Hi Mrs Jobba1

We are going to chocolate musuem on our owm as we are staying in Barcelona for three nights.

As the dcl excursion for chocolate museum with tour was sold out after 40 mins!!! But it was expensive for 4 of us so we decide to do it own.

(my husband is good mood over Sunderland football):)

Yes we are going ourselves too.

 Haway the lads

Yes, we are repeat cruisers and we hope to get the choc museum at the 90 day mark. But if not we'll go on our own as we'll be in Barcelona 3 days prior to the cruise. I had read that you have to be in a group to do the workshops .That's why I wanted to book the tour with DCL.:confused3

I am in Barcelona for 7 days, I might do it, but am going to leave my time flexible as the cruise is quite a pace day to day.

The wife always says Disney is like a Miltary operation and she wants days without a plan or schdule, so As I know the DCL cruise will be hectic I have left Barcelona unplanned but have ideas, as I have been there before.

We don't have a plan for barcelona either. Just a list of places we'd like to see. But I want to do it leisurely so we don't get overwhelmed before we get on the ship. We are going going going all the time on the cruise with very little breaks, don't want to burn out before it begins!

In doing research on the chocolate museum in Barcelona, I went to their web site and discovered admission is free the first Monday of the month. This works out great for us because we are on the 8/8/07 cruise and will be in Barcelona the first Monday of August.

Glad the weblink worked out well for you.

Quite a lot of museums seem to have a free admission day early in the month

Just an FYI, We couldn't get the excursion for Village of Cefalu & Marionette show. It didn't show up and we booked at 3AM at 90 days. So anyone interested when it is your booking day may want to check it out and see if it's listed.

I have an attire question for the churches. My 12 year old son has a lot fo very long shorts, it seems to be the style this year and he prefers tshirts to collared shirts. Will he be allowed in the churches and monastaries?

Thanks,

Marie

Your son should have no problems at all it is just short skirts and bare shoulders that are not allowed.

Has anyone called DCL to see what their exchange rate, $$ to Euros, will be? I plan on getting elsewhere, but for emergency purposes, I wonder how bad it will it be?

Thanks Skallyway! He should be quite comfortable then, this years shorts for boys are very light weight and loose fitting. I'm jealous! lol

I think it will go with the exchange rate and to protect themselves against movements they will have an increased margin, I recommend Banks, ATM's etc.

Hopefully not too dumb a question, but if we get Travellers Cheques in Euros, will Disney cash them without a fee in Euros? Does that make sense?

I think thats a question for DCL, or the first Med cruisers when they get going soon.

Have read on a CRUISE MEETS THREAD , DCL will not charge a fee for converting T Chqs in Dollars.

We have taken currency travellers cheques in the past and I do not think we have ever been charged for changing them. We have some $ ones still and they are worth exactly what is on the cheque. You do sometimes have to show i.d. such as a passport to change.

Has anyone been able to book the Cefalu and Marionette Show in Palermo ?I had heard that it wasn't offered anymore ?:confused3
