The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

it was weird how we kept missing each other, i think the texts were delayed because we kept going in buildings.

I agree, they seemed to be a little delayed, and that sure didn't help.

well it looks like candi was ready for the picture she was starting to lift the skirt to show some leg for you.
:sad2: im suripised that marv didnt say anything about it.

That was so kind of her. Yeah, that's a good point...Candi's in a couple of pictures in this update and Marv didn't say anything! :confused3

my grandma calls us dandi, but she also calls candi sandy. she will run through about 5 family members names before she hits the right one for people in the family.

Your grandma knows a good celebrity-couple mash-up name when she hears one.

thanks for the pimp glenn.
:cool2:

No problemo!

:rotfl2: That was nice of you to disguise the lady doing the chicken dance/removing a wedgie (my guesses) before posting the photo. Not sure I would have done the same. pirate:

Great update! :thumbsup2

I think she's holding bicycle horns in her hands, but I have no idea why she's standing like that. I thought about just posting it "as is", but it just looked a little too embarrassing.

I was a victim of "boards maintenance" last night, and lost my post on here. I've had that happen one other time, while posting on Tim's thread. UGH!

Oh man, nothing worse than that. At least you weren't doing a major update on your thread.

Anyway, I can't even remember what I said the first time around. Just that you did quite a bit in a few short hours, and even threw in a Meet! Not too shabby.

It didn't seem like we got a lot done, I guess because it was so crowded and we weren't there very long. Oh well, we definitely made the most of it.

GO, James, GO!!! I think if you can get them on once, they'll be lifers. And just think, with this one, you didn't have to resort to buying a fluffy space alien or anything. :lmao:

I thought he was a lifer after last years' trip, but we were pretty much back to square one on this trip. Yes, he wasn't going to get to collect any bribes this time around. I didn't have any sympathy for him since he'd already done EE and RnRC last year.

That's actually not a bad guess, but I know it's not her because the rest of my family walked right by this scene while I paused and took the picture. I had to run to catch up to them after I took it.
 I don't know what genius came up with this wonderful game, but I'm starting to think the rules committee is biased against me!!! :sad2:
well it looks like candi was ready for the picture she was starting to lift the skirt to show some leg for you.
:sad2: im suripised that marv didnt say anything about it.
Actually you beat me to it! I stopped to play the game, and am still trying to decide if I want to go back and read the in-between stuff after being treated so unfairly by the rules committee!!! :rolleyes1

Besides, I know how sensitive you are to Candi's flirtatious ways, especially when it comes Glenn. Didn't want to hurt your feelings by pointing it out, buddy!

Hi Glenn! I loved your last update. Oh my gosh I was on the floor killing myself laughing over the "shower inside myself" comment :rotfl2: Glad to see James was brave enough to ride Space Mountain. It's a ride not to be missed!

That was so kind of her. Yeah, that's a good point...Candi's in a couple of pictures in this update and Marv didn't say anything! :confused3
i know i thought he was losing his edge a little.

Besides, I know how sensitive you are to Candi's flirtatious ways, especially when it comes Glenn. Didn't want to hurt your feelings by pointing it out, buddy!

 i'm just thinking that you were trying to think of something to swing for the fences and didnt come up with anything so you just went down with the bat on your shoulder.

Great update! It only took me several days to read it and then actually post but still, a great update complete with thrills and a meet to boot!

I thought he was a lifer after last years' trip, but we were pretty much back to square one on this trip. Yes, he wasn't going to get to collect any bribes this time around. I didn't have any sympathy for him since he'd already done EE and RnRC last year.

We had the same issue with Eric, it was worse on the spring break trip but he had a few wobbly moments on this one too. "I haven't gotten my roller coaster on yet" he'd say....

I thought I was doing good by being caught up and well, then I wasn't. Delayed reaction to all the travelling AKA exhausted.

I concur 6 Judy's.

Now to comment on some hilarious comments.

“Disney conditioner is the consistency of kindergarten paste.”
:rotfl2::rotfl2: Yes it is. I have done battle with the bottle. When I get some out I put water in the bottle, cap and shake. Of course if someone after me, or me for that matters forgets what I have done, the next time I goto open the cap and shake hard to get the stuff out.... it goes everywhere. :sad2:

Services guy had the perfect reply: “It feels like I took a shower inside myself”. We loved his response and laughed about it for quite a while.
I wonder what that would translate to? Still funny.

