The May 2007 Rate/Code Watch

I hope the codes work for you all. They didnt work for me. I called my travel agent with the code, now she just called back and said it was not available for my room at the Contemporary. To get the code I would have to upgrade to a better room and in the end I would still end up paying more!!

I cant believe that the code doesnt work for a standard room!

Can I tell you all how much I LOVE Dreams Unlimited?

I just saw the info about the code, and e-mailed my DU agent. I decided to check my reservation for the fun of it, and the discount had already been before I even sent the e-mail.

Dreams Unlimited ROCKS!

:confused3 It worked on a standard room at POR.

My package with AAA is:

POP Century 7 night Preferred Room
7 day park hopper
water and more
dining plan
$2841.67

I spoke with Disney this morning:

No POP rooms available for the ZFC code but there was an All Star Sports

with the code and everything above it would be $2762.02

Only a savings of $79.65 and I wouldn't be able to stay at POP.

So this doesn't work for me darn it all.

I hope everyone else has better luck.

Okay, somewhere on here I read where somebody was quoted a price today of about $1600 for a family of four (2 adults, 1 Child, 1 Infant) for 7 nights at Pop WITH the DDP and the special WP and PH option). Then on this thread I see where somebody is paying around $2600 for 2 adults and 2 kids 8 nights at POP. This doesn't seem right to me that it would be $1000 more for an extra child and one extra night?

I did go to Disney's site and get a quote...it was $1700 for 2 adults, 1 child, 7 nights at POP WITHOUT the DDP.

Anybody have an idea of why there is such a range of pricing here?

I'm just trying to figure it out while I anxiously await my quote from DU. They must be SWAMPED today!!

this was me,
Ok, here's my situation, hope this gives you guys some idea....2 adults, 1 child age 4, 1 infant.

Values, std...7 nights, one day ticket $1611.76 with dining plan.
Mod's, std....7 nights, one day tocket $2128.08 with dining plan.
Deluxe, WL or AKL....7 nights, one day ticket $3112.00 with dining plan.

now to crunch the numbers....

Hi May Disney Vacationers!! I have a question a little off topic. I'm an Annual Passholder and just saw the new promotion available for AP, PAP and DVC Members. If you purchase a multi club pleasure island ticket from now until March 30th you get unlimited admission to pleasure island until June 30th. I'd love to take advantage of this offer for my May trip. Is there a way to purchase Pleasure Island Tix online???

I have an Annual Pass question. I bought a non-expiring park hopper last summer from Undercovertourist before the prices went up. I haven't used it yet. It's still sealed in the plastic it was shipped in. Can I "upgrade" or "trade" for an AP? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that you can. Actually, that's one of the best strategies that I've heard of. I was talking to someone in another thread and they were saying that they wanted to do the DDP but they were buying AP's. As you probably know there is no way you can get the DDP unless you've got a vacation package. So what they did was buy 2 day no expiration passes and when their AP came up for renewal they put those tickets towards their AP.

Unfortuantely, living in Canada makes it tough to get down to WDW so there's some serious consideration underway regarding our possible December trip. If we lived close enough I'm sure we'd be doing the same thing as those folks but there is a bunch of planning that needs to take place in order for us to return "home" ;)

HTH

Just saw this, I don't know if we can use it though because we are staying in the All-Star Music suite.

Called my AAA agent today & for 2 adults it was a better deal with the AAA promotion than the free hopping/water park deal. In addition, they added a $25 gift card per room to our reservation I think as part of a January promotion. We will be traveling in May 7 wanted to see what the better deal was-this time AAA- & an extra $25 that I didn't even know about. Not bad for a 2 minute phone call!!!

Are there only so many packages avalabel per resort? Because we had to switch from movies to pop!:hippie: Its all good!

Magic Your Way Package + Dining - ZFC

I know it says that these codes were for value resorts, but I just got Free Park Hopping and Waterparks & More at CSR!!!!! :cool1: I thought I'd try it and it worked!!

Does anyone know what the actual savings would be doing this? We are booked at AKL. I spoke to a CM and was told I could still use the promotion for the tickets, but I was a little confused about what the actual dollar amount savings is.

TIA:)

It depends on how many people are in your party. The park hopper option with the water park option is $101 per person. HTH!

i just called about my may trip and unfortunately they don't have anything for POFQ. however, she was able to tell me what the price would've been and as it turns out, i would save about $100 by just keeping what i have now and getting tix through a third party, so no loss. i am just hoping that someone will come out with a room only code.

On Monday at 7am, I called to apply the new promotion to my existing POFQ ressie for May 25-June 2 and was able to save over $345 for a family of three. Woo-hoo!

Original cost (dining plus hoppers): $3,183.85

Price with code applied: $2,838.27

Total Savings: $345.58

My DS is only 3 so I really don't see us using the "waterparks and more" part of the promotion.
When I called AAA and Disney CRO today and compared, I'm giving up the AAA discount to add options I really won't use.
AAA discount on the room and Park Hoppers only from Undercover Tourist wound up being $100 cheaper than the packages w/the "free" options.
I know it's not quite comparing apples to apples, but how often is the 3 year old really going to go to Disney Quest and Pleasure Island?? (Or Blizzard Beach for that matter)

It's interesting that you weren't able to get a discount for Pop. I used Dreams Unlimited and requested a quote last night. They emailed me this morning and the code worked for me at Pop. If you really want to stay at Pop maybe you should try using Dreams Unlimited. They are very helpful! Good luck!

I called Disney today and was able to use the code we are staying at Pop,I saved 166 for the two of us

Our T. A. was able to save us 175.00 on our stay at the Poly. She seemed to believe there would be more codes available soon.
