The MCLOVINS Hit the World - HARD!!!!! *COMPLETED*

NO I have not noticed a creepy doll!! OMG! I must find out more details about this so I will not miss it next time! See what I mean about this attraction? There is always something waiting to be found. I notice something new every time but never this doll. Now i'm 10x more excited than usual to ride again.

It's right after you back up after you're all done dropping. You're just about to turn towards the doors and the lights slowly come on. It depends on which elevator you're in, but there will be a desk on one of the sides. There is where the creepy doll sits. I try not to look at it too long.

The one time I was at WDW, I didn't go on ToT. I'm terrified of dropping rides because of my fear of falling. But after conquering another ride I was terrified of last summer at a local amusement park, I think I can take on ToT.

What I really remember is the bus ride to MGM, seeing ToT and thinking, "WOW, they have a hotel so close to the park! I wonder what it's like?" And then finding out it was actually a ride! Hahaha, I SO clueless :rotfl:

I'll be going on a night they have Fantasmic, but will already have seen it before, so I have a feeling I'll be going on RnRC over and over again. I just love coasters.

I'm watching the original Twilight Zone to get me ready for the ride. I can't wait to catch all the little things from the show that they throw into the queue!

DISNEYGIRLFRIEND! I love the new Cinderella avatar pic you have!

Oooh Sci-Fi looks neat! I remember seeing the pic of Tina Fey outside there.

Thanks for the b-day shout out! :)

I cannot wait to see the new changes to ToT. Wow! The wait was only 10 minutes for you?! How lucky is that?! I think I would have been way creeped out to be the only ones on the ride! Have you noticed the creepy doll at the end of the ride when the vehicle is getting ready to turn towards the doors?

Happy belated birthday Tinkgurl!

I also just noticed her new avatar. So pretty~

Ooooooo girl. You must, at least, walk through the queue, lobby, library, and experience the pre-show. That way you can enjoy at least part of the attraction without having to drop. Although, I would not be me if I didn't urge you to someday, somehow... RIDE!! The ride itself is much more involved than just the drops, there are places you go and things you see before you finally drop... I wish you could experience it! That is one of my favorite things about WDW - even though I'm doing something that is terrifying, like dropping, I know i'm at WDW and I know i'm SAFE. It's the feeling of getting to experience other worlds and crazy things and cultures without being terrified for my life. Though, riding ToT as many times as I have in a row, i'm surprised I haven't been sucked into the real Twilight Zone by now. If there is a real Twilight Zone. Uh... anyway!!!!!!

I want the Great Television Ride sooo bad. I bet the idea's been thrown around. I wish they'd make it happen. It would be better than Sounds Dangerous, that's for sure. Get that out of there and bring me Lucy and Ethel hangin out in the kitchen! Let's see the Friends at Central Perk. I don't need to sit there in the dark and hear bees flying around Drew Carey. I just don't.
Someday I'll get brave enough to ride TOT...Hopefully. It'll probably happen when I have a kid of my own who ends up being all, "Mommy, I want to ride". And he/she will give me a pouty face that I just can't turn down. I'll probably wind up crying hysterically and clutching my child for dear life, but at least I could say that I rode it. :rotfl:

Sounds Dangerous is terrible. Like, it's the worst. I will never understand why it's still there. And maybe I'm super lame, but I kinda think it would be cool if they were able to re-create famous TV sets that we could walk through. I mean, I know MGM isn't really about the whole production process anymore, but I think it would be awesome if they brought some of that back. Like you said, how cool would it be to get your picture taken in Central Perk? Or Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls? Or Mr. Feeney's classroom from Boy Meets World? Or if they were able to re-create the Cohen's house from The OC...OMG...I would die. Alright, I'm just going to stop now before I ramble on about all of my favorite TV shows. But yeah, basically this TV addict thinks they are wasting a BIG opportunity. America loves TV.

Amazing walk-through of ToT! :goodvibes How crazy is that, you and your mom all alone in the library? I would have freaked out! The bell hops are so creepy, I love how into character they get. Too bad you didn't get your own elevator ride. My sister and I had our own log to ourselves on Splash at night a few years ago in January and I wish I had taken a picture of our ride photo. But that was before the DIS and I didn't know what a redneck photo was

I know, it was so eerie in there just us! Even though i've seen the pre-show video 100 times, I was like *looks around me nervously* LOL!