We were going to go to the Magic Kingdom this morning, but before we left we thought we should say goodbye to our next door neighbors, our friends from PChef-dom, one of Judy’s directors under her. (The lady we saved a table for on the morning of “I see red people”.) They were just beginning to stir, but came out to say goodbye, and after a few minutes of pleasantries we were off to the bus stop.
Just beginning to stir!!!! :scared1:

When I got to the fastpass machines at Big Thunder there was a guy complaining to the cast member working there. Apparently the guy was already holding a fastpass for a ride and so he couldn’t get one yet for BTMRR, but he was upset because he had gotten out of line for Splash Mountain to come over here and get a fastpass for BTMRR. The cast member just said something like, “sorry about that” and explained the time information on the guy’s fastpasses. The guy stormed off while I was getting my fastpasses, and I said to the cast member, “You’ve gotta know how the system works.” He agreed and said that it wouldn’t make much sense if you could just go around collecting fastpasses all at once. (Maybe not, but it still works pretty well if you spend your morning collecting them!)
Geesh people Learn the system. I hate when they gripe when they don't pay attention. I can't tell you how many people I heard saying" Oh gee these are not good anymore, it is past the time" I always butt in and tell then they are good until closing. Any CM will tell you that.

I started booking back across the park and in texting Dan found out that we’d missed them coming into Tomorrowland and they were now in line for Buzz, so we got in line for Space Mountain.
Another game of Magic Kingdom scavenger hunt or MK tag.

In line, James again started in with, “I’m not going to go on the ride”. At first, the girls attempted to convince him to try it, but Judy kind of whispered to them to just say “fine”. And that’s what we did. When he’d say, “I’m not going to do it”, we’d say, “Okay. That’s fine.” After all of one minute of reverse psychology (the pressure of non-pressure) he buckled and said, “All right, I’ll go on it.” Marlene turned to me and said, “I can’t believe it worked so fast!”
Judy gets a point for that one. :thumbsup2 Great Job Judy.

On our way, we passed this lady “helping” the band by playing bicycle horns. I took the picture as we walked past and didn’t even realize what she was doing. (Although, sitting here looking at it I’m not sure what she was doing!) Anyway, it looks like it could be quite embarrassing, so I put a disguise on her before posting this photo.
I will thank you for the disguise for that woman.:scared1:

Here are some pictures from the “wildest ride in the wilderness”. For once, I got to ride with Judy. James was behind us, seated by himself, and Lauren and Marlene were in the car behind him.

IMG_3212.jpg

Man, we should have taken James to the Harmony Barber Shop.

I am always afraid I will lose the camera, even though I have the wriststrap and the deathgrip on it.

As we left BTMRR I got a text from Dan that they were heading to the Country Bear Jamboree, so I told him we’d meet them there. We waited there a couple of minutes and they arrived.

Here’s the world-famous Parker.

IMG_3220.jpg

In this one, nobody was ready for the picture except Parker. He’s obviously been photographed a lot; he’s a pro. I don’t think my family even realized that they were in the picture.

IMG_3221.jpg

:yay::yay: YAY for the Dismeet.

While in line I took a picture of this chess game, still in progress since the last time I visited.

IMG_3224.jpg

Do they call this “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chess”?
:thumbsup2 Great shot.

 i'm just thinking that you were trying to think of something to swing for the fences and didnt come up with anything so you just went down with the bat on your shoulder.
That cuts deep, man! :sad1:

I have to admit I skimmed through the pictures looking for Judy's, but haven't had a chance to read that in-between stuff thoroughly AND respond, so even though I noticed Candi was in some of the pictures, I hadn't had time to focus (not basement shrine type focus, like Glenn, just what do I want to say type focus) on details yet.

Now that you guys have hijacked any potential comments on that particular picture, I guess I will just skip it now!!!
:rotfl2::rotfl2: Yes it is. I have done battle with the bottle. When I get some out I put water in the bottle, cap and shake. Can you tell I've been there too???

Aw, that stinks. BTW, if you are just going to throw them away, could I have them so I can take a picture to include in my DIS Trip Report? :rolleyes1
I am always afraid I will lose the camera, even though I have the wriststrap and the deathgrip on it.
Another relateable moment! :rotfl:

Hey Glenn! I'm back and all caught up again. It looks like James really broke out that day and is really enjoying himself. :thumbsup2

We missed BTMRR on our trip due to it being down all morning our last day. I think it's one of the best "break-in" rides for younger children who are looking for a few thrills but nothing too scary.

