The MCLOVINS Hit the World - HARD!!!!! *COMPLETED*

I've returned! SOOO MANY posts to catch up on man!

And YES!! COME TO CANADA!!!!!!! More specifically, Toronto. And I'll give y'all a tour!!

I'm going to try to get a dinner ADR the next time I go with my sister, in 2012. Hopefully it'll be easier now that it needs 2 TS credits??

Speaking of, I was on the disney bus, on my way to AKL, when I overhead two dads (about 40-50yrs old) talking about Le Cellier and the 2ts credits and so on. It make me wonder if they were Dis Dads..... I looked for a LGMH but didn't find any...

"Dave" is so awesome. Yes, Canadians are super nice like that. Special reservations

I had the pretzel in Germany. With Gulden's spicy brown mustard. Andrew and I FELL IN LOVE with that stuff. But they're only sold in the States! Our next trip to Niagara Falls, we're hopping over the border and buying us some mustard.

I should start my TR soon...

HI ALL!! Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I want you to know I really appreciate all my replies I get every time. :) Expect a new update of the bizarre way home from Epcot either tomorrow or the next day!!

I am literally drooling after those photos. I LOVE LE CELLIER! What a magical meal you had! That pink steak looks amazing.

It was absolutely to die for =)

First of all, you're right about Canadians rocking. I need to find myself a Canadian man. Who can make cheddar cheese soup.

Secondly,

OMG. FOODGASM. FOODGASM. FOODGASM. *dead*

The picture of the soup is the most glorious picture in the history of ever. They should hang it up right next to the Mona Lisa, it is *that* wonderful. People will come from all parts of the world to contemplate the meaningfulness of the fact that all of the little pieces of bacon are co-existing peacefully in a wonderful world of cheesey goodness.

I don't know what to say about the steaks except GAAAAAH.

And the moose? Oh, how I love those moose. Mooses? Meese? It's cute and it's food. Those are my two favorite qualities in, well, just about anything.

I can't wait to hear about the bus absurdity. I love absurdity. Especially when it occurs on a bus. :upsidedow

I was thinking that I need a Canadian too!!!

I call Ryan Gosling.

tumblr_l19g4uyTXD1qzsljko1_400.jpg

Ahem.

Anyway. I agree about the soup picture being the best picture ever. Did you know if you stare at it for long enough you can actually feel it go down your throat and into your tummy? Yep, it's like that Wonka gum that turns Violet violet!!

I do believe it's Meese. But who knows? Really.

You're going to die when you hear about the bus thing. It is by far the silliest thing to ever happen to me at Disney World, but it felt very familiar at the same time because weird things happen to me all the time. The storm cloud of insanity that hovers above my head at home follows us to WDW I guess.

OMG Lia this update is epic. It sort of makes me want to cry because I miss Le Cellier so much and how I wish we had one in NYC.

The picture of the cheese soup is perfection. I agree with Kara, it needs to be framed and put behind glass so we could marvel at it forever

I still have yet to try the mousse but if I get my butt back there before Le Cellier becomes signature dining I am definitely getting it for dessert!

Aww! Well, here's the thing. Even though I do wish I could have Le Cellier any time, if there was one in New York I would be roughly the size of a mack truck. For sure. Having it at Disney makes it more special and less lethal.

YES! You must get the moose!! Next time we want to try the Smores, but still get the moose cause it's just too good to pass up!

I enjoy this! :thumbsup2

Awesome food pics! I had my heart set on getting the mushroom filet when I get to eat there............but you're mom's looks faboo as well!! Plus something about the words "cream cheese mashed potatoes" cause all sorts of naughty ideas of their deliciousness to pop into my head.

So......what is on the outside of the "moose". It looks weird lol. I'm leaning more towards the maple creme brulee (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmaple), but the moose intrigues me.

My mom's was incredible, better than mine. But remember, you can always get the filet with mashed potatoes instead. Just ask :) I may do that next time.

On the outside of the moose is chocolate crunchies, kind of like the crunchies that come on the inside of an ice cream cake, but they're smaller. DEEE-LISH!!

You got my meal! I LOVE the soup. I LOVE the risotto. I LOVE the chocolate moose. All good choices. :thumbsup2

Great minds think alike, Tinkgurlfriend!!!

OMG, I am sooooooooo glad that I've been on a DIS break because if I had had to wait between Le Cellier updates, I think I would have died. For realz.

