I had absolutely no idea Loud Girl was "lost." Trey & I were finishing our lunch and sat there waiting forever. They finally came out and Buzz said it was time to go. As we were walking out of the restaurant, he said, "Did you know there's a 2nd exit by the bathroom? It goes out the back." Uh, no I didn't. Scary feeling for Buzz. I was totally oblivious, thank goodness.
I did lose the kids at times though. I'm a very over protective parent but sometimes those rascals get away from me. Three times I lost Loud Girl. Once in
Walmart-she ran off to the game room. I was looking at something on a shelf and saw her run off out of the corner of my eye. I put down was I was looking at but by then she was gone. I was about to become hysterical, when the thought popped into my head, "She's in the Game Room." And she was.
Another time at the grocery store, I -You know, I have to interrupt this because whenever any parent loses their kids and they say, "It was only a few seconds." Well, it really is-those kids can be fast. I handed the clerk my check and looked down to put my checkbook in my purse and Loud Girl was gone. She was shorter than the counters so I couldn't tell which way she went and I was worried she ran out into the parking lot. I was yelling her name and a boxboy said, "She's over in the bakery." She was looking at Easter cookies.
One time I lost her at the house-she fell asleep in her playhouse and I couldn't find her. That was scary too.
Trey stays practically right under my feet at all times. Like Nova did to her mom, he stands behind me, but he doesn't move when I do so half the time, I'm tripping over him. One time, we were at my parents' house. My grandma lived 2 houses down and he adored her. I let Trey go play in the yard-my mom said the gates were locked-he couldn't get out, but they've got a pond and a pool so I keep a watchful eye on him. I remember talking to my dad briefly and then I went to check on Trey when the phone rang. It was my grandma. She wondered if we were missing anyone. My mom had locked their gates, but not the garage door and he zipped out and went to visit Granny. They live right by the river and he loves water. That could've been a catastrophe. I didn't tell Buzz that until a few months ago-he would've flipped his lid.
Guitar Hero rocks-I keep looking for it in our stores, but they don't have it for the Wii-only PS2 and PS3 and the PC.
DM-I love your picture!!
I love Nancy Grace, but would hate to be on the receiving end of her wrath-she's one tough cookie.