About the Disney H2O conditioner I wouldn't know anything about that. :rolleyes1

I don't know what genius came up with this wonderful game, but I'm starting to think the rules committee is biased against me!!!

Dang rules committee. If I ever find out who they are, I'll let 'em have it for ya.

Actually you beat me to it! I stopped to play the game, and am still trying to decide if I want to go back and read the in-between stuff after being treated so unfairly by the rules committee!!! :rolleyes1

You're such a sensitive guy.

Hi Glenn! I loved your last update. Oh my gosh I was on the floor killing myself laughing over the "shower inside myself" comment :rotfl2: Glad to see James was brave enough to ride Space Mountain. It's a ride not to be missed!

Hey Jen!

English may not have been the bell services guy's first language, but he knew how to get his concept across.

Yes, I was so glad that James finally took a little bit of a risk and that the result was good. We didn't want him to come home from the trip and regret that he hadn't tried it.

i'm just thinking that you were trying to think of something to swing for the fences and didnt come up with anything so you just went down with the bat on your shoulder.

Strikes out lookin'.

Great update! It only took me several days to read it and then actually post but still, a great update complete with thrills and a meet to boot!

I'm in the same boat. I'm usually pretty on-top of "seeing" updates, but commenting is a whole 'nother story.

We had the same issue with Eric, it was worse on the spring break trip but he had a few wobbly moments on this one too. "I haven't gotten my roller coaster on yet" he'd say....

:rotfl2: They definitely have to work up the courage.

I thought I was doing good by being caught up and well, then I wasn't. Delayed reaction to all the travelling AKA exhausted.

You are doing pretty good. You even got out an update of your own.

I concur 6 Judy's.

:thumbsup2

Now to comment on some hilarious comments.

:yay: That's the best part!

:rotfl2: Yes it is. I have done battle with the bottle. When I get some out I put water in the bottle, cap and shake. Of course if someone after me, or me for that matters forgets what I have done, the next time I goto open the cap and shake hard to get the stuff out.... it goes everywhere. :sad2:

"Battle with the bottle" :rotfl2: Sounds like something much more serious than too-thick conditioner!

I wonder what that would translate to? Still funny.

Yeah, I wonder if it's an expression in his native tongue?

Just beginning to stir!!!! :scared1:

I know! I love to sleep in, but at Disney?

Geesh people Learn the system. I hate when they gripe when they don't pay attention. I can't tell you how many people I heard saying" Oh gee these are not good anymore, it is past the time" I always butt in and tell then they are good until closing. Any CM will tell you that.

Learn the system -- Exactly! Whenever I encounter a newbie heading to the World I ask them if they know about "fastpass"...maybe the most important thing to understand.

Another game of Magic Kingdom scavenger hunt or MK tag.

I forgot that you called it that on your thread. :rotfl:

Judy gets a point for that one. :thumbsup2 Great Job Judy.

It was a great call on her part!

I will thank you for the disguise for that woman.

Poor thing probably didn't figure she'd end up on the internet.

I am always afraid I will lose the camera, even though I have the wriststrap and the deathgrip on it.

I never feel like I'm going to lose it on BTMRR. On EE, the only time that I feel like I have to keep a extra-tight grip on it is the "going backwards" part. ToT is definitely a little nerve-wracking, with the unexpected drops.

:yay: YAY for the Dismeet.

:woohoo:

:thumbsup2 Great shot.

Thanks!

Nobody commented on my “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chess” joke. Am I the three thousand four hundred and twenty seventh person to come up with that one and think that they were the first?

That cuts deep, man!

:lmao:

Dang, now we'll have to live with "what might have been".

Can you tell I've been there too???

So we all stand in the shower going, "what the ?" :headache:

Aw, that stinks. BTW, if you are just going to throw them away, could I have them so I can take a picture to include in my DIS Trip Report? :rolleyes1
Another relateable moment!

Yeah, since they're no good and all.

Hey Glenn! I'm back and all caught up again. It looks like James really broke out that day and is really enjoying himself. :thumbsup2

I thought I saw that you posted yesterday but when I was DISing last night the computer got commandeered for homework before I could get to your thread. I'll get over there soon.

We missed BTMRR on our trip due to it being down all morning our last day. I think it's one of the best "break-in" rides for younger children who are looking for a few thrills but nothing too scary.

I totally agree, a little thrilling, not too scary, and they think "I can do this!".

About the Disney H2O conditioner I wouldn't know anything about that. :rolleyes1

Uh huh.