The Dave story was awesome. So cool that you had a Le Cellier VIP hookup. Loved the Dave fangirl too. :lmao:

OMG, PRETZEL BREAD, CHEDDAR CHEESE SOUP, AND MUSHROOM RISOTTO!!!! I am sooooooo hungry after reading all that, which is not good because my mom and I are on this super-strict diet. I'm trying to look on the bright side though...once I'm about 20 pounds thinner, I won't feel bad for gorging myself at Le Cellier...possibly during our Nov/Dec trip.... :rolleyes1

YEP THAT'S RIGHT, WE HAVE BOOKED A TRIP!!!!! I'm so excited!!!! :cool1:

While I'm down there, I can pass out the "Girls of the DIS" calendar if you want, get some buyers, you know...have your people call my people. ;) If there are still modeling spots available, I think I would like to do a Halloween pose, has October been booked yet? :rotfl:

Also, since we're all a bunch of 90s nerds (AND PROUD OF IT!!!!!) around here, I have to squee because I am going to see the Backstreet Boys in concert this weekend for the first time ever. Despite my UNDYING love for them when I was twelve or so, I never made it to a concert because my parents never had the spare cash for a concert back then. I figured you would understand my geekiness. :rotfl2:

Can't wait for the next update and more McLovin shenanigans!

P.S. VERONICA MARS FOR THE WIN!!!! OMG, I miss her soooooooo much.... :sad2:

Oh I love your replies. CONGRATS ON HAVING THE TRIP BOOKED!!! Amazing!!

Good luck on your diet. I'm on one too...uhh... again. Forever. I guess. I HATE SHOW BUSINESS!! I mean....I love it. :) Let's discuss my issues later. Anyway, have you tried "Naked" drinks? They're all natural and DEEELISH. My favorite is Mighty Mango and Blueberry Pomegranate. I think? But they are great and soo healthy and very filling. They help. :)

Girl I appreciate the offer but GIRLS OF THE DIS calendars are already on backorder, so there is no need to garner up more buyers. I doubt I'll even have the time to print up enough. Like I said, this calendar is overtaking Playboy.

You can absolutely join the calendar but I believe Halloween is taken? Who called Halloween?!

Yay for the Backstreet Boys concert! I'm sure you'll have an amazing time. :) I was always more of an *NSYNC gal myself, but I loved BSB too and still listen to them once in awhile. I hear BSB and NKOTB are doing a tour together and everyone is freaking out about that. Should be cool!!

Yay another VMARS fan! I miss her too. :( Sheesh.

The food looks delish! Glad it didn't disappoint!

:woohoo:

Aw that's such a sweet note!

I am glad Le Cellier lived up to the hype! That cheese soup does look good!

I know, isn't he a sweetie? And a lifesaver!

HOLY CRAP YUKI'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

You get your own post, Yuki!! DID YOU HAVE THE MOST MAGICAL TIME EVER? ?? omg, I can't wait to read your TR.

I love the overheard conversations on the Disney busses. Everyone is talking about AKL or Cinderella Castle or Chef Mickey's or whatever. I always wonder who is a Disser.

Ahhhh!! THE PRETZEL!! So glad you loved em.

Start your TR NOW, please!!! :yay:

BTW, it's just moose. The plural for moose is moose. As in, "Hey, look at all those moose over there."

I HAD THE MOST AMAZING TIME EVAAAR!

I'll be starting my TR soon, so I guess keep an eye on my signature?

It looks so empty now that I don't have a ticker.....

Thanks for clearing that up but I think I will still use MEESE for dramatic effect.

Hey girls! I just wanted to let y'all know that I started my TR! The link is in my signature.

Lia must be super busy, haven't heard from her in a while, eh?

*Mouth open in sheer disbelief of the events of your last two chapters*

I'm so jealous right now. Like, consider my mind officially BLOWN. It's truly mind-bottling (like from Blades of Glory...I hope you know what I'm talking about :rotfl:)

*Le sigh* The closest I'm gonna be able to get is hope the rumors are true and you can order the cheddar cheese soup and the breadsticks at the podium at Le Cellier. I'll let you know ;)

I cannot WAIT for you to write about your way home...the bus rides back to the hotel are always one of my favorite parts of the day. You really get to see so many people's true colors...and there's no better people watching space anywhere, haha!

Omg, I have to get over to your TR right now!! Then I will update this :)

Of course I know what you are talking about. Will Ferrell is my spirit animal so I have logged everything he has ever said in my mind.

Those rumors are true but it just depends on whether or not you get a nice person and they aren't too busy. So, it's kind of a crap shoot.

Yay, I will be updating soon!!

Day 1, Part 6 ........ I Have No Idea What To Title This, Because What Happened Was Just That Weird.

When we left Le Cellier, all of Epcot was closed. I really wished we could've hung around World Showcase for a bit but I knew that there would be major World Showcasing later on in the week (and hopefully, YEAR) so I was ok with it.

Sigh. It really sucks not being at Disney World, guys. Brb crying.

4955082803_36f71c54c0_b.jpg

Ok let's move on!