Isn't it just so fun when you get a log/spaceship/elevator whatever all to yourself? If that ever happens for real I'm gonna actually buy the pic. Usually we just do the redneck thing too. Haven't purchased one in about 6 yrs. :cool2:

I am totally gonna save this info for next time. Thanks SOOO much!!!

YES, you MUST go on ToT on your trip next month. I am telling you... do not miss it! How amazingly done and fascinating it is trumps the scare factor! You've got to try it. It's not even comparable with those crappy drop rides at carnivals. Boooring. You will love it.

And omg! I'm happy you brought this up because I keep saying that Disney has to do a haunted theme hotel! I don't know if this is true, but I heard a rumor that there were plans to do that years ago but people thought it would be too scary and parents wouldn't want to bring their children. I guess that makes sense, but they could always make it more "silly" scary instead of truly frightening. I think the geniuses at Disney could work it out. Honestly if I wasn't so into the performing arts I'd have to be an imagineer. I have so many ideas, LOL. But really though... Imagine if you COULD stay in the actual Tower of Terror? How AMAZING would that be! It's like, the opposite of the perfect fairytale Cinderella suite at the castle.

I love Fantasmic but we had a not so great experience with it on this trip. You will read about that later on. On our next trip we will not be returning, we will definitely spend that time riding RnR and ToT. If you had never seen Fantasmic, i'd tell you to go, but since you've experienced it I say skip it. Just a tip!

Someday I'll get brave enough to ride TOT...Hopefully. It'll probably happen when I have a kid of my own who ends up being all, "Mommy, I want to ride". OH.... my ... God. I just love you more and more. You just named my TOP 3 FAVORITE TV SHOWS OF ALL TIME, which is saying something because I watch almost everything. My favorite ever is Friends, followed by The O.C., followed by Gilmore Girls. I still watch all of them regularly. I go through the entire series, whenever I have time to pop the DVD in I do. Especially Friends. Name any Friends episode/scenario/quote and I can just quote the entire thing. It's like second nature to me LOL. Yesterday I was crying over the O.C. Season 3 prom episode, I am such a nerd, still being affected by this show that ended 3 years ago but I don't care I just love it SO much! I'm waiting to pop in the last DVD of that set b/c I hate seeing Marissa die. That was one of the biggest mistakes in TV history if you ask me. Like, i'm getting angry just thinking about it. And as for GG, omg. Last week, on ABC family, Richard and Emily's wedding was on and I made a point to like make it an event to watch this because WHAT AN EPISODE. I couldn't even watch the next one in line though, Lorelai and Luke breaking up.

Yeah, i'm an obsessed with TV freak but this is my life. Show business in general. LOL.

AND I OBVIOUSLY LOVE BOY MEETS WORLD TOO ok stopping now.

No problem! :)

Wow, we really have a lot in common! I love all those shows. Boy Meets World is definitely at the top of the list. I don't know if you've ever seen it, but Danielle (who played Topanga) hosts a show called The Dish on the Style network. Whenever the show starts and she says "Hi, I'm Danielle" or whatever, I always yell back at her, "No you're not! You're Topanga Lawerence!"

OK. I'm pretty sure that we are, like, twins who were separated at birth or something. Or maybe we share a brain. But we seriously have TOO MUCH in common. How have we gone so long without "knowing" eachother?

But yes, The OC is probably my favorite TV show of all time. I love it. I could watch it over and over. And I do. My sister and I are actually planning on watching the first season while driving to and from Florida. I can't wait!! And I completely agree with you, girl. Killing Marissa was a BIG mistake. She BELONGED with Ryan. I mean, Ryan&Marissa, Seth&Summer...that was how the show was suppsed to end!!! Josh Schwartz, I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!!!

And Gilmore Girls...That show and I have a serious love/hate relationship. Like I was seriously angry about where the writers chose to take the show on a couple occassions. I mean, my poor friend had to put up with many a Gilmore-related rant from me...mainly about how Logan is the devil. Because he is. I hated him and what they did to poor Rory...Stealing a yacht? Really, writers? Plus, Rory and Jess were absolutely perfect for eachother. Siiiigh...

As for Friends, I actually just recently started getting into that show. It's AMAZING. And I don't know what took me so long. I was really missing out.

 I'm addicted, and showbiz isn't my life. Yet, at least. I'd love to write about TV. Like seriously, writing for Entertainment Weekly is pretty much my dream job. And I will make it happen. Even if I means living in a cardboard box in NYC until they hire me. I will just paint my box hot pink and cover it with glitter and be perfectly content with life. :upsidedow

Or Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls? Or Mr. Feeney's classroom from Boy Meets World?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:banana: BOY MEETS WORLD AND GILMORE GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!! That would be amazing

As for Friends, I actually just recently started getting into that show. It's AMAZING. And I don't know what took me so long. I was really missing out.

I started watching that show after it stopped airing too, in highschool. I took a media studies class and Friends won SO MANY awards and broke so many tv records. It's also the perfect example of the sitcom formula.

BTW, one of my psych profs in 2nd year looked and acted JUST LIKE Ross. I swear, everybody in the class thought so too. It was very cool

OBSESSED!! :lovestruc My friends and I quote that show at least once a day. When we're not quoting it we're referring to it..."Hey this is the exact scenario from that episode of FRIENDS"

One of my favorite traditions with my mom is Friends thanksgiving. We do a Marathon of all the Thanksgiving episodes right before the holiday! :cloud9:

Also wanted to add that I too, can't watch the Marissa episode of The O.C. I like to think that and Season 4 never happened. Except for the ending montage of the final episode

OK, you are making me wish I was on Tower of Terror right now. First time I rode it I was downright terrified and couldn't enjoy all the effects. Now I love love LOVE it and the effects are amazing. Awesome you got to ride it a few times.

hahahahaha, I knew that once Kara and I started talking about these shows, you and/or Yuki were going to jump in and say you love them too! And yes i've seen her on that show and she will always be Topanga to me too! I also saw her working on the Tyra Banks show and she is just so fun.

God, so much to address here LOLOLOL.

1. WE ARE TWINS, period. Seriously, why couldn't we grow up next door to each other or something.

2. Ryan and Marissa are my ULTIMATE couple/OTP/ship/whatever. Even more than Luke and Lorelai. It's just so tragic. I think that the OC had the staying power to still be on today, they just ruined it so much. I don't see how those writers could write the perfection that was Season 1, near perfection that was Season 2... and then go into the weirdness. Like, I still love S3 and S4, but it's like my beloved characters were plopped onto this other show or something. Once S4 came along, it wasn't the same show to me. I still loved it, but in a different way. I haven't re-watched those episodes in awhile, and i'm kind of wondering what i'll think now since they're coming up soon. You're right, it was not supposed to end how it did. I loved Seth and Summer getting married but then that moment where Ryan and Taylor look at each other like they're next. Oh my God no. Not that I can imagine Ryan with ANYONE besides Marissa, but come on. Ryan and Taylor are not married. No.

3. Logan is growing on me as I re-watch. I know, it's weird, but he's charming and rich... the ultimate deadly combination. The ultimate problem that I have with him is that he IS NOT JESS, aka Rory's soulmate. Jess would never let her get into the trouble, or put her through the trouble, that Logan has. He would encourage her to just be who she is and not get involved in any BS. He wouldn't let her jump off that 7 story contraption with him. Maybe he'd do it, but he'd make sure Rory was SAFE. That is my main problem with Logan. It's not fun for everyone to just be reckless and annoying all the time. Just because you like to constantly annoy everyone, doesn't mean you should drag Rory into it. :headache:

4. Yay for getting into Friends!! You're lucky cause you can buy the seasons now for like $14.99 at Target. I bought them when they came out originally, aka, made my parents buy them b/c I was going to die if they didn't, and they were like 50 bucks each LOL. Still sooo worth it.