But I really wanted to try out the jogging trail that goes around Lago Dorado, the lake in the center of the complex.
Good call - it's my second-favorite, behind the Boardwalk! :thumbsup2
You also get super-extra-bonus points for running outdoors in a FL summer. :faint: Me, I crank the AC down 5* before turning on the treadmill, lol!

“Disney conditioner is the consistency of kindergarten paste.”
:lmao: It IS!

We got to the Magic Kingdom at about 10:15 am. That’s much later than I like, but we had put in some pretty grueling hours so far on this trip and we had to pack all our stuff this morning. So, considering all that, it probably wasn’t too bad.
"Not bad"?! I'd call it fantastic! :thumbsup2

In line, James again started in with, “I’m not going to go on the ride”. At first, the girls attempted to convince him to try it, but Judy kind of whispered to them to just say “fine”. And that’s what we did. When he’d say, “I’m not going to do it”, we’d say, “Okay. I'm taking notes - I STILL can't get Leo to try it, and I just know he'd love it. :sad2:

What a great shot!

Hmm, how long does it take to boat across that lake?
:rolleyes1

wow you give up pretty easy, i was hoping we could still have a marvism on the subject at matter.

Dang, now we'll have to live with "what might have been".
i guess he just wasnt able to manup for that update.
:sad2:
and you even left it hanging there hoovering right in front of him to knock out of the park.

Good Morning !!Even though there is no way I will catch up on all my threads I am gonna say 6 Judy's Yes I know I am cheating but I had to meke a guess:rotfl2:I am going on another Freebie next year and as Kathy twisted my arm will prolly be October again !!!

Oh good! Thanks.

I'm taking notes - I STILL can't get Leo to try it, and I just know he'd love it. :sad2:

It's amazing how much of this parenting thing is trial-and-error.

What a great shot!

Thanks V!

Bah-da-dum. :rotfl:

I'm glad somebody noticed that one! :)

wow you give up pretty easy, i was hoping we could still have a marvism on the subject at matter.

i guess he just wasnt able to manup for that update.

You're really prodding him Dan! :rotfl2:

Good Morning !!Even though there is no way I will catch up on all my threads I am gonna say 6 Judy's Yes I know I am cheating but I had to meke a guess:rotfl2:I am going on another Freebie next year and as Kathy twisted my arm will prolly be October again !!!

Morning, well, afternoon now Rosie!

Good job on the 6 Judy's.

That's great to hear that you'll be going again. Sounds like this recent trip was quite a success!

Tom's report needs more traffic, so I feel the need to drum up a little business for him. It's in a Disneyland forum, and you may not venture there all that frequently, but you shouldn't miss it. You may have noticed some of SurfinTX's photoshopping skills in some of the banter here, and his TR looks like it will not disappoint in that department. Han Solo is joining Tom on his "solo" trip, and has already appeared in the first installment.

Okay, Tom...the pressure's on now.

Link ---> A Solo trip to Disneyland!

Dang rules committee. If I ever find out who they are, I'll let 'em have it for ya.
:darth:
You're such a sensitive guy.
:ssst:
Dang, now we'll have to live with "what might have been".
You two made your bed.......:rolleyes2
So we all stand in the shower going, "what the ?" :headache:
I hope this is another Candi reference, cause I'M not joining you!!! :crowded: :earseek:
Yeah, since they're no good and all.

Least I can do for a fellow Disney fan! :teeth:
wow you give up pretty easy, i was hoping we could still have a marvism on the subject at matter.
Oh don't lose faith yet, I still might rebuttal his latest TR update.....
i guess he just wasnt able to manup for that update.
:sad2:
and you even left it hanging there hoovering right in front of him to knock out of the park.
......nevermind! :(
<Carly Simon steps up to the mic> Anticipation, Anticipa-ation....
Dude, that's for ketchup, not conditioner!!!:sad2:
You're really prodding him Dan! :rotfl2:
:worship: even!
Good job on the 6 Judy's.
Yeah, but like everyone else, she failed to find the SEVENTH one!!! :worried:

It's too easy to fall behind on your thread Glen.

DANDI!!! I think we should call them that from now on. Dandi and Parker. Sounds GREAT.

Ahh, reverse psychology. Pretty effective on children. I'm glad he enjoyed it!

I bet that man at the FP machine was urged to get another FP by his partner....since he actually got out of the line at Splash to do it. Just a hunch.

Parker is ADORABLE. One of my cousins, when he was around Parker's age, would smile every time a camera was pointed at him.