By the time we got to the bus area, there was almost no one around. Therefore, there were almost no lines. We went to sit on the bench that was in conjunction with the CBR line, which no one was in. A few resort busses came and went, no CBR. Another family sat on the bench next to us. They were going to CBR too.

We sat. And waited. A long time. Pretty much every other bus had come. Sheesh. My mom asked if we should say something to one of the few CMs around. She was worried they would just leave us there. I assured her that Disney would never just leave guests sitting outside the park and they have to make sure everyone is gone.

After awhile, a CM, clearly annoyed, came over to us and asked us if we were waiting for some weird bus that went to some weird place. I can't remember what it was, but it wasn't Disney. My mom and I, and the other family said at the same time that we were going to Caribbean Beach. Another family, a couple with a toddler, had joined us too. They said they were going to CBR as well.

"Caribbean Beach?!" He yelled in horror, "You're not standing in the line. You have to STAND IN THE LINE!"

"Oh... we--"

"YOU HAVE TO STAND IN THE LINE!"

"Thanks," I said. "I heard you. We didn't know."

In a tone that announced what idiots he obviously found us to be, he barked, "If you're not standing in the line, how do you expect us to know that you need a bus?!" and stormed off.

I don't like rude people but I do know that no rude person is just rude because it's fun for them. I don't know this guy and who knows what's going on with him. Maybe he's had a bad day, week, month, year, life. What do I know? So when people are like that towards me, unless they go out of their way to get personally mean, I try and just be nice to them and not stoop down to the nastiness level. The other family and us exchanged looks and went to stand in the line. In less than five minutes, the CBR bus had arrived.

So, lesson learned - even if you are sitting on the bench in the numbered section of your resort, Disney doesn't know that you need a bus there. You NEED to be standing in the line even if no one else is in it. It makes sense, but I didn't even think of that. None of us did.

We boarded the bus and it was one of those Disney bus drivers that is jolly and happy and loves his job, even way past park closing. It was a refreshing contrast from the rude CM we had just encountered. This was the kind of bus driver that will provide you with true(ish) Disney facts and regail you with magical stories.

He also may enjoy smoking. And I don't mean tobacco, folks.

Our driver was either A.) Incredibly silly naturally and VERY tired, or B.) High as a freaking kite.

I AM NOT MAKING ACCUSATIONS. I am not saying that this man was under the influence. I am not implying that Cast Members come to work on drugs. I'm saying he spoke, acted, and drove like he enjoys various substances. I'm just... saying.

It was an interesting journey. We were driving to CBR... I think. Well, we were on Disney property at least. I knew that. I think.

He started talking to us about stuff in a very low, mumbly tone, yet still chipper. It's hard to explain exactly what he was telling us because I really have no idea. Also, the spiel that plays on the busses was either broken or he was playing with it, because a short clip of audio would play and it would be the wrong one. And then it would stop. And then some Animal Kingdom spiel would come on. But only for five seconds. And then it would stop. He apologized and apologized. Oh, and you know that little screen that red text appears on at the front of the bus? Randomness up there too.

By the middle of his third story (please don't ask me what he was saying, though at one point he loudly exclaimed, "and THAT'S how you do it!" and my mom looked at me and said "how you do....what?"), I was cracking up. One of the families had gone to sit all the way to the back of the bus so they REALLY couldn't hear. The mom kept looking at me like "WHAT is going on?" I gave her the "Beats the heck out of me" look back. My mom and I kept exchanging looks that said we were half amused, half concerned.

The funniest part was the other family that sat right across from us. They were from Brazil and though they spoke English, it wasn't perfect. I think at first they thought they just didn't understand him, before finally realizing that it wasn't them who were out of the loop. It was the driver who needed a lesson in speaking.

At one point the Brazilian woman said, "Excuse me? Excuse me? Um, you are taking us to... The CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT, right?" They were probably scared that he was going to end up taking us to some horrifying place, like Universal. He replied, "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS MA'AM! Caribbean Beach Resort! Right up here!"

Mom and I were holding back explosive laughter at this point. The Brazilians were just so worried. They had no idea what was going on at all. To be fair, neither did we really. I could tell from looking out the window that CBR was not right up anywhere, but I bit my tongue. I kind of just wanted to wait and see what happened. Even if we did up at Universal, maybe Disney would be embarrassed and we would get lifetime ADRs to Le Cellier or something. I DIDN'T KNOW, okay? I was just going with it. I was a bit worried though. His driving seemed a bit... erratic? I wouldn't say that I truly felt IN DANGER, but I also felt like I was on LSD so take that however you want to.

By the way, it had also started raining, which confirmed to me that we were actually being taken to A.) Wonderland, B.) The Land of the Lost, C.) The Twilight Zone, or D.) A black hole in the middle of space.

