I know, I've been away from the DIS for so long that I was starting to get the shakes. Seriously, shame on me!!

Sad you weren't able to get into BLT, but it sounded like you guys really enjoyed SSR during your last trip. Plus, you can take one of those super cute Mickey head pictures again (love it!). Why does Tim like being so close to DTD...to trade?

We always rent a car and we love it! So much nicer to have your own transportation to rely on.

So we finally make it to the Animal Kingdom. This was the only day we made it there. I have to do a full say there in January because I have to see the Nemo show! There is so much more I want to do there too.

Anway.. it was only like a 2 minute bus ride to the AK from AKL lol. I wish they had a walk way over to AK from there. That would be cool.

When we got there, the characters were out. I love these guys because they are all so cute.

First stop Was Expedition Everest!! YAY!!

We grabbed a FP when we got there.

Ok so because I'm an idiot, I did not change my flip flops. So by this time, my foot is killing me. Like I'm limping at this point lol. Horrible. Every store we passed while we walked to the safari, I had to look for a comfortable pair of flip flops. Of course all I find are crocs. Yeah that's not going to work lol. Oh well.

The owl was out when we passed flights of wonder. This is something I plan to watch next time I come here.

The wait for the safari was non existent lol. It said 10 mintues, but we waited no minutes haha.

I think when we went on I met another diser lol. Yeah i did. Please forgive me if you are reading because I forget your name, but it was nice to meet you and your DH.

They were on their honeymoon. Very nice couple.

We headed back to EE. Took a different route. We walked through the tree of life trails or whatever the heck they are called lol.

WOW great day you do need a full day at AK so much to do. I left early when I was there it was so hot and my traveling buddy wanted to go to the pool but we did the major stuff we wanted to do except Kali Rapid because I was sick.

I hate being sick in Disney I didn't do the water rides or the pool . Anyways looks like fun I like all your animal pictures. I will remember the Left side on my trip.

I remember last time we visited AK we didn't wait for the safari either, we just walked straight on. I don't know if thisis a sign of it getting less popular or something, but I thought it was odd...

When we got to EE, the wait was only 25 mins.

Ok so this was the fastest FP ever LOL. We walked right on the ride lol.

YAY!

Fun fun. Love that ride. I don't think it made Tim sick.

I wanted to go on Dinosaur next so started walking there, but Tim says where are you going? Lets go to camp minnie & mickey. He had to go see Donald.

We left after that. When we were walking back to the room I spotted another giraffe.

When I opened the door to the room was when I got Tim's surprise. He had Disney floral decorate the room. I knew it LOL!! I had a feeling this was what he was going to do. This wwas why Tim did not let me have cake when we brought it back to the room. He wantesd wait until the room was ready LOL.

Disney floral did a great job decorating the room. Here was what the bed looked like. It's not the best picture, but I wanted to capture the lighting with just the candles.

He got me a dozen long stem roses

Oh SSR looks so pretty! We loved being close to DTD when we stayed at POFQ.

It is absolutely beautiful there. Being close to DTD is a plus.

Yeah. We are going in Jan for the race. I'm doing the half marathon down there. Also going for a meet with a bunch of my dis bride friends. Can't wait to see them all. Some of them are running in the marathon too.

Yeah you got it. He loves being close to DTD. I love SSR. Love the food court, the gym, the pools, the walks to DTD. It is so beautiful and peaceful there.

Now when you rent a car do you pick it up at the airport or when you get to Disney? Tim told me that they have cars at Disney for you??? Don't know where he got that idea.

Awwwww...how sweet is Tim?! That was extremely romantic and so cute. Love what Disney floral did.

You can pickup a car at the Car Care Center (over by MK), at the Dolphin or over at the Buena Vista Palace near DTD. We always just pick ours up at the airport. It takes out the fun of doing ME, but it's just easier for us.

Oh Lynn that was so romantic of Tim! How sweet! I have a weird question about it though. Disney floral is doing the flowers on the bed for my honeymoon and I don't know what to do in regards to cleanup. Do I scoop them up and throw them away myself or does Mousekeeping vaccum them

Love the animal pics...expedition everest, while your pics were really good..that ride gives me the WORST motion sickness...even looking at the pictures brings me back to feeling sick!! Good for Tim not being ill on it!!