I can't wait to hear about WCC! I REALLY enjoyed lunch there.

Day 5 - Part 1

As I passed other early risers on the path, I wasn’t sure if they were impressed at my gumption or disgusted by the sweatiness that the Florida humidity was pulling out of me.
I'm guessing it was the haven't had a shower yet, sweaty from running aroma swimming its way through the humidity!
Oh well, I was on vacation, and at least I’d done something to work up a sweat.
You didn't accomplish that just heading out the door, down the stairs and through the buildings? :confused3
Then I showered, dressed, and sat at the desk to write down some trip notes while the rest of my family started getting around. When you write a trip report and look back at your notes, sometimes you’ll be amazed at what you wrote.
Okay, note to self.......when I go on our upcoming trip, make notes for self!!!
So apparently I used conditioner on June 16th. I can’t wait to see the pictures of myself that day. I’ll bet my hair looks great!
Maybe something like
Today we’d be changing resorts, saying goodbye to Coronado Springs and hello (again) to our DVC home, Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
:woohoo: Movin' on uuuupp!
Once everybody got out of bed and looking alive, we downed some Pop Tarts and packed up all of our stuff.
Boy you were serious with this health kick start to the day, weren't ya?
They were just beginning to stir, but came out to say goodbye, and after a few minutes of pleasantries we were off to the bus stop.
I'm guessing you didn't need to see if any of them wanted to go on the earlier run with you......:rolleyes1
We got to the Magic Kingdom at about 10:15 am. That’s much later than I like, but we had put in some pretty grueling hours so far on this trip and we had to pack all our stuff this morning. So, considering all that, it probably wasn’t too bad.
Grains of sand, grains of sand!!! ;)
Dan (FauntleroyFan07) and Candi, who we’d had a DISmeet with at the Yeehaa Bob show earlier in the trip, were planning on being at the Magic Kingdom that morning and I wanted to catch up with them so that I could meet the world-famous Parker, their cute son with the perpetual smile.
Parker, huh? Yeah, I'm totally buying that..... :sad2:
When I got to the fastpass machines at Big Thunder there was a guy complaining to the cast member working there. Apparently the guy was already holding a fastpass for a ride and so he couldn’t get one yet for BTMRR, but he was upset because he had gotten out of line for Splash Mountain to come over here and get a fastpass for BTMRR.
Surprised he even knew how to get the first one if he didn't understand it any better than that!!!
I started booking back across the park and in texting Dan found out that we’d missed them coming into Tomorrowland and they were now in line for Buzz, so we got in line for Space Mountain.
Missed her, uh them, by THAT much!!!!
This time through the Space Mountain queue we had a little time to play some of the new videogames in the standby line.

IMG_3201.jpg
Man, that must be one intense game! Such family focus.....
As we left BTMRR I got a text from Dan that they were heading to the Country Bear Jamboree, so I told him we’d meet them there. We waited there a couple of minutes and they arrived.

Here’s the world-famous Parker.

IMG_3220.jpg
Yeah, nice cover! ;)
In this one, nobody was ready for the picture except Parker. He’s obviously been photographed a lot; he’s a pro. I don’t think my family even realized that they were in the picture.

IMG_3221.jpg

Dan and Candi.

IMG_3222.jpg
Shouldn't take much photoshop work to add to that shrine........:thumbsup2
Don't worry...it's entirely possible that by my records you have a commanding lead. :rolleyes1
By your records, DAN could have a commanding lead!!! :lmao:
Well, since there might be something to the rumor which has been running around here, that you don't have any records, I am not sure at all wether I should put any faith into that statement!! :rolleyes1
Well THERE you go!!! :rotfl2:
:rotfl:

Best smiley ever!!! :thumbsup2
Seen the one Poolrat Pat has on her TR thread???? :scared1:

I'm finally caught up!

I have to go back and comment on the last DHS update.

I absolutely love the Hat picture right before the fireworks. Should be on a postcard. You also got fabulous fireworks shots using the "leaning tree". I'll to remember that technique and that I need a better camera. I'm in the process of trying to make DH see the light on that, but since it's not broke he's not buying into my way of thinking. Might have to drop the camera before Christmas.

Mk-morning.
Wow I'm in awe that you ran on vacation in the FL heat. I save my walks/runs until night. We also have horrible humidity. Great start to your morning hitting 2 out of 3 mountains. Kudos to James for riding Space. Judy knows how to make it work. Great shots on BTMR. Rides and a Dis Meet.:thumbsup2

Looking forward to WCC.
