started a sep. thread about this over the weekend. The Wedding Pavilion, PI, World Showcase, Food and Wine Festival, etc. of *course* it's for kids!

What is so ironic is that Walt's famous quotes about WDW are about it being for "young at heart of all ages" and that it was inspired by his sitting on a bench by a carousel and realizing that kids shouldn't be having all the fun, that there should be a place where everyone, parents, kids, solos, couples, etc. can all have that same youthful fun!

No one can go back and change that. That is how the park was created. In fact, since its creation, it has become even more adult oriented. Certainly not just for kids.

The thing that annoys me the most in WDW is when people think rules don't apply to them. When people deliberately cut lines, curse, fight, do all the things they *know* they are not supposed to do. Luckily, there are more nice people than that type.