So the trip was going something like this now:

My mom: Where are we?

Me: Like I know.

Thunder: BOOM! CLAP!! BOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Bus Driver: *mumble mumble* TWENTY YEARS AGO! *mumble* You just never know with these kinds of things, you know? *mumble*

Thunder: BOOM!!!!!!!

Brazilians: *staring straight ahead and holding their child tight with a look of terror*

Me: This is the best night of my life quite frankly.

Thunder: BOOM BOOM BOOM

Bus Driver: Walt Disney!

FINALLY, I started seeing things that made it clear to me that we were in fact nearing CBR. Thank you Jesus. Another Universal visit avoided!

At this point the bus driver, or as I like to call him, Jeff Spicoli said, "Okay, folks! Because there are only a little bit of you, I am not going to stop at all the bus stops. I will call out the names. If you need me to stop there, shout 'YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!' and throw your arms up when I say the name. Ready? Okay! ARUBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I was in stitches. Please note that his volume level was going up and down. So you'd barely able to hear part of what he said, and then suddenly there'd be a very loud "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!" thrown in. The Brazilians were looking at me in horror. The family in the back were yelling "WHAT?" over and over as he tried to explain what he meant. My mom was laughing. I tried to stop and explain to the Brazilians what he said. Then I yelled to the family in the back. Finally after about 5 minutes of the bus driver, my mom, and I trying to explain this, everyone understood.

Bus Driver: Ready? Okay. ARUBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Family in the back: WHAT???????

My mom and I: ARUBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Silence.

Bus Driver: Okay, no one's at Aruba? JAMAICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Brazilian couple paused. Looked at each other. Looked at me. And haphasardly said, "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay."

Bus Driver: I can't hear you!

Brazilians: ..........Yaaaaaaaaay?

Family in the back: WHICH ONE?

Me: (cackling) JAMAICA!

Brazilans: Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Bus Driver: I can't hear you!!!!!

Brazilians: Yaaa..aaaaaaaa................y????????

Bus Driver: OKAY! We will stop at Jamaica!!!! Next. MARTINIQUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom and I: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bus Driver: That's what i'm talkin' about! OKAY!

Family in the back: WHAT?

My mom and I: MARTINIQUE!!!!!

Family in the back: Yes!!!! YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Bus Driver: OKAY! Next! Trinidad North!

My mom and I: That's it! That's everyone.

Bus Driver: OKAY! So we're stopping at JAMAICA AND MARTINIQUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *incoherentness*

As we approached CBR I half expected him to pass it. Luckily, I was wrong. We all got back safe and sound. Thanked the driver for the... interesting ride. He was very nice and went on and on about what a good night he wants us to have and all that. We bid Spicoli adieu and the mom from the family in the back turned to us.

Mom from the family in the back: That was... weird.

Me: Yeah.

My mom: What was he on?

Mom from the family in the back: Whatever it is, I'd like some of it. Anyway nice meeting you!

Up next: The best day we've ever had at Animal Kingdom.

p.s. I promise to update more frequently as I am hoping and praying that 2 months from this very moment I will be at WDW and I have to finish this thing so I can start a new one!! LIFE!!! So strap yourselves in cause we need to white knuckle this puppy!! :dance3:

OMG, I am laughing so hard I am CRYING!!! That is the most hysterical story!! You described it so well, I felt like I was right there with you. Glad you made it back safely!

Lia. Ohmigosh. I am CRYING. Legit. Laughing so hard that my stomach hurts and tears are rolling down. My family sitting on the couch has told me to stop multiple times, I must look like a freak. I think I just died a little bit. SO FUNNY. You portrayed it perfectly.

HAHAHAAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. OMG.

So, I can assure you that whenever I've had a bad day or whatever, I shall come back to this post and read it again and again... maybe I'll print a copy and keep it on my nightstand to read every night. Unless that would be creepy, just let me know.

:D

So, it's been a while since I've posted, so again I'm Brooke in case you forgot haha. But no worries, I've DEF been reading along! So, I'm gonna go read this again and see if it has the same effect on me. Thank you for making my night HAHA I really hope something like this happens to me on my next trip to Disney World.

Hi Brooke! Yes I remember you. :) I'm so glad you got such a kick out of the post and it really makes me happy that you said you'd refer back to it if you were having a bad day...what a compliment. Hope I can cheer ya up in that situation! Thanks for reading along =)

Okay, this update calls for:

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

ALL the laughing smilies. That was the most hilarious story ever. I only wish I had been there.

Well...if he WERE on some sort of...substance.....you would've been able to at least smell it on him....well,the one that gives off a smell that is.

HILARIOUS. I do feel sorry for the Brazilian family. Imagine the story they'll be telling their family and friends when they get home. :rotfl2:
