Day 7, Part 2 In Which The Sprouse Twins Confuse Me (Even More Than Usual)
When we last left off, my mom and I were running around the Yacht & Beach Club like maniacs in search of breakfast. It didn't work out.
Usually when I run around like a maniac, I ALWAYS get utterly fantastic results.
So that was weird.
We were disappointed and stressed and sweating, but not totally deflated. I mean, it's Disney World. Someone would have to literally kill me to even slightly bum me out for like a second. And even then, i'd be like, "Well, at least I died happy at my favorite place. Not a bad way to go."
As you can see, my obsession with Disney World is quite sick.
But we'll deal with my issues later! Enough about me - more about food!
We were starving at this point. I thought about going back to MGM to use some Toy Story Mania fastpasses we had picked up earlier and just grabbing something there, but let's be real here: unless you go to the Brown Derby, if you want REALLY good food, it's not happenin' at MGM. Or Disney's Hollywood Studios. Whatever the kids are calling it these days, it sadly doesn't have a Le Cellier.
So we went to Wolfgang Puck Express.
Yes, again.
For the third time this trip. THREE TIMES!!!
Here's the thing about eating at Disney. I agonize over our ADRs every single trip. It is a constant tug of war between places we love and must visit again VS new places we want to try. There are never enough days to do it all. And there never will be. Because of this, I would NEVER schedule the same restaurant three times in one trip. And I didn't, but we just kept ending up at WPE because it is That. Freaking Good.
*music swells*
If you could see it, then you'd understand... oh when you see it, yeah you'll understand....
Yeah, I actually just quoted a Coldplay song. Let's not even talk about it.
Instead, I shall remind you of our favorite dishes (I already posted these pictures but let's be honest, this is the kind of thing that calls for multiple viewings)
Ok, so that's the Four Cheese Pesto Pizza and I must add a WARNING to go along with it!!! There are many Wolfgang Puck Express restaurants at airports throughout America. BUT DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! Because they may not exhibit the same life changing food as the WPE at Downtown Disney. I have only been to the one at the Indianapolis airport, though, so I don't know if it was just THEM or what, but I got the Four Cheese Pesto Pizza and it SUCKED!!! Really! I was shocked because, as I have said many times, the pizza and all the food at the Disney WPE is earth shatteringly good. So my point is, if you have crappy food at a different WPE, you still MUST visit the Disney World one for the REAL deliciousness!
And the mac & cheese. It is the best you will ever have.
Getting to Downtown Disney from the Beach Club was a way bigger predicament than you'd ever think, which is reason #983204982390482 why there is no chance of us doing this without a rent-a-car again. But anyway!!!! We chowed down and then headed for a lil' break at the resort before tackling the World Showcase.
I tweeted:
Why are the Sprouse twins going to school on a cruise ship on this show? This is complex. 4:12 PM Apr 17th via txt
I still don't know.
Soooo off to Epcot we went! The plan was to do some major World Showcasing, but of course first we had to go check on our Frogfish friend.
YES, again.
Basically, if Disney World was just The Seas With Nemo and Friends, Wolfgang Puck Express, and Le Cellier... we would still go just as much.
If not more.
You may remember him (if you don't, you're a FOOL!!!! HE IS THE BEST!!!) from earlier in the report.
Did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be. I can fly higher than an eagle, you are the wind beneath my wings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May or may not have sang that to him. OurFrogfishFriend. I just love him.
He's the best, obviously, but we pulled ourselves away from him long enough to check out some of the other creatures too, yes AGAIN, because we are obsessed with animals in general and my mom wanted to be a marine biologist as a child so she was asking the CMs like 4,000 questions...yes, again. This is just how we do Disney.
I thought this starfish looked kind of menacing hidden under the sand like that:
I am kind of fascinated by sea urchins, mostly because I fear them. I mean they just hang out, minding their own business and yet they can actually freaking kill you if you step on them. Which is super cool because it gives off this awesome DON'T MESS WITH ME vibe but kind of in a passive agressive way. Like dude, I'm not gonna swim up all RAHHHH and eat you while you're swimming or anything, but if you step on me I'm gonna have to mess you up a little so STEP BACK. The other crazy thing is that people EAT THEM!?!??! I know they eat anything/everything in various parts of the world, and excuse my tiny American brain, but EW, dude. Ew.
Anyway I took this video of it just because the way it moves freaks me out:

We kept saying we were going to check out the upstairs at the Seas later on in the trip, and sadly it was getting pretty late in our trip, so upstairs we went!
There is not a lot of action up there compared to downstairs, mostly because of the lack of talking sea turtles and clamshells you can fit humans into, but you can stand and watch dolphins for as long as you want so that's pretty cool. Also, I know they have presentations up there from time to time, so I really hope to catch one of them one of these days.
I took this video of the dolphins just because they are SO INSANELY CUTE:

I love when they swim belly up like that. They just look so happy. I hope they really are, I hate to see animals in captivity. But as I've said before, I trust Disney to take good care of them.
They also have giant sting rays in there:
The size of that thing is both awesome and horrifying.
I kept trying to spot Hidden Mickeys in all the coral/sea life in there but I don't think there are any...
About 16 hours later, we finally were able to pry ourselves out of The Seas to start the World Showcasing.
As you walked from Future World to World Showcase, there was a beautiful Disney Oceans display:
Because of the Flower & Garden Festival, they had these awesome kiosks set up around WS that sold awesome gardening supplies. I don't even garden, but I wanted to buy like everything, especially this awesome flower hose thingy:
