I totally expect to see another picture of that Fry Daddy doing some fryin' in Florida! Now, we'll have to wait oh so patiently for that first live update ...

Heidi ~ your story maybe? popcorn::

~ The Man Report ~ ~ Duck Butter & Amish Cheese ~

To better understand a “Man Report”, one must become familiar with “Man” Lingo. I started the lessons during the last trip report and while most of you passed the exam, some failed miserably. Hopefully, you’ll pay better attention this year.

Last time we covered GAT, Lurpin’, AU, buggin’, Egg-Timer’s, and Ungowa.

This year we’ll get a little more advanced.

Gumby – Any type of alcoholic beverage but generally a “beer”.

Stymied – A state of being after you’ve over-indulged on alcohol. Remember last March at 8-Trax when I fell off the dance floor? Yes, I was “stymied”. ::yes::

Ip-Dip – Whenever someone does something dumb, they’re an “Ip-Dip”. When I lost the car last year at Downtown Disney, Loud Girl called me an “Ip-Dip”.

Duck Butter – Reference to Chapstick, Carmex or Blistex. I like to rub a little duck butter on my lips before bed. :) I use the “rubby” to wipe off any excess “Butter”.

Stick-in-the-gut – When you have a piercing pain in your abdomen usually caused by an unwise combination of food/drink. :stir: Feels like someone pushing a pointed stick into your stomach only inside-out.

I know what you’re thinking. Exactly how often does the “Man” clan have gastrointestinal issues that they need a “term” for it? Unfortunately, the answer is “Way too often”. :sad2:

Let’s use the new Lingo in a paragraph, shall we?

About the time LtP had finished her 5th Gumby, she began to slur her words indicating that she had become Stymied. Like an Ip-Dip, she then proceeded to order the deer sausage & sauerkraut lasagna for dinner. By 5 a.m. the next morning she was a complete wreck and complained of a Stick-in-the-gut while huddled around the commode. Her lips were dry and cracked due to a lack of Duck Butter.

For LtP, Gumby = wine.

Also, one more word that I cannot take credit for (blue_river made this up).

Gatster- If you are the G.A.T. Master Extraordinaire, then you are a Gatster. For example: I am the Gatster… you are not! :cool2:

If you don’t know what G.A.T. means, please refer to my March 07 Man Report, page 3 (link in sig).

Ok, enough of that. Time to move on.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have you ever been to an Amish Cheese Festival? No? You have no idea what you’re missing.
Four years ago we went to Disneyland/California Adventure for a week and located just outside the little winery at CA was a group of carts and Amish people selling their custom cheese.
While this was no actual Festival, it was unique nonetheless.
I believe these were actual Amish Cheese people as opposed to Cast Members posing as Amish Cheese people.
Well, let me tell you. That wonderful Amish Cheese coupled with a quart of cabernet sauvignon was the most heavenly experience I’ll probably ever experience.
I ended up buying a big 6 pound block of the fine Amish Cheddar and tossed it under our stroller.
As the day wore on, I would crack a chunk off every now and then to gnaw on it whilst sipping delicious Budweiser Stout. It was one of my finer Disney moments.
Those of you wondering where this story is leading will now be addressed. My question to you is this: Why don’t we get Amish Cheese at Epcot? I mean really! Why does Disneyland get all the good stuff? It would go perfect with the Food & Wine festival don’t you think? They could have a kiosk set up near Morocco and sell their cheese by the slice, 1 pound block, or a family style 6 pounder. For that matter, they could sell their Amish Rutabaga Wine along with it.
Anyway, just makes you wonder. :confused:
Next Up: An Unfortunate Altercation with Steve Buscemi
Yess! It's that time of year where I get to read the Man Report. Love all the new lingo and looking forward to hearing about some serious "Ungowa" callings. Just don't break your toe this time!
By the way, I'm surprised you didn't get sick from the Amish Cheese. If it was out in the heat all day.........well you get the idea. Sounds like another bagel dog incidence.
I thought you left already ... :confused3
I love that Amish Cheese story. It's just one of those tear-jerking stories the grandkids will love to pass down to their grandkids ... :banana:
... and I am so looking forward to the Steve Buscemi altercation ... :banana:
you can never get too many :banana: :banana:
Okay, while watching NFL game mix on DirecTV and laying, lying...you get the drift...on the couch SICK as a dog, I read BOTH TRs....I was entertained for upwards of 2-3 hours......Thanks...
Now looking forward to reading a whole new TR and what hilarity ensues.:cool1: :thumbsup2
Safe journey to WDW..As a former DL CM, I am a professional at GAT....;)
And here I was thinking that duck butter was something you mixed with Amish cheese and put in the Fry Daddy. I'm such an ip-dip.
That's funny too! :rotfl: You guys are killing me. This is just what the Dr. ordered.
Thanks Kathy. We're here in our room now. Safe and sound. Watching LtP unpack 100 pounds of crap we brought with us. It's a sight to behold. She like the Uber-Nester right now.
Glad you're safe and sound in Florida. When you get a chance, could you post which days you'll be where? The virtual stalking is so much fun!
Sooooo......
Tell us what you fried up for breakfast this morning! :rotfl:
Have a great first day!! :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:
Kathy
Glad to hear you made it safe and sound! Now go have a good time!:banana:
my DW is from an Amish country area, you would not believe the amount of cheese houses they have out there. We usually go on Saturdays for lunch, it is amazing how much eating cheese for a few hours in teh afternoon can fill you up, and stop you up, if you know what I mean. :sad2:
That's the plan! :thumbsup2 LtP has a bit of a... er... reputation. Stopping her up is a good thing.
Mon - 10/8 - Epcot, Akershus Princess Lunch, Fulton's Crab House Dinner
Obviously Epcot done, Akershus done, Fulton's for dinner ... that place gave me the runs on my birthday back in 1997! Just thought I'd share that with you.
Sat - 10/13 - Epcot, (babysitter that night) Narcoosees dinner for two, Pleasure Island party time :banana:
The night of the TR we will definitely be looking forward to!
Sun - 10/14 - Animal Kingdom, Flying Fish Dinner
I know you will not be posting live on this day ... and you're actually going to the AK the day after PI? :lmao:
Tue - 10/16 - Magic Kingdom, (babysitter that night) Bistro De Paris dinner for two, 7:30 pm Off Kilter, 8:30 pm David Cassidy, 9 pm Illuminations
I love David Cassidy. Did you know that I dumped Donny Osmond so I could marry David Cassidy??? Take some pictures please!!!!
I'll be easy to find. Look for a staggering GAT-Master near the French wine kiosk with the purple stain on the front of his shirt. :wave2:
I will keep an eye out! I will more than likely run into you actually, because I am in EPCOT on the 13th and Animal Kingdom on the 14th too! More realistically even, I will walk by you, probably make eye contact or even smile, and have no clue who you are! I'll look for myself in your photos though.:cool2:
More lingo to learn? I think you should post these new words on the first page so I can refer back to them.
OH! You had lunch with the Princesses today!! It would be great if you could give us a teaser and post at least one pic from that :3dglasses
Hey - how are the "little boys" behaving??? Are they sneaking off a lot?
We leave for Fulton's in 45 minutes. I'm hoping to avoid the "runs". Thanks for the heads up though DM. Anything you can pinpoint? Do you have any photos? Let me know. :thumbsup2
The princess lunch was good. Loud Girl loved it. Jane from Tarzan was one of the so called princesses. Our server said getting a picture of her was rare.
DDD, seriously, if you see us flag us down. We'll have a stroller with the two monkeys in it and I'll be wearing a white hat and shades. LtP won't have a hat but she'll be wearing sunglasses. We'll look almost exactly like the photo in the first post of this thread.
Jumping in for this report.
I've been out of town for 3 days and actually had to do some work this morning but got caught up with your report after lunch.
Glad you made it safe and sound and to hear that the good times have already started.
Fry Daddy sounds fun....dangerous but fun
Oh and why do women get upset about toe nails clippings on the counter?
It's better then in bed