5. Seriously, don't ever give up on that dream. I love that you say you'll live in a cardboard box in NYC b/c not only will you probably have to, but that's part of what I say all the time when i'm talking about my sad, desperate, need to be on camera self: I'd rather be on the streets of NYC begging for change than in a sprawling mansion out in Kansas. Ya feel me? Anyway I may only be 20 but I'm not ready to give up. Not just yet. And you can't either!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:banana: BOY MEETS WORLD AND GILMORE GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!! That would be amazing

Yuki, I knew you were gonna get in on this LOL! I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOUR ROSS-LIKE PROFESSOR. I love Ross......... so much. And media studies is like, my life. Never took a class on it but i've lived it working for some people in Manhattan and it's fascinating to me. I really do think Friends is the perfect sitcom - the mix of comedy and drama, the non-sequitur jokes mixed with running, inside jokes... the message about friendship in general is just perfect. I wish it was still going on so bad.

Ohhh, I need to watch that show! Whatever happened to all those actors on the show anyways?

Check imdb.com for info on what they've been working on. :)

I do know a few things though... Rider Strong does indie movies, Danielle Fishel is a correspondent on the style network, Will Fridele does tons of voice over work for Disney, and Ben Savage enjoys a drink or two with the cast of Jersey Shore.

I think that's why I can ride so many times in a row. I love that rush so much. Like I was saying before, it's fear but I know I'm at Disney and I'll be ok. Even the rush you get on RnR or one of the mountains is not anything like it because they are the same every time. But on ToT, the drops are random and so you never know when you're gonna do one of those tiny little ones or go up to the top and drop ALL THE WAY DOWN. God I wish I could do it right now!

I love your storytelling of ToT! It's one of my absolute favorites also!! And I know exactly what you mean about the nervousness the first time you rode! I think my fingernails were down to stubs...

Thanks girl!!!

Oh my gosh, WE DO THE SAME THING ON THANKSGIVING!!! LOL omg. I can't decide which episode is the best. I always want to say it's "The One Where Ross Got High" but there are just SO many good Holiday ones. Not too long ago Jennifer Aniston said that if there is ever a Friends reunion she would like it to be a Thanksgiving episode, which would just be GENIUS.

As for the OC, I like Season 4 but it just wasn't the same! I mean, I LOVE those characters, so anything with Ryan, Seth, Sandy, Kirsten, Summer, Julie, etc... I would watch. But it just was not the same show. :( I'll never get over it and I don't even care how lame that makes me!

OK, you are making me wish I was on Tower of Terror right now. First time I rode it I was downright terrified and couldn't enjoy all the effects. Now I love love LOVE it and the effects are amazing. Awesome you got to ride it a few times.

That is my goal!! ;) But yeah, I think the first time anyone rides that it's just TOO overwhelming to really appreciate how well done the whole thing is. I mean I was 10 the first time but even for an adult it's just so scary. It really is. But then you get over the initial "WHAT THE F IS HAPPENING" feeling and get to noticing all the amazing details!

THANKS FOR READING EVERYONE!!

And mods, if you are paying attention to my drivel, sorry about the extensive TV talk, I promise we're gonna keep this on track with an update soon! Thanks!! :dance3:

Its true the Thanksgiving eps are golden!! Everytime I watch one, I go "thats my favorite!" but I think TOW Ross Got High is tops, Second tops is TOW The Football.

"What's with everyone?? its Thanksgiving, not TRUTH DAY!"
"I wasn't supposed to put beef in the trifle!"

"Corey" looks like he was having a bbbbllllllaaaasssstttt with the Jersey Shore crew. ;) :rotfl:

"The mailman didn't steal your Playboys, dad! ROSS DID!"
"HURRICANE GLORIA DIDN'T BREAK THE PORCH SWING, MONICA DID!!!!"

And I love the football moment where they're in a huddle and Phoebe says, "Ok, so what do you guys really think of Chandler?"

"Corey" looks like he was having a bbbbllllllaaaasssstttt with the Jersey Shore crew. ;) :rotfl:

It seems as though he is having a better time in that picture than I've had in my whole life to be honest LOL.

Aww I miss Boy Meets World! I wish Disney still aired the episodes.

OfCOURSE I'd get in on this! Haha, it's like we're all a bunch of sisters here.

One thing I learned in the media studies class is that if the show is getting less than stellar ratings, a pregnancy happens. If you study where ratings start to drop and when one of the characters gets pregnant, they're almost directly related. Pretty cool, huh?

Wow...."Corey" looks so old.....

hahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Hahahaha I love Phoebe. I once took a Friends quiz and I was most like Phoebe :cool1:
