Woke up at 3:45 am to get picked up by limo at 4:45. DadMc slept over last night. After our good-byes to the cats and Bailey (our dog) we are off to pick mom and dad up. Flight left at 7:15 and we landed pretty much on time at 10:15 - good flight.

Got the minivan from Dollar pretty easily and drove to DxL, well, we got a little lost on the way, but we are there in no time. Two of the rooms were ready so we go to put all the bags away and the maid is finishing up mom and dads room, they had already given them their key so we are all set on rooms. We are in Partier Place all three rooms in a row and mom and dad have a corner room. Hotel is pretty but not that outstanding.

Quick changes and we are off to MGM by 2:00. It was pretty warm today, had to have been about 80* - just perfect. Had a hard time with the cell phones trying to reach Dan so we went over to get a FP for RnR then went on TOT. Still an awesome ride and DadMc loved it so he bought the picture (first of many.) They drop you a bunch of times, last time we were here it was only two big drops. Ended up meeting up with Dan, Peg and Casey and went to lunch (they had just eaten so we just grabbed burgers and I got a foot long hot dog.) I think we all went to the Muppets from there and then pretty much hit just about everything, but we didn't get back in time for the FP for RnR. Pretty bummed as this is why we planned MGM for the first day.

They left to go see Beauty and the Beast show and me, Danny and DadMc, went and did Star Tours and Drew Cary - this was pretty cool. We ended up doing everything except animation tour, Little Mermaid and RnR. Met up with the gang and got in line at about 7:15 for Fantasmic. Got in and had great seats in Scar I think and had some more hotdogs and beer - no preshow, but the time went by pretty quickly. The show was better than I remembered. I taped the whole thing (and it came out great) and I had tears in my eyes by the end. All in all we had a great day with a Fantasmic ending! Walked out and over to the Osbourne lights. These are soooooo cool and I love lights. FIL was pretty impressed. Left MGM and got back to Hotel, Danny and Me and DadMc got some appetizers and awesome drinks at the lounge and we're off to bed by about 11:30 - exhausted but smiling!

I hope you all get another chance at RockNRollercoaster, it's awesome. :D

I was just watching my Fantasmic video the other day too. The water screens video better than I would have expected.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us, Kathy. :)

Kathymc, Thanks for the great report. Sounds like the start of a great trip.

Sorry you did not get to ride RnR. Hope you get a chance to ride before you leave.
