The Moms Panel take on the Yeti, an EE5K TR ~*~ Completed ~*~

Except for the wait at CP (what was up with that?) it sounds like a great night! :) How nice to get pressies!

so how much candy actually made it home for the girls?

Jenn and I had so much fun trick-or-treating with you and Emma! I can't believe how fast the time went by that evening! And I don't think that is all your candy in the picture...I swear your bag weighed at least 50 pounds! :rotfl2:
I had great fun too and I only ate 2 tiny things honest, I agree though it seemed much heavier than it looked :rotfl2:

We have a slight inkling but..... And it was nice :goodvibes

All but 4 bits, 2 for me 2 for Em :thumbsup2

So after all this you would have thought we'd have been called by now wouldn't you.......... nope, over an hour after our reservation time, when we were all dying of thirst and about to hit Casey's for a hot dog our name was finally called. Did these people not know who they'd kept waiting? ;) :lmao:

Sounds like the wait at Biergarten:eek:

The meal was as good as always,

WE still haven't done CP for anything other than breakfast. Will have to put it on the still to do list:thumbsup2

Sometime during this Angela (Askelton) came by for a quick chat, I also got to meet her husband Mitch for the second time which was great.

:thumbsup2

This was such a coincidence as earlier in the day at WWS I tasted my very first tootsie roll

:scared1: :faint: Are you kidding?

So did you like it:confused3

Oh my goodness, thats a LOT of candy! What willpower to bring most of it back home. I hope it didn't throw you over the 50 pound luggage limit!!

HI JO!!!

This sounds like a fantastic trip! You have befriended some great people! It sounds like MNSSHP was a hit. I'm sorry I had to miss it and you.

Great update Jo !!! So you had your first Tootsie Roll !!!! They are good but Pear drops are better!!!!!

What a fun night! You're such a good Mom to bring the candy home to your girls. We finished trick or treating about an hour ago and I've already "borrowed" several of Danielle's pieces.

Just found your new trippie Jo and I'm all caught up. Sounds like you were having a fantastic time seeing old friends and being able to be with you sister. Can't wait to hear about the rest!

Looks like such a great time Jo! I've never been to MNSSHP, only MVMCP, but I will have to put it onto the "must do" list!! Can't wait for more of your adventures!:flower3:

Honestly it was sooooooo much worse and much longer, at Biergarten the wait was because our party wasn't all there, this time we were all there :sad2:

:scared1: :faint: Are you kidding?

We don't have them here, I wasn't sure about them to start with but the more I ate the better I liked them :rotfl2: Oh it was the original chocolate ones!

Wow, I admire your control in saving nearly all the candy for the girls, what a great mum. :thumbsup2
Awww thanks and I had promised the girls and it was the only way they'd let me go :rotfl2:

I weighed it when I came home and it was only about 2.5 pounds so not as much as I thought, took us ages to eat it though, well actually we ended up giving some away to local kids for Halloween :rotfl2:

They really are fantastic and we get along so well, sorry I missed you too, fingers crossed for December!

It was fun and I did "borrow" a couple of pieces :rotfl2:

Sounds like a fun night! I'd love to try the MNSSHP sometime. Quite an impressive haul of candy, too!
It was good fun, there were also loads of special characters to meet but we didn't have time :thumbsup2

Hi Ty, just seen you have a new TR too, thanks for reading

Looks like such a great time Jo! I've never been to MNSSHP, only MVMCP, but I will have to put it onto the "must do" list!! Can't wait for more of your adventures!:flower3:
It was lots of fun, we were very lucky too as the lines for the rides and candy were very short :thumbsup2

Hi Jo! I finally started by TR. Even though I said I would start it last weekend! :lmao:

There was nothing planned for this morning, no park to visit, no schedule to keep to, nothing! So you'd think I'd lie in right? Wrong, I was wide awake by 6am and instead of annoying my sister I got dressed, grabbed the camera and refillable mugs and went to search every inch of the lodge.

There was no-one around except me and some cast members and it was bliss. I spent some time just sitting on a rocking chair over looking the Savannah watching the animals waking up whilst sipping hot chocolate. I found the flamingos behind the pool area and then searched indoors. I think I managed to open every door possible and saw all the different Savannah's, I was out walking and exploring for over an hour before I headed back thinking Emma would be awake.

Em was still dozing but that didn't last long :rotfl2: We ate some breakfast bars in our room and eventually caught a bus to Downtown Disney, again it was sitting there waiting for us, we were so lucky. The Market Place stop was shut so we had to get off at Pleasure Island, the walk to the main shops isn't long but again the heat was intense so we were glad of the air con when we did get there. We spent some time wandering around World of Disney, I only bought a 2009 magnet, then the sports and toy shop. Here I got my youngest some Tinker Bell ear-rings. Earl of Sandwich was now beckoning and even though it was only 11.30am the queue was huge. I went for something different this time and ordered the All American minus the cranberries, I also had to buy a cup cake, those things are delicious! The sandwich was delicious but I was way too full so took the cup cake home!

We did a quick trip to Goofy's where Em bought a huge bag of lime flavoured jelly beans for her husband as they're his favourite. We then made our way back to the bus and spent the afternoon chilling by the pool ready for our big race!!!!

We spent a good hour or two laying around the pool chatting, my crazy sister then went to the gym to run (she was training for the NY marathon which she completed last week in just under 5 hours) whilst I showered and got ready to head to AK for the race. I must admit I did spend a little time sitting on the balcony watching the animals eating my EoS cupcake :goodvibes

We needed to meet at the start of the race at 5pm as we were going to shoot a video all about the different races that the ESPNWWS put on each year. Quite a few of us caught the bus together and of course had to take photos......

We arrived about 4.30pm so had tons of time to work out how to actually get to the start of the race which was in the very far corner of the parking lot. As we had arrived early the bus dropped us off at the main park entrance whereas the buses later actually dropped people right by the start. It was still boiling hot but the walk only took about 10 minutes, we laughed and joked how this 5K we were meant to be doing would end up being about 10K by the time we'd finished, little did we know!!!

We had all arrived by 5pm but the camera crew were nowhere to be seen so we spent our time, yep you've guessed it, taking photos LOL

We then seeked any shade we could find and sat on the scorching tarmac chatting. It was at this point my sister arrived and realised that we had had nothing to eat, well except my cupcake, since 11.30am and as we were running in one of the later waves we probably wouldn't be eating again till 10pm. So like the good sister she is, well sometimes, she went in search of some sustenance. Whilst she was gone the film crew arrived and we finally got started, we all got into place before it was agreed the race music was far too loud and we all had to move :rotfl:

It was about now that Lou Mongello found us and had a photo taken.

It was now about 6.30pm and the filming finally started. I'd been sent my lines about a week before and although I'd memorised them it really is a different matter saying them in front of lots of people and a camera, luckily I didn't have many to say, poor Diane L though had loads of lines and some of them were very complicated. She mucked up (that's for you Diane) a few times, but so did I, and she did fantastically, I'm sure it will be a great video :thumbsup2
